Greetings! My name is Ethan Lepley, also known as TheTVBunny. I am currently working on a comic dub project featuring the official Sonic comic series published by IDW Publishing. For those new to the world of Sonic IDW, it is a comic book series based on the popular video game franchise by Sega. The series is an American publication and is the successor to Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog title. It was first launched on April 4, 2018, and has been in distribution ever since.

Hey there, voice actors! I wanted to come in here and say that there are two days left on this casting call. There will be more coming in the future on other platforms, so if you are still interested in auditioning for this project and don't make it this time around, the opportunities will come up in other places.
We have a group of people that will be involved in the casting of the characters and team positions, hence the "we" in everything on the casting call, so we will be getting this done pretty fast on the deadline. We will be critical of acting, quality, and voice. The ones who fit all three in the best ways will be selected.

Amy Rose is a hedgehog in the Sonic series who wields the Piko Piko Hammer to win Sonic's heart in their adventures. Despite her cheerful and energetic demeanor, she has a scary temper and a strong infatuation with Sonic. However, her pure heart and unwavering determination enable her to overcome any obstacle.
Voice Description
We're looking for a high-pitched voice with a slightly youthful quality for this character. The voice should sound bubbly and convey a cheerful, energetic tone as if the character is always eager and enthusiastic. However, we also want the voice to have a hint of a temper, which should come through in moments of intensity or passion. Please think of the character as someone full of energy and enthusiasm but can become heated and fiery when pushed to their limits. Overall, the voice should have a bright and lively quality, with a playful edge that belies a more profound strength and intensity.

About this Character
Knuckles is an echidna who guards the Master Emerald on Angel Island. He has super strength and can climb walls with his spiked gloves and glide with his dreadlocks. As Sonic's friend and rival, Knuckles is solitary and serious, prioritizing his duty to protect the Master Emerald. Though usually indifferent, he will help his friends when needed, even leaving home.
Voice Description
We are looking for a deep and slightly rough-sounding voice for this character. The character is hot-tempered, serious, and should have a commanding presence. A voice actor with a POC background is preferred. The character's tone should be firm and authoritative yet have a hint of vulnerability underneath the tough exterior.

About this Character
Tangle the Lemur is an anthropomorphic ring-tailed lemur from Spiral Hill Village and a former member of the Restoration. She's an excitable and happy-go-lucky character who loves adventure and helping those in need. Tangle can be reckless and tends to act first but is skilled and resourceful on missions. She gets stressed in dark, confined spaces.
Voice Description
We're looking for a high-pitched, high-energy voice with a slight nasally quality for this character. Adding the occasional voice crack is optional. Also, incorporate a slight rasp to give the voice a unique edge.

About this Character
Blaze the Cat is an anthropomorphic cat from the Sol Dimension, where she is both the imperial princess and the appointed guardian of the Sol Emeralds. She has the power of pyrokinesis and is normally calm and elegant, but tends to conceal her true feelings. Blaze has discovered the true meaning of friendship and travels freely between her dimension and Sonic's to visit her friends.
Voice Description
For this character, we're looking for an authoritative, mid-pitched voice that could optionally include a British accent. The delivery should be calm and confident, with a regal tone that commands respect and exudes royalty.

Vector the Crocodile in Sonic the Hedgehog series is the director of the Chaotix Detective Agency. Despite his size and rough appearance, he has a kind heart and helps those in need without expecting payment. He loves music and always wears headphones. He's a skilled detective and natural leader who won't give up until a case is solved.
Voice Description
For this character, we need a deep, gravelly voice with a Southern accent. The character should sound tough and have a unique quality to their voice. We would prefer a voice actor who identifies as a person of color for this role.

Charmy Bee is a young anthropomorphic bee and a member of Team Chaotix, a detective agency he helped co-found. Despite his playful personality and being the agency's cute mascot, he has a sharp stinger and excellent flying skills. Though he can annoy his coworkers, his intuition is a valuable asset to the team.
Voice Description
For this character, we're looking for a female/feminine voice actor with a raspy, high-pitched voice that can convey a hyper and childlike energy. Think of a young, excitable character who might speak quickly and loudly, with a voice that is both playful and a bit rough around the edges.

Doctor Eggman, the main villain in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, is a self-proclaimed genius scientist with an IQ of 300 who constantly plots to establish his Eggman Empire. Despite Sonic and his friends always thwarting his plans, Eggman is never discouraged and continues to hatch new schemes, ranging from enslaving animals to threatening entire nations. Despite his many defeats, Eggman always manages to escape and remains a dangerous threat due to his ambitions and willingness to use dangerous means to achieve his goals.
Voice Description
For this character, we need a deep, gravelly voice that sounds old and maniacal, with an aggressive and authoritative tone. Think of someone who has been in power for a long time and has become corrupted by it. This voice should sound intimidating and powerful, capable of striking fear into the hearts of those who hear it. The character should have a commanding presence, with a voice that demands attention and respect.

About this Character
Shadow the Hedgehog is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, created as the "Ultimate Life Form" by using the DNA of Black Doom and serves as Sonic's arch-rival and occasional ally. He is sharp-witted, serious, and has a strong sense of purpose, always willing to accomplish his goals by any means. He can match Sonic in speed and skill and can use Chaos Control with a Chaos Emerald to warp time and space.
Voice Description
For this voice role, we're looking for a mid-deep voice with a slight gravel that is smooth and serious. Think of a voice that conveys confidence and authority without being too intimidating. The ideal voice actor will be able to bring depth to the character while also delivering lines with clarity and precision.

