Suitor Armor Comic Dub
Project Overview
Greetings and salutations!
This casting call is for a comic dub of the webtoon Suitor Armor! It's a romantic and fantasy tale of lady-in-waiting, Lucia, who has spent her whole life tending to her princess and best friend, Kirsi, in preparing for her destined wedding day. However, Lucia didn't account for falling head over heels for Modeus, an up-and-coming knight to the king's guard. Who is, definitely, a magical suit of armor.
There is light levels of cursing in the story and there are sudden shifts of themes in regards of war and death that may be heavy for some, so I would request that those of you auditioning are 15 or older and comfortable with addressing these themes! This is also an LGBTQ friendly project, for sure!
I also ask that if you decide to audition, you will be punctual if not early with turning in your lines! If you need any extensions for any reason, then I understand completely and will provide extensions for you specifically. But please do your best to be timely with your lines once cast!
Be kind and nice to everyone else in the project. This is for fun, so please be respectful. I will take you out of the project if you do anything that is considered bullying or just downright mean and disrespectful.

Kirsi is the princess and best friend of Lucia. Is cares very deeply for Lucia and is protective of her, as a friend and adoptive sister. She loves fashion, makeovers, and doing anything princess-like and feminine. She is a charming young woman but worries deeply about her relationship with her betrothed and over the comforts of Lucia.

Voice Type: High / Medium-High, light, sweet, and proper with your diction.
[Hungover, in pain] AH! TOO COLD!! TOO BRIGHT!!!
[Worried, disheartened] Why can't he throw a ball or something I want to do? Or what about a romantic picnic? Do you think he is avoiding me?
[Lecture, certain] Don't "my lady" me! You told me I had to try and enjoy myself, and that means talking knights and men with my best friend. Honestly, you have your pick here. It's like a day at the market.
[Mischievous] That's right. They are 100% MEAT!
King Reimund is the young king of his kingdom. He is a bachelor and loves fights and the hunt. Very much a dude bro while trying to become the king that his father was.
Voice Type: Medium / Medium-Low. Feel free to go for a European accent of some kind, I am open to your interpretation. I'm looking for a warm, king-like voice, yet it is still youthful enough to tell that he is a new, young king that is still (Technically) a bachelor.
[Calm, welcoming] It is a pleasure to have you join us, Lady Kirsi.
[Excited and thrilled, impressed] Excellent! Wondrous! Gods above, Norrix! You have truly outdone yourself! And to think you were keeping it a secret for so long!
[Amused, condescending on that later half from "go on..."] Ha! It is like a newborn babe with it's first toy! Go on! Bestow your favor!
Court Mage Norrix is the creator of Modeus and has a big crush on Lucia. He is immediately charmed by her and her fascination with magic.
Voice Type: Medium / Medium-High. Proper, dark and brooding, capable of having bouts of anger and intolerance in his tone, but also able to be lovestruck and charmed. Neat diction.
[Very serious, mildly threatening and hard on the last line] This is now or never. We're not going to get another chance. So do not fail me.
[Charmed by Lucia, his crush on her has developed here, a bit of a flirty tone] Really? Well, it would be my pleasure, Lady Lucia.
[Condescending and dismissive, then flustered and a bit bashful on the last line, gets cut off] It can hardly understand the meaning behind such a reward. Perhaps I might-
Baynard is the king's champion knight and one of the strongest knight's in the land. He has a squire named Peres and they are secret lovers. Baynard is charming, dashing, strong, arrogant, and a loud individual. He is egotistical but very loyal to his friends and Peres.
Voice Type: Medium. I am curious to hear any kind of accent for Baynard, specifically Spanish accents, but this is not required for the audition. I want to be surprised by this one.
[Confident, cocky but gladly accepts the king's request] I would hate to put our good mage's work out of commission on it's first day. But should my king command it, it shall be done.
[Charming, smooth] I look forward to presenting you my rose - and well wishes to your upcoming marriage, my lady.
[Gritted teeth, intense and determined to win] I'll be damned if I let a hunk of metal beat me!
Peres is the squire and secret boyfriend of Baynard. As their love is forbidden, Peres keeps their romance on the down low. He is thoughtful, inquisitive, and the more levelheaded of the both of them. Peres is a sensible young man, for sure.
Voice Type: Medium-High. Light and calm sort of voice. I imagine a tone that is reminiscent of a male version of Pearl from Steven Universe for Peres.
[Unsure of the battle Baynard accept, venting to Lucia] Sir Baynard has been undefeated for so long - he has beaten every knight at court at least twice... a testament to his skill. That being said, it has also given him an amount of confidence that, well... Makes it difficult for him to be cautious to new challenges such as this.
[Pleading, desperate, fearful for Baynard's life] Sir Baynard! Surrender! Your title is not worth your life! Please!
[Apologetic] My apologies, my lady, I gave him some wine in the hopes that it would calm him down and numb the pain. Obviously, it was a bad idea - he is not taking his loss very gracefully.
Quinn is a fairy spy that came to the castle in search of Modeus. They aim to destroy Modeus before he becomes a danger to fairy-kind.
Voice Type: I want to be surprised by the auditions for Quinn. They could be high or low, accented or neutral American, effeminate-leaning or masculine-leading. The one thing I ask is for is a lot of character when voicing them; be comical when it needs that comic touch, sarcastic and snarky, serious, fierce, sensitive, etc. This character has a range of emotional delivery.
[Thinking at first, then smirks on the last two lines as he sees his "target"] We need someone who can give us the information that we need... Someone like... A guard finishing his rounds.
[Sly smirk, serious and threatening] What do you know about the metal man?
[Confident and loud] AH-HA! Prepare to face your demise you metal monstrosity!
[Comical, led to a trap] ...shit.
