FINAL Extension (exclusively for the Blue Reflection cast)
Due to a lack of auditions for the Blue Reflection cast, I'm extending auditions one final time. The new date is April 5th at 11:59 PM ET/8:59 PM PT.
A fanfiction story described as “a crossover adventure where unique worlds will come together in an epic story set in an optimistic future. Sonic and friends join forces with incredible magical girls to save the world together.” Join SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog, the magical girls of Koei/Tecmo’s Blue Reflection series and the lead of Hiro’s Akebi’s Sailor Uniform in an optimistic and wonderful adventure! All concepts of the three works are explained in the fanfiction, so there’s not much, in terms of knowledge and concepts of each, to know a TON of ahead of time to enjoy this work. And in this case… to adapt into an audio drama.
The fanfiction story is written by both AlchemyGuardian and OriginalTrikz.
You can read the work here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/44593390
On the character count front, there are 17 characters. 4 males, and 13 females, with a potential for more characters to appear as the fanfiction story is a work in progress. Please note that, due to use of I.P.'s, it is, for the moment, an unpaid project. BUT it may blossom into a paid project, depending on certain factors (i.e. popularity, negotiations, how far this story goes, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS
While there is no actual sexual content, there are some implied moments in the fanfiction. There are also no dark topics (but there are dark moments from Sonic and Blue Reflection [Ray especially] that gets referenced and recalled in moments), so in this regard, anyone 13 or over can audition.
If cast you will be sent an invitation to join my private Discord server. This is where you will find all of the scripts with a potential to hold live direction sessions with the director (that would be me). Also, you can interact with me and make some new friends. We are very welcoming here at LGP!
This will be a long-term project, due to the fanfiction being a work in progress and more chapters will be released as time progresses. So please do not audition if you think you may have to leave for some reason.
Have time for live direction sessions if requested. These are one on one sessions if you are not comfortable with live direction please tell me and we'll talk about it.
Communication is key! If you are busy or have to delay a session please tell me first and not last minute.
This project will also be very fast paced as I would like to produce these chapters at least once a month. If you don’t think that's possible for you please do not audition.
AUDITION GUIDELINES
Audio quality is essential. No reverb, pops, hisses or background noise. Any auditions with these will be automatically rejected. XLR microphones are preferred though we will accept USB’s if they are treated well.
No slating.
Maximum of two takes per line. Please do ABC takes. Do not do AA BB CC takes.
Submit your files in either mp3. or wav. Format.
Please include the following in your audition here
Time Zone
Social Media
Discord ID
Demo Reel (Optional)
Website/Resume (Optional)
Due to a lack of auditions for the Blue Reflection cast, I'm extending auditions one final time. The new date is April 5th at 11:59 PM ET/8:59 PM PT.
We have seen quite a bit of flux of auditions for Amy, which is quite good.
The disappointing news is that there are still a lack of auditions on the Blue Reflection cast as well as Komichi Akebi.
So, once the casting closes, I do want to speak to the Amy auditionees if they are open to playing a Blue Reflection character...
Well… Seeing as there was not many auditions for the Blue Reflection cast as well as Komichi, I have made the decision to extend auditions until 11:59 PM ET/8:59 PM PT next Wednesday night (the 30th of March).
So, you’ve got some time to get those in!
Hey, all.
While I’ve gotten some sweet auditions for the Sonic cast, I am rather concerned that there is none for the Blue Reflection cast as well as Komichi.
So, there is a chance that the casting call could be extended, exclusively for them.
Stay tuned.
Role Type: Major Protagonist
Voice Type: Medium to Medium-low. I’m expecting something a touch original. I’m OK with imitations from the RCS (Roger Craig Smith) era of games only (from Sonic Free Riders to Sonic Frontiers).
The Blue Blur. The Fastest Thing Alive. The Most Famous Hedgehog in the World. The Hedgehog too unstoppable for even the most adamant of obstacles and egg-shaped authoritarians. The Bugs to Mario’s Mickey once blasting past the competition as the physics-defying face of the ‘90s.
The bona fide, original mascot with attitude.
Sonic’s the name, Speed’s his game!
