Mrs. Martha Burger is a concerned parent being interviewed on the radio. Her son has disappeared, and she is (wrongly) convinced that he has been absorbed by his computer for some reason.
Okay. Here’s a question for you then, since you apparently have all the answers. If it wasn’t the Net, then what was it? Aliens? Nobody has any better ideas!

Two Star General Michael Sturgeon is a seemingly straight-laced but actually slightly crazy man who is on the radio explaining why they will be nuking a mysterious zone in Nevada very soon after it's discovery.
The two hikers were initially found by researchers who were taking rock samples in the area. Their scientific equipment also picked up the barrier of this zone. They marked the area off and contacted us.
It has, and that’s a good thing. I say quit while you’re ahead. We’re cutting our losses. We’ve all seen, you know, sci-fi movies – I mean, I haven’t, since I’m not a nerd, but we all know what’s going to happen here. Sure, we could waste more drones, and turn more people into loonies, maybe even send in an android and see what the hell that would do, but instead we’re just skipping all that.
Microboy is a somewhat pretentious android musician who has struggled commercially because many humans see his music as inauthentic. His music is about the streets and the harsh life he led, when in reality he does not even have a past since he was made in a factory.
You know what, maybe I should address that first. People actually loved my first album until they found out I was an android. People forget that. Everyone said that because I hadn’t really experienced what I was talking about on the album that it wasn’t legit. I had people coming up to me and saying “Microboy, why are you making songs about getting into grav-knife fights as a kid when you were built as a fully grown adult two weeks ago?”
Oh, that? People didn’t hate it because I’m an android, it was just really bad. I barely remember recording it. I’ve still never even heard the whole thing.
Mother is a super-intelligent AI that controls the entirety of Russia. She is on public radio to promote migration to Russia. She comes across as rather dismissive of humans and their concerns.
Pathetic. Physical resources and currency are distributed in a logical manner in Russia, another policy that is absent in this country. In Russia there is also no need for voting or politically induced anxiety, as all legislative decisions are made by myself. There is no need for acquiring information via the news media and then arguing about it with other humans on the Net. Russia is also home to a diverse range of nutrients.
Russian society is now completely optimal for human living. You will automatically receive employment upon immigrating to our country. We have maximally efficient infrastructure. As an experiment, I attempted to take a public bus to this studio. It took me several hours.
