SoulShift is an animated action/drama based in Sinpride, a massive floating city-state. The series focuses on Kyo Kitsuno, a sixteen-year-old high schooler who's lost interest in everything. He's pessimistic and rude to almost everyone and isn't interested in his future in the slightest. His mother is a depressed alcoholic after his father died on the job. Kyo's life changes when he discovers his power: Soul Shift. With this power, he is able to create a person or a Soul with just his mind. What led him to discover this power was when he accidentally created Mikou Akime, his vision of the perfect girlfriend. SoulShift isn't the only Shift power out there, as Kyo and Mikou meet various individuals with different abilities, such as Endus Yumi, Risuki Hisukawa, Nakaraya Sudama, Titania Scarlet, and Syca Jewel.
In addition to voice actors, there are other roles available. This will be a long ongoing project, so I hope you have a lot of patience. More roles and information will come out when I can post, meaning the deadline you see here will keep being extended, so don't worry, you have time. I'm taking a big risk with this project since it may or may not even get that many views, but the important thing is that I tried. If you're willing to take the risk and put in your all, this project is for you.
You MUST have Discord, so you can join the production server I'm going to start. If I decide to pick you, I'll send you my Discord so we can add each other. The server's main purpose is to establish chemistry with everyone on the team, so voice acting sounds more natural and production has proper communication. If you're shy, now's your chance to break out of your shell.
SoulShift Lore
If you're a guy or gal who likes to do their homework, I respect that. Can't relate, but I still respect that. This lore section will be divided into sections so everything you need to know is nice and organized.
Sinpride
There are various sections within Sinpride. The first is Monet, the entertainment/financial district. Malls, shops, restaurants, movie theaters, supermarkets, hospitals, electronics stores, you name it, Monet's got it. The next is Indus Prima, the industrial district. Full of factories. New Fiona is the residential district in Sinpride. This is where 99% of the population resides. Tons of houses, apartment buildings, and mansions. The last section is Old Fiona, the previous residential district abandoned about a century before the events of the show. Old Fiona was evacuated due to unknown causes until a group of researchers recently attempted to see if it was inhabitable again. 19 out of 20 disappeared, including Kyo's dad.
Academies
There are many educational facilities located in Sinpride, but the show will only focus on a few. One of them is Catalyst Academy, an average high school that the protagonists attend. Its student body is the worst quality about it, but I'll show that in the show. Another academy in Sinpride is Titan Academy, one of the most prestigious schools in the state. The Scarlets own this school. A school year in Sinpride starts in January and is split into three semesters. It is also year-round. For grade levels, it goes like this:
Shift Powers and Demons
I don't wanna spoil too much here, so I'll only explain the basics. Shift powers are the abilities to shift reality in some way. A Shift wielder can change/create things like emotions, weapons, time, mass, etc. Where these powers came from is a secret, though (sry). In this world, there are four things that humans can't manipulate or tame: Love, Hate, Life, and Death. Creatures called Demons are attracted to these things. There are individuals who monitor these things, who we call The Four Administrators of Humanity. Demons are blind and are almost deaf, but their scent is above all their other senses. Demons were recognized but humanity centuries before the present in the show but disappeared, so humans now just see them as ancient news, and some even want to believe that they are still out there somewhere...

Surako is a naive girl. Her parents are constantly fighting, which led her to meet Kyo in 1011 when she was in middle school and Kyo was a first-year high school student. She goes to the Kitsuno residence whenever her parents' arguing gets too noisy. Because of their arguments, Surako doesn't get the chance to eat sometimes, leading her to look very thin. She gets bullied for this, especially by Hitori Asake, Catalyst Academy's resident bully. She mistakes this bullying as Hitori's "strange way of making friends", so she doesn't complain. Surako also hides her sorrow by putting on a mask of fake pride/happiness. She sees Kyo as her only true friend. Surako is listed as supporting because she'll be more important later on.

Syca is an asshole. She was the butt of almost every joke in middle school. Her family, the Jewels, were well known because her father was accused of murdering her mother and her mother's friend in 999 when Syca was just 3 years old. The case was memorable because the other woman he was accused of killing was a popular singer that was known by almost every young person. She now lives with her grandparents. After it was revealed she was related to Tobias Jewel, her father, she was picked on almost every day. Kids found any reason to make her feel horrible, so she decided it was her turn when she entered High School. She now bullies other students occasionally, especially Titania Scarlet. Deep down, she doesn't want to act like this, but years of torment changed her. Her true personality is kind of like a tsundere. Her voice is high, with tsundere vibes (love 'em or hate 'em). She has a tendency to whine whenever she doesn't get her way.

Titania is the resident know-it-all of Catalyst Academy. Her classmates resent her because of this. She has no friends because of this. She also gets nervous easily when put in the spotlight, because of her social anxiety. Because of her timidity, Titania is easy to take advantage of, an example being blackmailed into doing someone else's homework. She is also the student council president. Titania also has a... dark side when you push her over the edge. As the oldest daughter of the Scarlet Family, a conglomerate that is one of the most powerful in Sinpride. She should have a mature, yet timid voice.

A delinquent. Nakaraya doesn't want to be one, but he always gets pulled into situations that keep labeling him as one. He is sensitive on the inside. Dude is also jacked, as he used to be really small and weak, so he wanted to change that so he'd stop being picked on. When he attempts to make friends, they usually get scared away because of his reputation, and because of this, he's forced to associate with the other delinquents of the school. Nakaraya wants to be a normal student, but his intimidating look and reputation stop him from doing that. He should have a deep, intimidating voice for an almost-eighteen-year-old.

All the guys she hooks up with get with her for the achievement. After that, the next day they ignore her, making her more desperate in her attempts. She is very extroverted, but the rumors about her get to her easily. Risuki is very passionate and likes to tease people, so her voice should sound authoritative and outgoing.

Mikou Akime was created in Kyo's image of his perfect girlfriend. She is basically the polar opposite of him: upbeat, always happy, polite, and passionate about helping others. Due to her being an artificial soul, her motivations are almost entirely focused on Kyo, and making him happy (which proves to be quite difficult). Her voice is high to medium in pitch and should sound almost always happy and upbeat.
1) Context: [Kyo slams the door in her face.] Wai- ugh, he's so mean...
2) O-Okay, very funny Kyo! N-Now unlock the door. Please?
3) Oh, come on! Is it a secret? I can keep secrets! Rika said she climbs this tree to see into this boy's backyard, and I haven't told anyone!

Endus Yumi (End-Us You-Me)

Endus is super popular at Catalyst. He is the resident pretty-boy but isn't as interested in the girls that like him as said girls. He is bored with being popular, as he gets almost anything he wants. Endus is actually insecure deep down inside because before he got his Shift power, he was an outcast. As a result of being as popular as he is, he is incredibly vain and self-centered. He and Kyo become really close friends as the story progresses. His voice should usually sound vain and condescending.

Kyo is unmotivated in life. He has no life plan, which is the reason why he doesn't try in school. He is actually quite bright, but all his classmates see him as unintelligent. He lives alone with his mother, who is an alcoholic because Kyo's father died in Old Fiona. Kyo is sarcastic and pessimistic and comes off as rude to everyone, but just calls himself "honest". Kyo's voice sounds bored and apathetic normally, but slightly amused when he's being sarcastic or rude. He should sound similar to Persona 3's protagonist.

This is just a volunteer role. Please contribute a background voice line for ambient sounds for some scenes. For example, "Hey, did you do the homework last night?" or "Let's go get something to eat before the food court closes." You don't have to use those.
