Survival Cycle

Age:17(the rest of the chapters) (was 14 at the beginning)

Role: Main character

Iris is the main character of the Survival Cycle and the one the player controls. In default, she is a very calm yet playful character, loving to tease her parents and her sister but still cares about them deeply.

She tries to trust strangers even though it can backfire, and has continued to do so. 

Hoping one day that a group of strangers they run into will be with them like family.

She is very much into drawing, possibly wanting to go into an art field when she grew up, and she treasures everything she is given, like a hairpin her mother gave her for her 14th birthday.

However, she can be slightly unaware of her surroundings and it takes a moment for her to understand situations. She struggles to be independent from sticking with Fay for so long in survival, but wants to desperately break out of that shell.

Her voice will fit her personality of playful, but can be calm and sometimes aggressive at times when she needs something to be done.

Kaya is a very level headed woman in the way she thinks, but is very tempered when things don't go according to plan. She doesn't like new people or people she doesn't trust, and isn't afraid to speak her mind.

Growing up, her dad was very controlling of her. Even with this, she never hated her dad. She looked up to him, and is as they call "A daddy's girl".

Any voice may suit her, prefer to maybe be mid to slightly low tone and blunt.

Carlos is the one that wanted to help Iris when they first met. He is a friendly, charming guy that has supposedly saved many others before.

He cares about the wellbeing of everyone in his group and trusts too easily with strangers.

 One time during a scavenge with his brother, Aaron, and Clay, A stranger threatened him with a gun. He went off on the stranger and Aaron pushed him out the way, but he got shot and died in the process. Clay yelled at him, but didn't blame him for his death.

Again, another time scavenging with Kate and Kate's mother, they tried escaping a herd of walkers, Kate's mother got trapped and mauled. Carlos blames himself for her death.

He used to have a girlfriend named Ruby before the apocalypse, but she moved away. 

His goal is to one day see her again.

He also was known to be reckless and quite angry before Iris and Fay showed up, as Clay and Kate will recall.

However, he has changed his ways, vowing he will not make a mistake again to hurt people.

He has his flaws but he tries his best, being a master at the bow and arrow and trusting his inner instincts.

His voice just needs to be friendly and warm.

Clay is the doctor of the main group. He is very sweet and loves to help people. He has a 7 year old daughter named Eden, and has taught her most things she needs to know on how to survive. Despite being very open with Eden about the dangers of the world, he is quite overprotective.

Eden is a 7 year old girl who has learned how to defend herself by her father, Clay. She has learned how to help people in medical situations, how to fish, how to kill walkers etc.

Her mother passed away when she was only 1 years old.

She is very sweet and caring to everyone she meets.

Her voice will be slightly higher pitched, due to her being a child.

Jack is Orien's best friend and is a friendly face to Iris.

Orien and Jack have been best friends since the beginning, Jack being Orien's first choice of where to go for help.

Jack is not the best at defending himself or shooting a gun, he uses a frying pan he has named Dimitri as his primary weapon.

He is very skilled in navigation and intrigued by history, wanting to be a history teacher when he grew up to the right age.

When they found everyone else in the main group, he tried to help when and where he could, even going out of his comfort zone of survival to do it.

He is not the greatest at taking care of himself, being very vulnerable to conflicts and situations. He cares about everyone, especially Orien, and really wants them to just have safety above all.

Ryan is a Scottish man that worked on cars for a living before the apocalypse started. He was alone for most of his life, wanting to be independent until he was ready to find love. 

However, when the apocalypse started, he knew he needed to find people he could trust. 

He found a guy named Felix, they quickly became best friends over many things they had in common like their career paths in life.

They both found Luna all by herself and stuck with her ever since, teaching her everything she needed to handle herself. 

Together they all helped protect each other.

Felix got bitten, and Ryan had to put him down before he turned. Both are distraught about the situation but promised to him they will find safety.

They stumbled upon Damen, Ben and Mark and stayed with them.

He has a Scottish accent, and his voice is deep and calm.

Luna is a girl that was abandoned by her parents at a young age. She grew up too quickly, needing to learn how to take care of herself when she was only 12 years old. 

She found herself some form of support, by going to an orphanage and she stayed there until the apocalypse happened.

When the walkers killed around her, she found she had a new determination to make a new life out of the horrible situation.

She was found by Ryan and Felix, in which they taught her more on how to survive.

She is a very sweet individual who cares about protecting people, despite how harsh they may be. However, if strangers get aggressive towards Ryan, she will be aggressive back. 

She thinks of Ryan as a father figure for her.

Lucy is a doctor of the group that the main cast joins. She is reserved but not afraid to speak her mind, and she takes a liking to the main cast.

Before the apocalypse, she always wanted to be a doctor when she grew up. However, because of the struggles of her family's financial situation, it was hard to achieve what she wanted. She went to med school with help from Athena, but shortly after starting, the apocalypse started.

Athena and Lucy met in high school and stayed in contact ever since.

She is very gentle with everyone she meets, observing what each person is like and acting accordingly.

