Project Overview
Seasons of Joy is an upcoming Slice-of-Life animated series, being made by Court Jester Productions.
Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Four adopted sisters who have been through thick and thin together, despite being so different. Join these four as they take on what the world throws at them, one season at a time...
Open ethnicity - POC actors strongly encouraged to audition.
REQUIREMENTS
1. You must have a high-quality microphone, or at the very least, you must be clear for me to hear and have any background noise be minimal.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the project will be going into production over there.
3. I would prefer it if you had some level of improv skills as you will most likely be improving quite a bit in this series
4. Your voice files must be sent in a .wav format.
5. Remember to have fun!
NOTE: Payment on this project will be distributed upon completion and uploading of each episode, as well as when revenue begins to be generated. So if all these conditions are met, expect to be paid in the weeks following the uploading of each episode.

Spring is what some would call a Flower girl. She loves the outdoors, she's very kind and sweet, she enjoys going out and taking walks or trips to the park, and she loves to plant and take care of flowers. She has a whole flower garden in the backyard that she cares for every day. She is very sensitive though and doesn't like being scared.
Race: Latin-American
Voice: Medium-High range, with a very calm, yet optimistic tone. Think Genesis Rodriguez's performance as Perfuma in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

[Checking her Garden, Happy] How are my little darlings doing today? Oh, looks like you've grown quite a bit, haven't you Mr. Zinnia? and you Ms. Daffodil, you've gotten so big, mama's so proud. In fact, I'm proud of all of you. You're all so beautiful.
[Upset, on the verge of tears] Why? Why would someone be so cruel? People deserve our kindness and our love, do they not? Then why show such disrespect to someone who doesn't deserve it?
[Improvise a scenario as the character]
Summer is the athlete of the four. She's very energetic, confident, competitive, and cocky. she loves going to the beach, working out, playing basketball or video games, and swimming. She does have a bit of a temper, so if you piss her off, get ready to get called out big time.
Race: Polynesian
Voice: Medium-Low range, with a subtle rasp, not too heavy. When she gets angry, however, that's when the rasp should come out in full display. Think a slightly more raspy version of Ashly Burch's performance as Chloe Price in Life is Strange.

[Cocky, being challenged to basketball] A game of the ol B-ball huh? Alright, why not? Hope you're hungry, pal, cus I'm gonna make you eat my balls and THAT sounded a lot better in my head UGH!
[Angry, protecting her sisters] You seriously underestimate the lengths I will go to protect the ones I love. I don't care who you are, I don't care what you do to me or what you threaten me with. I will NOT LET YOU HURT MY SISTERS!
[Improvise a scenario as the character]
Autumn isn't what you'd call an extrovert. Growing up, she was pretty clumsy, she always tended to trip over herself, or others, and she'd always end up falling on her face. Because of this, she was given the nickname "Fall" which has stuck with her ever since. As such, she doesn't exactly have the best self-confidence. She enjoys reading, playing board games, watching movies, and listening to lo-fi music. She's a socially awkward nerd, but she's got a big heart.
Race: African-American
Voice: Medium-High range. Her words should be enunciated slightly as well. Think Kimberly Brooks' performance as Karen Beecher in DC Super Hero Girls

[Nervous, bumping into someone] (Lets out a yelp as she falls on the ground) Oh my gosh, I am so sorry! I didn't mean to run into you! Uh here let me get those for you. There you go, good as new...kinda. (Chuckles nervously) Okgottagobye!

[Improvise a scenario as the character]
Winter has always been a bit of a cold shoulder. After a very harsh breakup, she found it was better to shut off her emotions from everyone else, to keep from getting hurt again. The only people who she still lets into her icy heart are her sisters, who she cares greatly about, and a select few people she's connected with. She's very snarky, sarcastic, and a big pessimist. She enjoys baking, painting, writing, and cuddling with her sisters sometimes. When it snows, that's the only time she will legit get excited, as she loves snow and all snow-based activities.
Race: Caucasian
Voice: Medium-Low range, with warmth in her voice, when she's talking to her sisters, but harsh aggressiveness when he's talking to anyone else.
[Annoyed, to some braggart in the mall] Yeah, we get it, you're the fricking chosen one and we should all bow down to you. Your ego is at like a twenty, you need to tone it down to a five, seriously.
[Comforting, to Autumn while she's freaking out] Hey hey shhh, it's okay. I'm right here. Deep breaths, Autumn, remember what your doctor told you. That's it, breathe, there we go. Now, do you wanna tell me what this is about?

You will be creating the music for this series. I hear the music being very acoustic, so acoustic guitars and pianos are def your go-to instruments for this. I want this series to feel nostalgic in a sense, so the music should do the same. Very warm and comforting. I suggest looking to the songs and music used in Life is Strange for inspiration.

You will be working on the backgrounds for the series. I want the backgrounds to feel both warm in the right ways and cool in the right ways, the colors, lighting and shading in the backgrounds should give this air of nostalgia.

You will be assisting me in writing the scripts for the series. I want the lines in this series to feel like the way people would actually talk to one another, really make it feel like each episode is something that could actually happen to you or me.

You will be in charge of the sound effects and the ambience of the show. Now, I want the sounds to really feel realistic, nothing overtly loud or cartoony, with the ambience giving a laid-back, relaxed sort of atmosphere.
