Some may remember my humble beginnings: a young, struggling artist joining the rat race for a piece of the dream everyone shares and, like many, falling to the rear of the pack as life struggles take over. I clearly remember the birth of Cesnock so many years ago as if it was yesterday. The story became an experiment, a passion, and a lengthy study of what I wanted to do with it. That study is reaching its conclusion.
I've repurposed all the artist resources I've commissioned over the years into one final video, a final transition from an old dream to a new brand. To celebrate this new brand, I'm holding a contest.
I've composed a new song and created a music video for it. I'm looking to challenge singer-songwriting talent to take it one step further.
The Rules: This song should have a specific theme based on the ancient native American tradition of a vision quest. The storytelling should be about spiritual bonding, an enlightening relationship between humans and animals, and seeking guidance for tough life choices.
You get bonus points if you use the word "Cesnock" (Pronounced ~Sess-nock~) somewhere in the song.
Singers must combine their vocals with the provided music track for a valid submission. Upon request, I will release some basic song stems for your final mix.
Participants can post their contest submission to any social media platform, but to be eligible, they must link the completed contest entry to this contest page or the related project Cesnock YouTube page.
Participants can create partnerships or teams if they're into sharing the wealth.
This contest seeks new talent. The winner must agree to allow Project Cesnock to use the chosen lyrics and vocals in any media production on any platform.
The Prize: A lump sum payment of $ 300.00 USD via the PayPal app.
