Rolling Stock Series - Voice Cast Calling
Project Overview
Rolling stock is a youtube series, about, well.... talking trains.
Similar to such shows as Thomas, Chuggington, and such.
Rolling Stock tackles the daily life of the locomotives that work on the Branchline of the Normanton and Warwick Railway.
From learning important lessons to finding solutions to unusual situations.
6 episodes have been created so far (with a 7th episode in production) with the sole creator doing not only the scripts, animation, editing and but most importantly the voices.
But now it's time to give the characters some much needed individual vocals for a new Season starting with Episode 8.

Electra is the Smallest of the branchline locomotives. (not including Trixie)
She is soft spoken due to here relatively quiet electric motors.
Normally on Passenger works, she sometimes pulls freight trains as well with no fuss.
Electra has a British or Swiss accent.
All aboard to Warwick Junction, please what your step while boarding.
Hello Ms Stacy, Looks like there are lots of passengers for the seaside fair today
Sparrow, we need to stop, that last signal was set to Danger!
Beatrice is the branchline's maintenance locomotive.
Strong and hard working to keep the rails well maintained.
She is always there to help the other locomotives when ever they need a tow.
Because of her job, Beatrice speaks with a more slight butch voice.
But she is one of the friendliest locomotives you'll ever meet.
Beatrice to control, heading right away over and out!
Cheer up Sparrow, we'll soon have you repaired and back on track.
Hello Ms Stacy, we'll need to order more rails and sleepers. I just used the last of the stock this morning.
Trixie is the small shunting tractor who works in the train yard,
Every now and then, she loves to try and make jokes and pranks on her fellow engines.
Especially those who (like sparrow) who are very self-centered.
However deep down, she is a good hard working tractor, and loves her friends.
Trixie speaks with a cheeky, teasing tone.
However she does have some sensible moments.
And even a serious 'no joking about' if Ms Farmer Brown (Station Mistress Stacy's sister) is involved!
*Giggle after a successful prank* Gotcha O.S!
*teasing* Well well well, if it isn't Mr high sprung.
*sad guilty* Yes Ms Stacy, Sorry Ms Stacy
Station Mistress Stacy is the head of the branchline.
She likes to make sure her Branchline runs smoothly.
Her role is similar to the famous controller from another railway series.
Stacy need a good older adult voice,
Although the boss, she is very motherly to her trains.
She will scold then when naughty, and speak gently when hurt.
*happy* Good Morning everyone, normal schedules today, however please be careful when going past the festival grounds today.
*Stern* Sparrow, you know very well not to pass signals when set to danger
*Caring* Electra, it is my job to make sure that you are taken care off, and assign jobs so you're not overworking your motors.
Rudolf is a hard working locomotive.
He enjoys pulling long heavy trains along the railway.
He hates rainy weather, but always pulls through.
But overall is friendly and like to run on time
Rudolf speaks with a gruff.
Bit of German accent would be great, but is NOT mandatory.
*showing off* Come on, load me up, you know I can tow more than this.
*groan* I hate this wet weather, short trains are no fun
*Cheerful* Good morning Stacy, I'm ready for a productive day.
Sparrow is a one of a kind, High Speed passenger locomotive of the Brixton Mainline Railway.
He never likes to do things that he feels are below his standards.
Proud of himself, Sparrow loves getting attention and compliments from his passengers.
His mannerisms are a mixture of Daisy and Gordon from Thomas and Friends.
Very pompous and dislike work he deems is filthy.
*after being teased* humf, I see they still haven't replace outdated technology on this little branchline
*trying to get out of a job* Oh I'd like to Ms Stacy, but I ugh, just cooled down my systems, yes
*bragging* You Branchline trains have no idea, how unfortunate you are, always traveling snail pace, unlike me
O.S is the oldest member of the railway.
While not as powerful as Rudolf, or as fast as Sparrow.
He does what ever job is given to him with friendly smile and pride.
After all it's not ever day you get a second chance to run on a railway of his type, and he knows it.
Friendly, wise, and hard working, He is always willing to do his best.
I picture O.S. speaks with a slight Australian accent to reflect his prototype class.
However it's NOT a required accent overall, so please use what you see fit.
He should have a warm gentle voice similar to an Edward.
Good Morning Ms Farmer Brown, my name is O.S
Sparrow, the whole point of the race is to have fun and get exercise, not who wins.
I don't think I can get use to this temporary whistle, It just, doesn’t sound like me.
Like real railways, are normally more than one example of locomotive class running at the same time.
So that means there are multiple Jens and Erics to voices available for these Mainline locomotives,
Although not main character, hopefully plans will come to give at least one of this class a role
This is probably the hardest role, but hopefully the most fun.
As there are many of these locomotives, every Jen and Eric locomotive can have multiple voices.
And maybe personalities to, depending on the voice samples.
All aboard! The doors closing, please stand clear,
*hyperactive/fast talk/little miss chatterbox* Oh wow! I can't believe I'm actually working on the Branchline, you know I've never worked on a branchline, nope nope, been a mainline (boy/girl) ever since I was build and joined my brothers and sisters.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry!
This is a one time role for a future story.
This character is very snobby, stuck up, rude, and never learns her lesson until too late.
*Sing-y, snobby* Out of my Way, Out of the way, the most important steam engine is coming through.
*bossy/angry* Well don't just stand there, DO something! GET HELP!
*panic* Help! Help! Please do something! Anything!
