Project Overview

This is a Stupid Short Eevee Comic (SSEC) Fandub. What you'll be doing is voicing one or more characters in the comic. There are several roles opened! The first 2 episodes of the fandub is on youtube, here

Stupid Short Eevee comic is a comedy drama webcomic, following the lives of a group of eeveelutions and eevees who live in their trainer's PC box. There are a ton of characters, most minor, so new roles will open up and actors picked may be asked to do more than one character. It is an ongoing series, so the number of episodes of the dub that might be made is unknown. 


I highly recommend reading the comic before trying out, so you can understand the personality of the characters and how the story goes.

We are recasting Dusk's voice because the previous voice actor stepped down from the position due to life reasons.

Requirements:

  • Have a good quality mic with Minimal background noise
  • You must have a Discord. If you don't,  It is fairly easy to set one up. This will be our main form of contact, and The people who are casted will get an invite to the server where we converse
  • Try to portray the characters with emotion!
  • Feel free to try out different types of tones, accents, etc to portray the character you are auditioning for. I am not looking for a particular type of voice for any of the characters, but, your voice should try to match their personalities.
  • If you can sing, that'll be nice, but, that is optional
  • Please try to be nice!!

Dusk is one of the 3 main characters of the series. He can be a bit weird at times, but he can also be really charming and funny. He seems to get along with everyone fairly well, and is very popular in general. He is usually playing with Blizz, or on the roof. But, He gets lonely very easily, and is very secretive. His prefered voice would have a lot of range, being able to both be very goofy, and yet, very serious. Being close in voice to the original Dusk VA is preferred, but not needed.

  • (Informational, Teaching a class)
    Potatoes are a very healthy Dairy food that grows on a potato tree! This is the potato tree guardian. The potato tree guardian guards the potato from it's mortal enemy, a caterpie that controls arceus with a magic sword he got from herobrine! Oh. And arceus also has a sword, but it is not magic.

  • (Conversational)

    Blizz. You didn't specify what type of computer you wanted. And, you know, I WOULD take it back now, buuuuuttttt, I have a date with *Pause for effect* this plastic cactus.

  • (Reminiscing, happy/relaxed) Remember when I tried to teach you about anime and manga? That was fun~ ... *awkward pause* Oh oh!! And remember when we were all eevees? We used to hang out all the time!!

Dean is a very serious, studious eevee. He's always working, and looks kind of sleepy. His voice is usually monotone/deadpan, showing very extreme emotions milder than normal. His voice would need to showcase this.

  • (Accusatory, angry) Don't play dumb with me, EVE! In this past month alone, Icedrop has accumulated more than 20 million poké in damages!

  • (Deadpan) August, Larry. Remember to organize the files in alphabetical order. There are two Stans in the box, so do NOT mix them up.

  • (Deadpan) ..I also see you have finally decided to join us (a bit lower, a side remark) after years of not showing up(Deadpan again) Pray tell, What is the occasion that has made you bless us with your presence?

Clef, Adam & other male roles

You will be tasked to do roles of several eevees, including Clef and Adam, a pair of really extra eevees who love Eve. Clef is in general always loud and in your face, while Adam is more calm, and only SOMETIMES loud. Adam is also very religious, worshiping arceus. Both don't have a voice preference, but Adam should speak in a slight old English accent because why not, and they should sound different from each other.