When meeting the rest of the group they currently are with, she was weary and annoyed at first, Nick and Damen being completely irrational and acting out without cause.

But overtime, she learned to understand their needs and triggers.

She very rarely leaves the safety of the hospital, Damen seeing her as too valuable to lose.

Athena is a Texan girl that has somehow been able to make sure Nick isn't so much of a dick to others. 

She is very sweet and is very confident in what she can and cannot do, which makes her a light of motivation for those around her.

Before the apocalypse, she worked as a vet and spent her time learning fashion and makeup design on the side. Lucy was a great friend of hers in high school, which still holds quite strong in the present.

She always loved to be independent and do things herself, but she always appreciated some help. She has had quite a smooth run-up of life, managing to work and move away from her hardworking parents and live by herself.

She has gotten very good at techniques to use against Walkers and other conflicts, but she sometimes isn't very observant of her surroundings and gets caught in sticky situations.

Nick is a 40 year old asshole who doesn't care about anyone but himself.

Most of his life he was stuck in a dead end job he hated and got into a lot of bar fights. He could hardly uphold an upkeep of an apartment and never found love or hobbies for himself.

The only person in his family he kept in touch with was his cousin: Rowan, but after he went away to join the military Nick had nobody to talk to.

To keep away the stress, he started smoking and has been smoking for 20 years, quickly becoming a problem for the apocalypse.

He doesn't trust anyone easily at all, and would rather take the chance of taking what they have to keep himself alive, rather than trusting them.

The only person that somehow can get through to him is Athena, a Texan girl that lets off some weight on his shoulders and keeps things civil.

Though they have mutuality between them, he doesn't care for her at all and doesn't care if she gets hurt or dies.

He is a selfish asshole.

After finding Damen and the others, he didn't mind their company, only for the sole purpose of keeping himself protected and fed.

Ben is a chill 17 year old kid that is always crowded by his dad, Damen.

After watching his mom and brother dying in front of him, he had always been scared of guns and gunshots. This is heightened by him being shot in the eye.

To help him calm down, he uses an old ipod and a pair of headphones to calm himself down with music. 

This was the last gift he'd received from his mom.

After their deaths, he was couped up by Damen and is never allowed to be outside unless it is with Damen or 3 other people.

He really wants to help the group, but Damen refuses him to help the others, as he thinks Ben cannot handle himself.

After the main cast shows up, he grows feelings for Iris. 

He genuinely cares for people, but doesn't know exactly how to show it.

Damen is a 41 year old man that is a HUGE family man. He loved his family more than anything in the world and would do anything and everything to make them happy.

He joined a community near the start of the apocalypse to keep his family safe.

After his family were accused of stealing mass amounts of supplies, his wife and 6 year old son were gunned down in front of him. His 17(current) year old son Ben got shot in the eye but lived.

Damen broke down mentally and killed every single person in that community to avenge their deaths.

He swore from that day on, he will protect Ben with his life and soul, and keep him in his sight always.

He found Mark in a burned down building and took him in.

When it comes to family, he is VERY overprotective, and he will always put that first. Other than that, he is quite calm and collected in the way he thinks, and doesn't uphold grudges against people's mistakes.

However, sometimes his anger gets the best of him if people don't appreciate what he calls "sacrifices" that he makes for them.

Cole is a charming guy that tries to keep things positive with jokes. He tries to avoid conflict when he can but he can be pretty stubborn when it comes to arguments.

He makes quite a lot of mistakes when it comes to survival and trying to help out, which gets him in trouble quite a lot.

Before the apocalypse, he was working a bunch of jobs one after another, since he just wanted to earn money to do what he wanted. However, unsatisfied with the result, he went to college and stuck to the idea that he wanted to be an animator, taking inspiration from his sister, Megan, who worked in that industry.

Just getting out of college, the apocalypse started.

He also tried to find love quite a lot, but soon finds that he is Asexual, in which he has perfectly come to terms with in his life.

Mark is a guy that worked as a fitness instructor before the apocalypse. He loved athleticism and a fresh lifestyle, making him very positive and energetic to anyone he met.

As the apocalypse happened, his family got caught in a house fire.

He was the only one to survive, leaving burn scars on his face and chest.

Damen and Ben found him and took him in, kept him safe and fed. 

He vouched to them that he would protect them with his life for saving him from certain death.

He still tries to keep his positivity, and his strength helps out in many different ways. 

Sometimes he doesn't even need a weapon to deal with walkers.

However, he and Damen have very different worldviews on both strangers and how the group should be handled, which ends up in a lot of arguments between the two.

Iris(the main character)'s father, Derek, is a very independent man that doesn't like to ask for help. From the little you see of him, he likes to crack a joke or two, and also cares deeply for Elizabeth, his wife. However, he is not understanding of Fay's future plans.

Iris(the main character)'s mother, Elizabeth, is a sweet caring mom that does whatever it takes to make her family happy. From the little the players will see of her they know she loves to bake and try new things, and worries for the wellbeing of everyone.
