SEEKING NARRATOR - Zero Angel's War of the Ages: The Throne of Ao
Project Overview
This project is currently ongoing
PLOT SYNOPSIS:
For Val, the questions don't matter. If there's a chance he can help, he's going to put it all on the line. The Throne of Ao stands towering over realms torn apart by war--it is a great mesa that houses mysteries that were old when the world was new. Mysteries that may lead Val to the legendary Panacea. Here will be the site of Val's greatest trial.
Val's mother fell to the Culling. The Elder and founder of his hometown is dying now. The Culling is an enemy that no one expects the young warrior to fight: a cancer that feeds on magick.
Together with his best friend Uri and the gnomish empath Maryl, Val leaves everything behind for the chance to find a cure. This is his Lifequest. This is how he will come of age or die trying.
Will Val, Uri, Maryl and the other companions they meet on their journey be able to make the sacrifices necessary to save each other? To save Val's elder and those afflicted by the Culling? Can Val save everyone?

This project will be a direction heavy project. ALL CAST CHOSEN WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE DIRECTION.
DIRECTION NOTES:
- I expect no consistent background noise. I am sorry if that makes you feel pushed out, but it will not be accepted. (I can handle a small stand Bump or things like that for the audition. I just don't need loud fans or room ambience.)
- Some minor cleanup is fine. But no crazy monster FX. (A small pitch shift is fine if you are looking to bolster or brighten your vocal quality)
- Make sure your audio doesn't clip. We want to have head room to work with your audio in the end. Don't let clipping be the area your audio suffers.
- THESE PARTS ARE TO SEE YOUR VOCAL QUALITY TO SEE IF WE CAN FIT YOU INTO THE WORK AND HOW YOU HANDLE BASIC AUDIO THAT WILL GIVEN TO AN END USER.
- Now before I sound too much like a jerk... I want people who are passionate about acting first and foremost. People who love having philosophical discussion about their characters. People who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and decide when they feel the text doesn't give them an answer.
- Please leave your Discord name in the description.
I look forward to hearing you all and I plan on giving feedback where I can.
BRASS TACKS: This is strictly for the Narrator part of this production. With respect to this the PFH rate will be $40 for the time you put in. (Ex. 1/4 hour will be paid at the full hour. A line by line deliverable will be attached to the payment to justify labor payment). This is an ultra-low budget project. We will do this work on a Chapter by Chapter basis with a tentative schedule for chosen actors on when they will be needed. PAYMENTS WILL BE HANDLED VIA PAYPAL OR VENMO.

Deadlines pushed back a month
Really enjoyed the responses so far. We are looking to get a few more things done with the project at this point and I have my day job pulling me around the country. So tough to put time in this coming month and review. Thank you so much to the auditions so far. -
Enjoying what I am hearing!
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to say thank you for the reception so far. Just wanted to put out a blanket statement and say please add your Discord name (if you don't have discord add your email) onto your audition. It makes it easier for contacting later. Thanks you all! Great work!
Jennifer Hale type voice (Commander Shepherd [Female variant] from Mass Effect)
DON'T GO TOO MILITANT WITH THIS. This is a fantasy novel. The intent is for the vocalist to have a strong feminine/motherly vibe. The reader should very much feel like they are telling their son's story through the eyes of a proud/protective mother. (Feel free to PM me about this if you want to refine my meaning.)
Pronouncing a line wrong won't be held against you. Some of these names are tough to grasp at first.
Valistair was reclining in the sitting room of Master Inoullius’s home. Uriel was pacing. The room was dimly lit. The eerie light of the moon shined through Master Inoullius’s narrow windows. The many colors of the moonlight seemed to dance across the floor to Val’s blurry vision. The blues, greens, and oranges of the moonlight, all tinged with an unnatural silver, beckoned Val to sleep, but he resisted. Master Inoullius had asked them to wait for him as he went to talk to Elder Korbin and Ordamir about what had happened.
Val watched the demon charge down the unsteady Deckard and knew Deckard to be too weak to defend against the powerful demon, but Val could see the crystals affecting them both. They strengthened the demon and weakened Deckard. Val’s sword flew through the air at the demon’s head, crossing its line of sight and causing it to stop. It laughed at Val’s miss before the sword could complete its trajectory and bury itself into one of the large crystals, shattering it totally. The demon screamed in pain again as the magickal network of the crystals weakened and compensated for the loss. Val took his shield and hurled it at the crystal closest to him along the wall. As it shattered, Deckard seemed a little surer of himself and the demon seemed even more furious.
A civilization of people resembling fish more than hume, the icthaylians use the waterways of the world to maintain their trading empire. Their presence here proved that the icthaylians were capitalistic enough to go where rivers and streams did not. Other creatures had traveled far from the north and west to buy the goods of the dwarves. The honor-bound ranines possessed the head of a frog, but wielded weapons as large as they and heavy armor—all of dwarven-make. Even in heavy armor, their ability to jump and climb was peerless. The immaculately dressed minotaurs from the northern mountains were an astonishing site for the group. Over eight feet tall and well over four hundred pounds of muscle, the minotaurs were covered head to toe in thick fur and resembled nothing so much as bipedal bulls. Their dress and equipment were intricate things that belied their bestial visage. One of the more common races they saw looked to be a cross between Maryl and a dwarf, and Maryl explained they were rock gnomes, cousins to the gnomes of the forest.