A blue anthropomorphic hedgehog with attitude and plenty of personality who lives up to his name by being able to run at superhuman speeds. Not much is known about Sonic’s past aside from that he was born on Christmas Island. One day on South Island, he noticed all of his animal buddies began disappearing and the culprit was none other than Dr. Eggman. After foiling the Doc’s plans, Sonic would then make it his business to do in whatever evil plan the Doc cooked up establishing their long rivalry. Over time, Sonic has faced bigger and larger threats alike while making a whole slew of allies along the way.
Sonic is described as like the wind; unpredictable, and always moving from place to place and never settling down for long. Laid-back, carefree and armed with a wit as sharp as his quills and an ego to match.
"What you see is what you get: just a guy that loves adventure. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!"
(confused about his new surroundings) “New world?! I’m from…uhh…Christmas Island! Listen, I’m here from a random portal that sucked me and my friends here while chasing this maniac named Dr. Eggman that also went into a portal and now I have no clue what’s going on or who you are!”
(agreeing with Amy about open fields) “Yeah, I’ll try not to have TOO much fun finding a way to restore you.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium-High to High. I’m OK with Colleen’s (O’Shaughnessey) imitation, but I’m seeking something a touch original. Auditionees of any gender are encouraged to audition.
Sonic's young sidekick: a small fox who can use his unique twin tails to fly. Despite his young age, he's a reliable and dependable ally to Sonic.
Ever since their first meeting, Tails has tried his hardest to be the best person he can for Sonic's sake, often times by mimicking him. Humble, docile, and good-natured with mechanical prowess that can potentially rival Eggman's, but he never thought it was much of a big deal.
"I've changed a lot since I started hanging out with Sonic, but I can't depend on him forever. I know I can do this by myself!"
(excited) “What I wouldn’t give to study this ancient technology properly. Hmm. It doesn’t look like this was a projectile weapon.”
(answering status) “Nuts. I keep getting new blips surrounding Eggman’s position. New bots according to my X-Ray module, and the problem is, I’m not sure where they’re all coming from! The last time we saw Eggman, he only had his Eggmobile! He could not be having all these robots coming right out of there or any particularly noteworthy site of production, we took all of those sites out when we were taking back the planet! What the heck does he have up his sleeve this time…?”
Role: Main Supporting
Voice Type: Medium-low to Low. I’m OK with an imitation akin to Dave B. Mitchell or even Idris Elba, but I’m seeking something original, too.
A red echidna from Angel Island, and guardian of the Master Emerald. He was first introduced as an antagonist in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, having been told by Eggman that Sonic and Tails intended to steal the Master Emerald. Near the end of the game, Eggman betrays Knuckles and steals the Master Emerald himself, which forced Knuckles to accept Sonic and Tails' help in getting it back. Afterward, Knuckles would then be one of the duo's chief allies in fighting Eggman, but his guardian duties keep him out of the action most of the time. Not much of his past was known, but that changed with Sonic Adventure which fleshed out his background quite a bit. Turns out, Knuckles is the last of the echidnas after they were wiped out for attempting to use the Emeralds and desecrating the shrine (and injuring numerous Chao) which angered the at-the-time guardian Chaos. Afterward, the piece of the shrine became Angel Island.
If Sonic is like the wind, then Knuckles is like the mountains; stern and unmovable. So naturally, they tend to butt heads, but do get along occasionally. Because of spending most of his life on a secluded island, he naturally prefers to be by himself and has quite the wild temper. However, despite these traits, he's a nice guy, and more than willing to abandon his post to help out his friends.
"I'll probably be on this floating island forever, guarding the Master Emerald again. I may not know the whole story behind this, but perhaps it's better that way. I'm at peace once more."
“It’s not fair. How come you get to jump in and out of Cyber Space and I’m stuck halfway?”
(laughs) “A true warrior does not rest on hillsides, but continues pushing forward to defeat his enemy.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium-High to High. Hmm… I’m OK with imitations from any VA’s who played Amy in the past, but if you come with anything original, I’ll take that into consideration.
