Synopsis
Lyraxos, Arbiter of Conquest, is obsessed with the annihilation of Earth, the first creation by Enta, Arbiter of Light. His immense darkness is almost more than Enta can bear, so she creates three sentinels to help fight against him.
Rise of the First Sentinel follows the origins of Néo (nay-oh), the first sentinel, and how he assumes his mantle of power in preparation of defeating Lyraxos.
But there's one major problem…
Néo doesn't understand his purpose, and the other two sentinels are in other parts of the world. How will he discover the purpose of his creation, and find the other sentinels? Why can't Enta just tell him? These questions will be answered by the story of Rise of the First Sentinel.

Rise of the First Sentinel is an episodic visual novel season that serves as the 2nd installment of a greater series that started with Enta's Odyssey. View the initial video novel here.
The story picks up immediately after Enta's Odyssey. Enta, Arbiter of Light, watches over the planet she lovingly created as a result of her loneliness. Lyraxos, Arbiter of Conquest, seeks to destroy her and her world as he believes there is too much light filling the cosmos, and that using her power to create is a despicable misuse.
Enta creates three sentinels to help her defend the world. The first sentinel is Néo. (nay-oh)
The project has 10 episodes and the release schedule will be 2 per week until the finale.
The structure holds the same style as Enta's Odyssey: Narration, isolated voice acting scenes, divided by musical interludes and images that aid in telling the story.
The number of voice lines for the 3 main roles range between 130-160.

Notes
Good audio quality IS REQUIRED. No FX, no compression or limiting, with flat EQ. Shoot for -10 average db level. No room sound or echo. Submissions that lack audio quality will be automatically denied. You may include a demo reel in addition to the provided audition lines.
Legal: All casted roles will sign a contract for legal protection of both parties, and legally bind me to pay you (if you get a paid role), for your peace of mind.

About the author
My name is Levi Kuskie. I have a degree in music composition, I produce music and soundtracks. I'm also a writer, and the director of this series. I wrote a novel through high school and published it by the age of 17. This series is based directly off of that novel. Throughout the years of daydreaming, I have devised a storyline that spans millions of years, beginning with Enta's Odyssey. Check out my previous publications on YouTube and Spotify.

In an attempt to funnel more submissions to the roles that have received less attention, I have temporarily (perhaps permanently) closed submissions for a couple roles.

(in wonder) Really? All of Orissan?
[saddened] She always says awful things. I don’t understand what her problem is.
[As if in a stupor, hushed] The fields need tending to… The fields need tending to…
[Long breath in] … The fields need tending to… The fields need tending to…
Edith is one of Evelyn's childhood friends
What’s magic? [Spoken as if she never heard the word before]
Come on, girls. Let’s go somewhere else.
Are you alright?
Adrianna is the kindly elderly widow that discovered Néo and raised him
[Nervous] “Who is there? Are you hurt?”
Ellia is an elderly seamstress, a friend of Evelyn and the Cromley's.
She is very excited to see you again.
[Smiling] Yes, yes. But, your mother has missed her little girl dearly. Your father, too.
[angry, shouting] Spawn of Enta! Spawn of Enta!
The innkeeper. Generally a positive attitude. 3rd audition is delivered in a more grave manner
Ho, there. How can I lend a hand? Need a pint?
[Hushed] Oh, that be Gatz, he's been a bit addled these past months. Don't ya worry, he's harmless, that one.
[Deeper, more serious] No… No clue about that. Be about your business now.
[alarmed noise]
They’re here! The Valtimarians are coming! The Valtimarians are coming!
[urgent] Sir! Sir!
The town is occupied by the Valtimarians!
They fly the flag of New Valtim. I estimate perhaps two thousand soldiers.
Néo (nay-oh) is the first sentinel, direct offspring of Enta the Arbiter, a god-like being who created the world out of the despair of her loneliness.
Excerpt from the work:
"The people of Gallin didn’t understand Néo and his power, and they were afraid, for the art of magic was yet to be discovered by the masses, and was only researched and practiced by the few elite. He was ostracized by his peers, and dismissed by his elders. The only soul in Gallin that held kindness for him was Adrianna."
Néo's Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is INTP

