SHACKLED (Recast: 2 Characters & 1 New Character)
Project Overview
Greetings all, and glad to have you here! This is a new casting call for the upcoming Visual Novel-like Youtube series "Shackled"!
This is currently an UNPAID project as well as a quite lengthy one. This is also currently a "slow-burn" sort of project.
Shackled takes place within a world filled with interesting characters of many different interests, goals, affiliations, and personalities. As such, really bring the notion of "being a character" when auditioning. Each character will have "Vocal Guides", however these are not specifically there to restrict creativity and more as a direction to go if you're unsure.
The deadline for this call will be December 6th!
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be 18 or older to audition.
-If cast, Discord is the base method of communication, though if you have another preferred method, do let us know when submitting.
-XLR Microphones preferred, but not required. USB Microphones work well too!
-Minimize as much background noise as possible.
-When recording, record a MINIMUM of 2 takes per line or a MAXIMUM of 3. Format being in AABBCC or AAABBBCCC.
-If you're auditioning for multiple characters, keep the files separate between characters.
-Which leads into exporting these files as .mp3 for the sake of data.

(Void Re-vair-in)
A member of the Inginous Branch and local slacker. You’ll more than likely catch him patrolling at popular hangout spots or taking a nap where there’s a good breeze. While this is what everyone sees, Fio treasures his talents as he is deceptively intelligent and aware of his surroundings, almost as if his nonchalant attitude is simply a facade. He wields a “Jensa.” A type of weapon that can swap back and forth from a sword to a protective fan.

Age Range - mid to late 20’s
Void is a fun-loving guy who doesn’t shy away from coming off as unaware or even dumb at times. Despite this huge responsibility he bears, being a Branch Member and all, he appears as if he doesn’t take it seriously in the slightest. He’s very friendly and inviting in a very “Dude-bro” kind of way, but won’t hesitate to stake his authority when needed.

(Excited) “Dude, I just had the most gnarly nap in a long while! It was almost like the Gods themselves said that I deserved it! Well actually, I say that quite often huh? Hehe!”
(Threatening) “Either way, it seems like you’re playing a dangerous game. As a High Guard soldier, you should know that raising a hand to a Branch Member is a grave offense. This would reflect on you all pretty badly if word of this got out.”

One of the Inginous Branch Members working alongside Fio and master of the “Ryen-Tei” (Re-in-tay) martial art. A Chian fighter who doesn’t like to talk much about her past. She combines her special fighting style with her access to Frost Mauna, the ability to conjure and lightly manipulate ice and frost, though hers is on the weaker side. Despite how all of this might sound, Wave is actually a very kind and upbeat individual. Always finding a nice training session to be the best thing when spirits are low, and always excited to fight new and worthy opponents!

Age Range - mid 20’s
HIGH ENERGY! HIGH INTENSITY! Wave is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve and is very enthusiastic about training. She’s not a motor mouth or anything like that, but she should be able to emanate a very passionate aura through her words.

The trusted right-hand to the Qitaniss (Kee-tahn-nis) King, Amori Parson stands as Avin Qitaniss’ sole retainer. While he serves a man like Avin, it is undeniable that Amori is a skilled and devoted retainer as most could imagine reaching expectations as lofty as Avin’s would seem almost impossible. However, sharing a very similar mindset to Avin and showing incredible skills with several types of weaponry (preferably lances), Amori effortlessly gained his position and swears fealty to Avin.

Age Range - Late 20's
Amori exudes similar energy to the arrogant king that he serves. To him, the only living being that stands above him is his king. Everyone else is beneath him. He shows pride in his capabilities and serves his title and station with passion and determination. He serves a great king, so he himself exudes an aura of greatness.