An energetic pink hedgehog. An early version of her appeared in the 1992-1994 manga series; she then went on to be rescued by Sonic in Sonic CD. Initially she was a fan of Sonic's who she desperately wanted to meet, but their meeting was soon cut short with the arrival of Dr. Eggman and his new creation, Metal Sonic. Metal kidnapped Amy and Sonic had to save her and stop Eggman's plan of using Little Planet to mess with the timeline. After Eggman's defeat, Amy fell completely in love with Sonic and has made numerous attempts to start a relationship with him (even marry him, becoming his wife), often getting mixed up in his adventures as a result, much to his chagrin.
Amy has a very sweet and understanding personality. She always tries her best to understand and see the best in people and help them in any way she can and is very protective of her friends. Underneath her sweetness lies quite the temper however, something that even Sonic isn't immune to being on the receiving end of.
"I know that people fight over the most trivial things. Some people may be selfish, like the professor said... but they're basically good, if they try their best and never give up on their wishes. They always have a reason to be happy—that's why you should help them out."
“It’s beautiful here, but there’s a loneliness here. The land feels sad and empty.”
“I SINCERELY hope that Infinite is not back, or this is going to be a heck of a chase with that Phantom Ruby psycho running around!”
Role Type: Major Protagonist
Voice Type: Medium-High to High.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection: Second Light Walkthrough Part 1 (PS4) Prologue (2:03 - 3:33) and Blue Reflection: Second Light/Tie - Drama CD 1 | English Subs (speaks through most of it)
The main heroine of Second Light. While walking to school for supplementary classes during summer vacation, she drops her phone and backtracks to retrieve it. Upon doing so, she sees a message from an unknown sender that says, "Be reborn..." Upon arriving at school, she finds it mostly empty and- upon trying to leave- discovers herself having been sent to Oasis.
Bright and sunny, Ao's enthusiasm makes her a born leader, regardless of her lack of experience or the occasional dumb mistake. Ao is a tomboy and has a flirty personality, which can easily overwhelm the other girls at times.
(remembering a first memory) “I remember going to summer classes… Everything was normal until I entered the classroom.”
“First, anime is a medium that anyone of any age can enjoy, it was not a mistake, and second, I don’t think a girl that draws fanart of her favorite anime and makes manga of her own has any moral authority over a fellow dork. Also, Kokoro ate a ton at the food courts again.”
“But if you’re still worried, I’ll stand by you. And that way you’ll be there when I need you.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: High. I’m also OK with imitations of Julia Gu from Ray.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection: Second Light Walkthrough Part 1 (PS4) Prologue (2:38, 9:00 & 53:13) and Blue Reflection: Second Light/Tie - Drama CD 1 | English Subs (2:20)Shy and sweet, Kokoro would rather say nothing and endure another person's unkindness than to deal with it head on.
Generally, she possesses steadfast conviction in her actions. However, those close to Kokoro know that she can be swayed with the offer of a tasty treat.
(comforting) “Ohh, there, there. She can be scary, can’t she? But today we’re going to have to just gather food and head home, okay?”
“Ao ended up going off course when she saw the anime and manga store, there was so much manga she wanted to get that I tried to stop her, but…” (pauses) “She ended up having her way anyway.”
(from a past memory) “I like this place. There’s something about it that makes me feel safe and secure.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium.

One of the three girls already living in Oasis when Ao arrives. Stern, mature, and reliable, she constantly aims to keep the rest of the girls in line and take their situation seriously. With her experience in rhythm gymnastics, she wields a large hoop in battle.
Rena is a quick study and can grow impatient when those around her need a little more time to catch up. She upsets easily, and a disagreement can cause her to become almost shrill with frustration.
Under her testy exterior, Rena is actually an insecure and tender girl who will move Heaven and Earth to rescue those who manage to win her affections.
(slightly upset) “Everything’s been a mess since you showed up, Hoshizaki.”
(stern) “I really should’ve stopped you from going on a grocery trip, did that not strike out to you that we needed groceries and not more children’s books!?”