[perplexed] How did you find me? How did you know I was hiding behind the bush?
[Trembling] So, you abandon me?… Am I to forget the betrayal of those who I thought to be my friends?
Néo: [Trembling, Soft spoken] I guess… You were just afraid, and… You didn’t understand…
Maze is an aged wizard who studies and teaches the arcane to select few. Hearing rumors of strange magical activity, he goes in search of Néo (nay-oh), and takes the boy under his tutelage. Maze has a kind heart, but will say what needs to be said regardless of anyone's feelings.
Over time, he provides a fatherly figure to Néo as he grows, but keeps their relationship mostly professional as he is his student.
Maze's Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is INFP
Maze: “Alright, boy. Come out then.”
Maze: “No. There’s nothing left for you there. Those people wouldn’t know what to do about your magic, or your curse, as they see it. I, on the other hand, do.”
Maze: Indeed, I am. [Increasingly firm] But the path you walk is one of destruction, Néo. When left alone, hatred destroys everything in its path. Your soul is like a garden, but it is overrun with thorns and weeds of bitterness. I will not permit your potential to be suffocated.
Evelyn is a student of Maze, and is of noble blood. She is thoughtful and kind, and becomes a close companion to Néo.
Evelyn is a strong young woman, who in her studies of the arcane has acquired a more sensitive side of empathy and compassion. Considerate and intelligent, she can hold her own in a fight.
Evelyn's type indicator is ENTJ
"I know… I just don’t like wearing dresses anymore. Especially the frilly kind. They’re uncomfortable, and hard to move around in."

Cecilia is Evelyn's over-bearing mother, the wife of Robert, and are of noble blood. Cecilia is deeply rooted in tradition, and is somewhat blind to the maturation and transformation of Evelyn. She struggles to accept that Evelyn is already quite mature. She dislikes that Evelyn seems to have a disregard for her appearance (Evelyn prefers to wear rugged clothes).
Hello dear. We’re just putting the finishing touches on your dress for the party tonight!
Oh! And would you please change out of these clothes. You look like a–like a peasant!
Robert is Evelyn's loving father, and husband of Cecilia, and is of noble blood. Robert owns a large mansion in Stoneroad.
How much longer are you staying? I’d love to take you into town tomorrow. Just like old times.
[to Evelyn] Hey there, bug! You’re finally back! Look at you– you’ve grown so much.
[Disbelief] A dragon? I thought those were myth.
George is a noble and is Robert's best friend and generally takes a jovial disposition. His voice is comparable to Christopher Judge. George is the father of Edith, and is a business associate to Robert in Stoneroad.
Hello, Evelyn. It’s nice to see you again.
[tease] Have you been terrorizing the animals out in the forest?
[Guffaw/laugh] Goodbye, my friends.
Matilda is one of Evelyn's childhood friends. She is self-conceited and exhibits narcissistic traits.
(Orissan, pronounced "orissAWN")
Last month, I visited the royal castle in the capital city. My parents were invited by one of the members of the royal court to talk business. They let us stay in the guest wing of the castle. It was so wonderful!
Just let it go! [Disgust] You’re such a pest sometimes.
[smug] This is the finest dress my father could acquire in all of Orissan. Isn’t it lovely?
Aspen is one of Evelyn's childhood friends.
Matilda said some awful things…
Did you see any cute boys?
A knight of the King's Royal Task force. Sir Gordon holds high rank and reputation in Orissan, and is frequently engaged in military matters. He's straightforward, gruff, but not insensitive
No, sir. A contract from the King himself… Shall I share the details?
It is not restricted to one person. The more the better.
Oh, yes. Step to the table lad. What is your report?
‘Ello there. Fret not, ye ain't too tardy. The ale match's 'bout t'commence! Say... Ye seem rather flustered. Need a pint?
