Red Death; Episode 1 and 2 Pilot
Project Overview
The Audio Play follows a Bounty Hunter who is down on his luck. Although he is one of the best gunslingers in the world, he seems to be on a dry spell when it comes to catching his bounties. A little girl stumbles into his camp advising she was the daughter of his long time ago love interest. Mary is a mouthy, stubborn, 8 year old who recently lost her mother to a sickness. She traveled half way across the county to meet E.C. Addison, who she believes to be her father. As they try to discover their new relationship, a sickness races across the state of Colorado. The red death, highly contagious and with symptoms the world has never seen before. The series will follow these two as they try to survive the wild west and the horrors on the open prairie.
I want to create the first two episodes as pilots and see if interest could help me get financially backed. I will attach a link to the rough draft of the script. Feel free to read through. I may import the script into WriterDuet.

Lead in the Audio Play
Things needed, good audio microphone for line recording.
Character Description: Bounty Hunter down on his luck. Gruff and rugged. Voice should be deeper and gravely. He is arrogant and proud. One of the best gunslingers in the West. Hardened from years of killing, but Mary will soften his personality as they grow together.
Demo Lines:
EC: Ok, I don’t know what Alice told you, but you should NOT be hanging around someone like me. So, why don’t you scurry along and head back to Alice.
MARY: Mom, she…she died last month.
EC: What!?
MARY: She survived Yellow Fever, but was left weak and sickly. She was the strongest person I knew. She tried everything she could to hold on, but she caught tuberculosis. She, she didn’t make-
EC: Mary, I’m sorry. I truly am child. But I don’t know why you came here. It was a mistake.... I’ve done awful, unforgivable things. I'm no man who should raise a little girl
MARY: That’s not fair! I came all this way from Illinois, just for you to turn me away?!
EC: Illinois!? You are telling me you rode all the way to Colorado through Indian territory by yourself…

Character: 8 year old little girl who lost her mother to sickness. She traveled across the Great Plains looking for her long lost father. She is stubborn, mouthy, and crass. She is very good with a pistol for her age and will do everything she can to have E.C. Addison teach her the ropes of being a bounty hunter. She swears.

OUTLAW 3: Wa-wa-wait! Wait! Please! Where the hell is my gun?!
MARY: Oh you mean this? EC: Mary!? What the hell are you doing here!
OUTLAW 3: You stupid Bit-

OUTLAW 3: AHHHHHH!!! You Bitch, you shot me in the leg!
MARY: Watch your language! Am I right EC?
EC: What are you doing here!
MARY: I couldn’t let you go all by yourself! Plus, I got bored listening to Sister Madeline preach. I left earlier in the day when these guys were out of the area and hid in that rotted log!
OUTLAW 3: Are you guys just goin’ to let me bleed out here!? Help!
MARY/EC: Shut uuuup!
EC: God dammit girl! MARY: Well here I am. What’a you going to do about it?
EC: Fine! Just stay out of my way! You!
OUTLAW 3: Me!?
EC: No your whore loving buddy with the bullet in his head! Of course you! Where is Tommy!

Galloping stops and men dismount.
TOMMY: Oh damn Bill! I think you may have one too many holes in your forehead… I don’t think Doc would be able to fix that. So bounty hunter, I see you found my little hideout.
MARY: Beast!
A horse snorts.
TOMMY: Hoooly shit! You were the girl we caught snoozin’ under that tree! Thanks for the horse by the way. Should have gutted you when I had the chance!

EC: That’s why I brought her to you!
SM: Elliot. Do you really think that young girl will flourish here? With the “old hag?” She’s got her mother’s fire. I can appreciate that, but she needs someone with a strong will, and not 30 other kids…
EC: Cora, you can’t be serious.
SM: Do you think a person like me lies in front of the Lord?