“They’re yours, Yuki. You can look at them all you want.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium to Medium-High.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection: Second Light Walkthrough Part 6 (PS4) Chapter 5 (1:06:25 and 1:06:57) and https://twitter.com/0Bl3B7PnQSygNWG/status/1629042227673702400Shiho is a kind and gentle girl, who takes good care of her friends.
She is a fearsome fighter, but her time working at her Father's cafe has provided her with many domestic skills that are equally important to the group.
(hopeful) “Kirara… Hold on just a little longer. I’ll save you, I promise.”
(excited) “I advocate for having fun! It’s pointless to all be together if we’re just going to work all day and not enjoy ourselves!”
“We may not always be there for each other physically, but our hearts will guide us back to each other again.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium. Possibly Medium-High.

Hinako Shirai is the main protagonist of the first game and a former, semi-famous ballet dancer. She sustained a knee injury and still suffers from its aftereffects, essentially being forced to quit. With losing her livelihood as a dancer, Hinako suffered from depression and couldn't attend school for several months.
Upon being able to attend the Hoshinomiya Girls High School, she meets Sanae Nishida and ends up transported into the Common, and turning into a Reflector. Yuzu and Lime Shijou serve as her guides into the finer aspects of being a Reflector and its duties in the Common.
She was initially hesitant to keep doing her Reflector duties, but chose to complete it when Lime told her there would be a reward. She will be granted one wish upon defeating the Sephira.
She is then brought to Oasis after Shiho recalls her memories of the two of them hanging out at her family's cafe. Upon regaining her memories and reuniting with Yuzu, the party is able to learn more about the origins of Oasis and the fate of the outside world.
Hinako is something of a 'straight woman'; the more excitable personalities at Hoshinomiya Girls High School frequently clash or bounce off of her, and she can only respond to their antics with a sense of astoundment or incredulousness.
(introducing herself) “Hello, my name is Hinako Shirai. Nice to meet you all.”
(with fondness) “Me and Yuri went to the amusement park together. It was the first time she’s ever been to one and in her free time outside of doing…whatever it is for that group she has a part-time shift working at.”
(reminiscing about someone’s feelings) “Come to think of it, I felt the same way when I entered that competition… I got to dance on my dream stage alongside some incredible people. Is that the sort of admiration she feels from me?”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium-High to High. I’m also OK with imitations of Kayli Mills from Ray.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection Ray | Official Teaser PV and https://twitter.com/0bl3b7pnqsygnwg/status/1630192665156530176
A cheerful girl who likes to help others and doesn’t hesitate to become their friend. While she portrays a cheerful front, she prefers to hide her own issues from her friends. She becomes a Reflector to help those whose Fragments have become stabilized and to locate her missing sister, who she cares for a lot.
Hiori deeply cares about all who are her friend, including Mio as aforementioned, as well as her friends, from Ruka Hanari to Ao Hoshizaki. She is wiling to do whatever she can to help those around her, although she can forget to care for herself too. Hiori also takes things at face value as well, and has more often than not fallen victim to jokes and teases that she could not discern.
(super-excited) “That’s amazing! Are you good at this stuff?”
(super-happy) “Me and Sis went out together to this amusement park once, and they had these rides with cute bears as the carts! It was so cute!”
“I’m not exactly sure what I can do yet, but if someone needs my help, I don’t want to ignore them. Because that’s how my sister was.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium. I’m also OK with imitations of Brianna Knickerbocker from Ray.
Voice Sample: Blue Reflection Ray | Official Teaser PV
A shy girl who has trouble communicating with other people. She can recognize those in need, but lacks the confidence to support them with her own initiative. Due to this, she holds deep regrets over her past failure to help someone when they needed it. She becomes a Reflector to never feel that kind of regret again.
(sad) “I messed up again…”
(smiling) “I had Hiori with me when we were on cleaning duty at the dorms. That water fight we had in the courtyard earlier today? We had a mini-water fight ourselves when we were on cleaning duty. It was one of the happiest days of my life."
(a bit sad) “But we can’t all stay together forever. Someday, this hangout will end… and we’ll all have to go back home.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium. I’m also OK with imitations of Erica Mendez from Ray.
