The Traveling Companion D&D Podcast
Project Overview
The Traveling Companion YouTube channel is a place where stories are told and people can come and sit and listen.
We tell stories from the Dungeons and Dragons world of Faerun, to the cult infested alleys of Call of Cthulhu.
Come join us in saving the world and sometimes destroying it.
Note: You will not be Assigned to the Role because I'm hoping to get multiple people to join!
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
As the main face of the the Campaign, you will be the one to make the story and prepare collaborative story telling with the players. You will not be expected to do anything other than tell the story you and the players want to tell. But you are expected to pay attention to any potential problems that need to be faced such as player conflict or scheduling.
First time DM's should not be scared to put in there bid to join as everybody needs to start somewhere and we can always find a place for you whether that be a long form campaign or a one shot.
*Must Have*
Discord
An Open Schedule (Not in an "On Call" way, but a way that allows you to set a a few hours aside to run a game)
Good Mic (No crackles or buzzing)
- english
- dungeons and dragons
- dungeon master
What TTRPG games have you learned?
Are there any games you want to learn?
How open is your schedule?
As a Player you are not expected to do much other than just be there. Which in the D&D community is a pretty big deal. We want you to be able to make it to games without trouble and have a fun and cooperative attitude with the other players.
If you believe you have more to offer by all means offer as we are a team.

We will be recording and uploading each episode of the respected seasons for Spotify and YouTube and making sure the audio sounds good, the Ums, and and the sneezes are deleted.
You will be expected to be ready to edit once the recordings are done and have them done in about a week. This time frame of course is only expected out of you assuming there is only one game going at a time as you are not expected to drop everything to edit multiple different episodes.
Spotify Editing consists of making sure the audio is clear and things such as background noise, sneezing, dogs barking, are taken out of the audio.
YouTube Editing consists the same as Spotify but with the Player Art lighting up with different rings to show who is speaking and if given fade in and out the battle map with arrows and visual effects placed in to give the video something different so we don't carbon copy. (Get fancy with it, have fun!)

Now you'd be surprised how bad of an artist I am. Your job would essentially be to set up the color scheme and make the thumbnail pop out for people to want to click on the video.
This role is a little less needed since the same thumbnail will be used for each campaign with the new number added on but if you want to have something you made as our thumbnail then this is the role for you!
