Seiyu's Life!: Non-profit Anime Fandub | Round #2
Project Overview
What is This?
This is an anime fandub of the beloved Seiyu's Life. This particular project is going to be about voice acting in Japan and how competitive the industry is. This series is going to be framed around 3 main girls who find themselves trying to make a living off of their voice with little to no knowledge about voice acting. Are you in?
For those of you still quite unfamiliar with the premise: The series is centered on three friends who are all rookie voice actresses; Futaba Ichinose, Ichigo Moesaki, and Rin Kohana. As the girls go through their individual troubles of working in voice acting, they end up hosting a web radio show together and form the unit, Earphones. It's a comedy and slice-of-life anime!
Requirements
- Make sure your annunciation is on point so we can understand what you're saying.
- We'll be using the .mp3 or .wav format.
- Do at least 2 takes per line when auditioning.
- Please only audition if you are going to be active and committed. We strive to communicate with our cast and build a fun environment.
- Please include your Discord and or other contact information.
- You must be able to do more than one tone of voice given the fact that most of the characters in the series portray a wide range.
- Make sure to use a good microphone when auditioning! We want to make this as professional as possible. (No background noise, no buzzing, and no clipping/peaking)
Final Notes
- Please don't read what's between the parenthesis or the character info. Those are simply there to provide context and give you an idea about the character and what emotion they're trying to convey.
- Discord is required as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it).
- PLEASE DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS
- You may be asked to audition for additional roles if your voice has range and emotion.
- New roles will be added whenever we meet a new significant character! So make sure to keep yourself posted with this casting call!
And that's it. If more questions come up you may contact us by email at (@gmail.com) XsikuConnect and I'll try and resolve any recurring questions for those reading through this project who are sort of confused...