An older girl who seems like a delinquent, but does means well. She is a more experienced Reflector recruited by the AASA to investigate the strange occurrences going on with Fragments. She serves as Hiori and Ruka’s mentor to the world of Reflectors.
Often with a cheerful attitude, Momo is always willing to fight for her friends and help them. She doesn't show a particular resentment towards others, not even her enemies. She constantly struggles with self-doubts and regrets due to her past, getting into a bad temper when she can't understand something.
“Look, I grasp the concept that something’s off with the Fragments. The issue on the table is finding the cause—“ (sighs in partial disgust) “Much easier said than done!”
“So, everyone, share your favorite memories of all time, I want to hear some interesting stories from you ladies!”
(sighs) “Man… I just basically lost money over this.” OR (sighs) “Man… I’ll go broke at this rate.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium. I’m also OK with imitations of Maureen Price from Ray.
Voice Sample: Blue Reflection: Second Light Walkthrough Part 7 (PS4) Chapter 6 (2:58:44)
Hiori’s beloved older sister who wishes for nothing more than Hiori’s happiness and well-being. She’s recently disappeared without a trace, but is soon revealed to be at the heart of the Fragment disturbances occurring throughout the city.
Like her little sister, Mio is also a kind and loving person. Her priorities are the happiness and well-being of those around her. However, like Hiori, Mio can and has prioritized others above herself, often to possibly unsustainable levels. Mio is very smart and wise, and has expertise in a wide variety of fields, including cooking and astronomy. Whilst Hiori is cheerful and energetic, Mio is reserved and calm, and prefers peacefulness over high activity. And just like Hiori, Mio also struggles with sharing how she really feels, and she has let her guilt and shame from a failed action impact her. This is very evident in her actions after the Reflector skirmishes and in Oasis, where she often thinks of her overly excessive care of Hiori as her way of relieving her guilt from doing harm to her in the skirmish. That being said, she still cherishes and loves Hiori nonetheless, and is equally close to her as Hiori is. Previously, Hiori was Mio's only concern, until with enough time and experience, Mio grew not to worry as much about Hiori as before, but she still maintains a strong and caring relationship with Hiori to this day.
“We understand the sadness of this world far greater than others… Do we not?”
(agreeing with Hiori about a memory) “So cute.” (then giggles) “So cute that it looks like Hiori forgot about those rides where the carts weren’t looking like bears.”
“You always tried much too hard, Hiori.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium-high. I’m also OK with imitations of Megan Shipman.
Voice Sample: Akebi's Sailor Uniform Funny Moments (entire clip)
A graduate of Futaba Elementary School who has recently been accepted to the elite all-girls Roubai Academy, the same school her mother Yuwa attended when she was her age. She stands out from the other girls at Roubai for wearing a sailor uniform, which her mother made while under the wrong assumption that it was still Roubai's official uniform.
She has a strong yearning for the sailor suit due to a certain reason. She has a bright and straightforward personality, and is really looking forward to school life. She is very good at sports.
“Someone’s already here?! What if she’s really scary?!” (then as if mocking someone looking at her) “Wow, what a weird outfit!” (then back to herself) “I-It’s not weird!”
(recounting a memory in joy) “Me and my girlfriend Erika went fishing together! We went fishing at a big lake near my house too! And we caught a large male charr too! And I even invited her over to my house for the first time…”
“Confidence, right? With a smile.” (pauses) “I’m good.”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: High. I’m also OK with imitations of Lizzie Freeman from Ray.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection Walkthrough Part 1 ✧ (PS4, VITA) ✧ English ✧ No Commentary ✧ (26:06) and BLUE REFLECTION Drama CD English Sub Part1 & Part 2
One of the Shijou sisters, who mostly goes by the nickname of Yuzu. She and Lime suddenly appear next to Hinako on her first schoolday, revealing themselves to be Reflectors, too.
Yuzu is the livelier of the two and is often full of energy, viewing the world in a positive light.
Now she serves as a Guardian of the Common, and is willing to assist the Reflectors in any way she can.
“I’m Yuzu! Yuzuki Shijou! But just call me Yuzu. I think I might be less stern and stoic about the coming topic than Lime will be.”
