Song of Achilles Audio Drama
Project Overview
What is this Audio Drama?
Well basically we are taking a scene out of the Song of Achilles and creating an audio drama of it! Why is it a small part of chapter 10? Well I wanted to see if we can make this happen and after this part we’ll work our way backwards and cover the whole book!! But this part is the end of chapter 10.

With Achilles and Patroclus aging during the book we might have to cast different people for each age but I haven’t decided yet and I’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it!
Basic Requirements:
You should be at least 14 or older
You gotta have Discord, since that is how we will be communicating
You must have at least decent communication skills and be willing to work with others
For anyone interested I have the discord link down below and if you are casted you will be put under the role of the character you got and I will dm you any information and if you have any questions!

Achilles is a loyal and fearless 16 year old. He is not afraid to fight since being taught from a young age how to fight. But he is also defensive of those he finds close. He is willing to lay down his life for those he cares about. One of his most famous choices in the Iliad was the offer of a long life and obscurity, or short life and fame. He chose fame.
I am looking for someone with a young and soft but also a hardened voice. That even though they are a child they are focused to grow up. Particularly a male sounding voice, but as long as you can create the warmth but demand in his voice that is what I’m looking for!
He is a lead character.

Patroclus *The way you say it can depend but think of a scene in the book*
Patroclus is a peacemaker. He is a 16 year old who doesn’t like to disappoint and can be quite introverted. He is kind hearted, modest, honest and passionate and Chiron would train him in the ways of a healer.
I’m looking for someone who sounds like a 16 year old and who can portray a wide variety of emotions in there voice while also sounding thoughtful and soft.

Chiron is the mentor to Achilles and Patroclus. Taking them “under his hooves” so to speak and training them. He dislikes the idea of them going to war even though it is inevitable. He does not like his peace on his mountain being disturbed but when it comes to Achilles and Patroclus he treats them as if they were his sons. (Patroclus even called himself that at one point)
I’m looking for a gruff male adult voice who is young but not that young and not that old either. He is kind and also parental like and sometimes he will hint at things in the future.

I heard the shouts *In a disapproval tone but not towards the boys towards the situation*
Barbarians *It is whispered and he is stiff. Patroclus and Achilles asked him about what happened to the other centaurs.*
Patroclus, "You do not give things up so easily now as you once did *He voice is kind and quiet said with a small smile*
The messenger is sent by Achilles father to bring back Achilles from the mountain. He is nervous, tired and almost talks down to Achilles but he gains his bearings and is again respectful towards him.
I’m look for someone to show in there voice tiredness but bounce back between respectfulness and yelling.

In this role you would basically make thumbnails that we will show on the screen instead of a black screen. Scenery backgrounds almost. We are excepting anyone! For your “audition” so to speak it is the just draw a scenic background.