Rouge the Bat is an anthropomorphic bat and a jewel thief who works as a part-time spy for the government. She is a world-famous treasure hunter with a weakness for jewels, possessing combat and infiltration skills along with flight. She is smart, sassy, seductive, and always out for herself, but loyal to her closest friends and has helped Sonic and his allies save the world.
Voice Description
For this character, we're looking for a seductive, mid-low, sassy voice with an optional slight Southern accent. However, we want the voice actor to bring their unique take to the character and provide a wide emotional range. The character should be able to convey a range of emotions, from flirty and playful to serious and commanding.

About this Character
Whisper is a heroic and mysterious anthropomorphic wolf in the Sonic comic series by IDW. Formerly a member of the Diamond Cutters, she now supports the Restoration and is aided by her personal team of Wisps. Whisper is soft-spoken and reserved due to the trauma of losing her friends at the hands of Dr. Eggman and Mimic. She avoids making new connections and often appears bashful in social situations.
Voice Description
For this character, we are looking for a voice actor who can perform a soft-spoken, high pitched, British or Australian accent that still preserves emotion. It should not be a full whisper, but rather a gentle and delicate voice. Please be sure to emphasize the emotional range while maintaining a consistently gentle tone.

About this Character
Gemerl is a robot created by Dr. Eggman from Emerl's data in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He initially served Eggman but later turned hostile and was reprogrammed to resemble Emerl. Initially emotionless, he gained free will after receiving damage and became kind-hearted after being rebuilt by Tails.
Voice Description
For this character, we're looking for a voice actor who can deliver a robotic performance with a mid-pitched, slightly soft voice. The tone should be somewhat monotone, but not to the point of sounding completely flat. No special effects or processing should be added to the voice. The delivery should sound natural and smooth while still conveying the character's robotic nature.

About this Character
Lanolin the Sheep is a helpful and hardworking member of the Restoration in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics. She founded the second generation of Diamond Cutters and prefers to be prepared before a fight. Lanolin startles easily but is willing to put herself in danger when needed. She recognizes when others are hurting and is willing to help, but admits to having a bossy issue.
Voice Description
We're seeking a Scottish voice actor with a mid-pitched accent who can deliver lines confidently, with authority and assertiveness. The accent should sound natural, and the tone should be clear and easy to understand, with good enunciation and pacing. The actor should convey a range of emotions, from serious and professional to lighthearted and friendly, as needed. The performance should be engaging and authentic, drawing in the listener.

Orbot is a secondary antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, created by Dr. Eggman. As one of Eggman's aide robots, he assists in Eggman's schemes for world domination with his partner, Cubot. Though serious and intelligent, Orbot's spiteful sarcasm sometimes provokes the anger of his creator, despite his loyalty to Eggman.
Voice Description
We're looking for a mid-pitched British accent that conveys sophistication and sarcasm with a smooth tone for this character. The voice should sound confident and polished, with a hint of dry humor. Think of it as a refined and charming voice that can easily deliver a sarcastic line. The pacing should be deliberate, with a sense of control and precision in every word.

Cubot is a dim-witted and lazy robot built by Dr. Eggman. He assists Eggman in his schemes for world domination, often alongside his partner Orbot. Cubot's faulty voice chip causes him to switch between different accents and personalities randomly.
Voice Description
For a mid-low-range voice actor, we need a dumb-sounding voice that is slightly nasally. A wide range of accents would be a plus but not necessary. The character should sound slow-witted and dim-witted, but still understandable. The performance should be engaging and entertaining, drawing in the audience with its humorous portrayal of the character's personality.

Vanilla the Rabbit is an anthropomorphic rabbit in the Sonic the Hedgehog series and the mother of Cream the Rabbit. She is known for her excellent homemaking skills and teaches her daughter to be polite and disciplined. Vanilla lives with Cream, Cheese, Chocola, and Gemerl in a small cottage near Night Carnival.
Voice Description
For this role, we need a voice actor with a mid-low range that can deliver a motherly tone to their performance. The character is gentle and nurturing, so the delivery should have a soft and warm quality. The actor should be able to convey a sense of caring and kindness while also portraying the character's quiet strength and discipline. Overall, the performance should be reassuring and comforting, inviting the listener to feel safe and cared for.

About the Roles
We seek voice actors to play various characters in the upcoming Sonic IDW comics. These characters will have different levels of importance, ranging from significant roles to small speaking parts. You may be cast to play a character in a crowd or a guard/civilian speaking to Sonic directly.
We're open to actors of all experience levels and backgrounds and welcome diversity in our casting. The ability to take direction and bring your unique spin to a character is critical.
Auditions will require you to submit samples of your work. We may request additional recordings or a live audition to assess your skills further. Payment will be based on the length and importance of the role, and rates can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

About the Role
We are seeking talented music composers to create custom tracks for our series. While there are a lot of great royalty-free tracks and Sonic OSTs out there, we want our series to have a unique and original sound that reflects our creative vision. As a music composer for the series, you can showcase your skills and create music that enhances the storytelling and overall experience for our audience.
Please note that you do not have to mix and master the tracks you compose. We will have people who handle the final mixing and mastering process to ensure the highest audio quality. We ask that you provide us with the individual audio files for each instrument and sound effect used in your composition so that we can adequately integrate your music into the final production.

To be considered a music composer for our series, please provide examples of your work, such as individual tracks or previous OSTs you have created. While knowing music theory is preferred, it is not a requirement, as creating great music is more important. About the Role
As a motion graphics artist for the dub, your main task is to create a motion comic style for the animation. This includes animating characters and backgrounds, designing logo animation, and compositing the voice lines with the animation.