“We’ve all gotta join some sort of committee anyway, right? So she should join one that lets her interact with a ton of people so she can get used to our school faster!”
“Hina! Fight with us!”
Role Type: Major Supporting
Voice Type: Medium to Medium-High. I’m also OK with imitations of Michelle Marie from Ray.
Voice Samples: Blue Reflection Walkthrough Part 1 ✧ (PS4, VITA) ✧ English ✧ No Commentary ✧ (26:26) and BLUE REFLECTION Drama CD English Sub Part1 & Part 2
One of the Shijou sisters. She and Yuzu suddenly appeared next to Hinako on her first schoolday, revealing themselves to be Reflectors, too.
Lime is more subdued than Yuzu and often borders on being stoic. Her mind is focused on their mission of obtaining Fragments to protect the world, leaving her to butt heads with Yuzu or Hinako, at times.
Now she serves as a Guardian of the Common, and is willing to assist the Reflectors in any way she can.
“Please treat this seriously, Yuzu.” (clears throat) “And I am Raimu Shijou-or Lime, if that’s easier for you.”
“It seems reasonable. That’s basically what they’re doing in the other class, too. Yuzuki and I will help her out.”
“Those demons are just the byproducts of the Sephira’s impact on the Common. Sephirot are on another level.”
Role Type: Major Antagonist
Voice Type: Medium-low to Low. If you’re going for imitations, then they gotta be either those of Deem Bristow OR Mike Pollock.
The Insufferable Genius. The Robot Master. The man who proves that sometimes, Humans Are the Real Monsters. The doctor who has tried Hijacking Cthulhu many times and has eventually succeeded.
The Emperor Scientist. The Fat Bastard Big Bad.
THE Recurring Boss.
He is the Eggman! (That's who he is!)
Big Bad of the series, eternal Arch-Enemy of Sonic the Hedgehog, patron saint of stuffing woodland creatures into robot soldiers, self-professed gentleman genius, neck-and-neck with Dr. Wily as gaming's most premiere Mad Scientist, and amusement park enthusiast.
Dr. Ivo Robotnik, better known to the world as Dr. Eggman, is a portly, mustachioed roboticist whose main desires are to impose his own view of a glorious utopia upon everyone and everything using his technology… which he would be able to do if he could just destroy the little blue rodent that keeps spin-dashing a hole into his plans.
While Dr. Eggman doesn't have a significant background, it's known that he looked up to his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, and aspired to be a great scientist like him. Eventually, he decided his genius was enough to put him at the top of the food chain, and he's been trying to Take Over the World to establish an Eggman Empire ever since.
On the surface, the good doctor is very temperamental and childishly eccentric despite his stated IQ of 300 — he's quick to throw a fit of anger whenever things don't go his way, many of his robots have goofy appearances, and his ideal paradise appears to fall somewhere between a casino and a carnival. Don't be fooled, though, he's every bit as clever as he claims to be, able to create or exploit almost anything to further his goals, possesses quite a bit of cunning and planning to carry them out, and frequently sends Sonic running through zone after zone littered with his traps and mean machines.
Eggman's master plans of global (and potentially universal) conquest almost never change, and with his intellect, determination, and legions of robots, he's always willing to pull out all of the stops to accomplish his goals and destroy Sonic and his friends, matching the hedgehog's unstoppable physical prowess with his immovable evil genius, and surpassing him in ego a million times over.
"Citizens of Earth, lend me your ears and listen to me very carefully! My name is Dr. Eggman, the world's greatest scientist, and soon to be the world's greatest ruler! Now witness the beginning of the greatest empire of all time! Hahahaha!"
(Egg Memo 5) “I am officially jealous. This entire expanse was constructed by the ancient race who had previously settled on these islands! The level of technology they employed is completely alien to me, so I can’t salvage it… yet.”
(pathetically) “Ah well. I suppose that’s just how life is, huh? Some dreams are never meant to be. The promise of tomorrow is just not possible for some people, and so I suppose Eggmanland is not meant to be…” (pauses then snickers and yells) “...not meant to be in this world!”
