Project Overview

Looking to recruit voice talent for secondary characters in the latest episode of The Boris Blobinski Show!


About the Series:

The Boris Blobinski Show revolves around the life and friends of Boris Blobinski, a 45 year old blob fish man that is passionate about vlogging and dipping sauces. The BBS originally started off as  intentionally low quality reaction content, now evolved into a fully animated web series.

Requirements:
- You must be 18 or older to be considered

- Make sure your recordings are as clean as possible and with minimal background noise. USB and XLR mics are totally fine!

- You can audition for more than one role, but no more than three takes per line.

- Include your Discord handle in the audition. 

- You will need a Paypal account as this is a paid gig.


Deadline:

Auditions will end on January 31st, with roles being dolled out within the first week of February.

    Howdy all! Been a bit hasn't it? Well I've finally come bearing great news; the first part of Episode 04 is NOW LIVE! You can check it out over here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GFI5ru18BY

    I want to give another major shout out to my fellas Chris Curasi for his reprisal as Carpanthony, and Stelyos for not only his audio engineering prowess, but for his fantastic performance as Mr. Baspis!

    Now that we cleared the first half, let's talk Part 2!

    As of now I have started building a production schedule and will be kicking off parts of pre-production ideally this weekend. I still need to tie some loose ends with voice recording, ( for myself and Stelyos) And there is the possibility of hiring a couple more creative hands on deck! Very exciting stuff all around!

    As for the final release date for Part 2, the ideal is to have it released by the end of Summer, but no later than before October.

  • Boris Blobinski Update #04 - The Choosen Cast and a very big thank you to all!

    Good morning, afternoon, or evening wherever you are!

    Now, this last bit goes out to everyone, regardless if you've been selected or not;

    I really want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. As an animator with a small following, I never would have imagined so many of you coming out of the bolt of blue and providing me with all of your amazing and entertaining takes on these three characters. I was anticipating a dead lull in December, with maybe 30-50 submissions in total. Boy I was so wrong!
    While I truly enjoyed listening to everyone's auditions, facing the challenge of whittling it down to three people was incredibly hard to do. As someone who also auditioned for voice roles in the past, I understand how it feels when you end up not getting selected. Now as someone being the orchestrator of an audition, I now understand how difficult the final selection process can be.

    So for those who didn't get their desired role, I would love for you all to come back and try again for any upcoming projects I have in the pipeline. Until that day comes around, I wish you nothing but the best of success as you venture forth into your passions, Voice Acting or otherwise!

    Hello all!

    Today is the final day to submit your auditions for Gale and Monika!

    Once auditions close, I will be spending the next few days to review the remaining entrants.

    Because this project received so many entries, I will be announcing/reaching out to the selected talent on the week of February 5th!

  • Boris Blobinski Update #02 - The Deadline Cometh + Reviews

    Greetings and Happy Sunday everyone! (Or Monday wherever you are.)
    As of this writing, there's still 10 days left to submit your auditions for the roles of Gayle and Monika! I am going to start privately reviewing all your amazing takes this week in order to speed up the selection process in early February.

    I recently finished doing my first wave of reviews for the Silas submissions, and I was absolutely floored by every one of your takes! Considering that I have to pick one actor amongst 30+ of you, this is going to make the decision making process so much harder. ( but in a good way! )

    So remember folks, get those takes in by the end of the 31st, and you'll hear from me again real soon! Until then, enjoy the rest of your January!

  • Boris Blobinski Update #01 - A big ol' thank you + future submissions for Silas

    Salutations, gang!
    Hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! This project has been up for only 2 days and already it is climbing over 30 submissions! Given that we are in the midst of the biggest holiday month, I did not expect such a large turnout so soon!
    For everyone who has submitted an audition sample up to this point, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart! As a small scale indie animator and creator, and being this is my first time scouting roles, this means so much to me!

    And Speaking of roles...
    I received quite a hefty bulk of submissions for Silas Thornkiss already, (Over 20 in fact!) and since I'm the sole project runner, I'll be going through each submission personally in order to find... ' The One'. So in order to keep my sanity in check, I'm going to throw in a cut-off date for future submissions regarding this role. After Friday, December 8th 11:59 PST, I will not be accepting anymore submissions for Silas.
    While I could officially close the role, that means I would have to assign someone to it immediately. Assigning all roles within the same week would be much preferred, as I would like to spend as much time as possible to review each of your submissions.

Gale is the proprietor of Ridgefin Golf Course and runs the onsite rental shop. Despite her gruff eyepatched exterior, she's

quite pleasant to be around and is eager to provide the best golfing experience to all her patrons. 

Suggested reference: I imagine she'd work well with a southern accent (leaning on Georgian or Tidewater), or a crackly voice similar to Marge Simpson. Please feel free to do a completely different take outside of these!

  • Good afternoon, this is Monika Garling with a breaking news report. Local police and volunteers are continuing their search for Sacca, a twenty nine year old fish man that was last seen on his family’s compound two days ago. His parents describe him as very polite and obedient, with large eyes and a jawless mouth. He is also said to have a small set of devastatingly powerful arms. The parents do not have a recent photograph of their son, but they were able to produce a detailed sketch to assist with the search. This is what he looks like.

Silas is an unhinged troublemaker squatting on Ridgefin Grounds, stealing the patrons' golf balls in order to raise an 'army'

for his 'kingdom'. He is constantly very loud and angry.

NOTE: Due to the high volume of submissions, the deadline to submit for this specific role will be Friday, December 8th 11:59 PST. Any submissions beyond the 8th will not be considered. 

Suggested reference: When I created Silas I felt like a surly lisp would suit his disgruntled persona, very much in the vein of

Murder Face from Metalocalypse. Feel free to try other voice types/styles for this character though!
