Project Overview

I'm going to try to make this as quick as possible, so I don't waste any time!
My name is Jozial and I run a channel with my best friend called Start Th'art. We aren't a huge channel but I have worked on
decent projects before. I have a berserk abridged series that I worked on a few years ago that I couldn't get back up and
running due to personal life issues but It was well-received nonetheless!
Now, The name of this project doesn't really matter. It may be changed in the future or it might just be scraped because
the titles of the videos won't include the name of the series. If you get the role, you can totally give me ideas on
names if you'd like!
I'll give you a little description of what this project is about to start off with!
This project stemmed from me actually porting the entire Konoha map into SFM, it took a lot of work and I learned
a lot in that time. I am a huge Naruto fan and the fact I was able to port this map into SFM opens up a lot of possibilities
for animation.
I have been animating for about 3 or 4 years now and I have extensive knowledge of blender and source film maker.
I am not the best, and I am still learning, but I am still capable of growth just as anyone is. This project is going
to take place primarily in source film maker mainly because the speed at which I can get animations out is dramatically
faster than blender.
As far as what the project is about, Its obviously Naruto focused however, there will be appearances of other characters
from other series down the road. It's mainly going to be the characters of Naruto in different comedic scenarios
and mini stories. If I had to relate it to something I would say a Naruto version of what Devil Artemis is doing.
So the amount of work Voice actors have to do is fairly low because each episode is going to be only 1-2 minutes long.
That being said, I do plan on having multiple episodes ready to be voiced at a time. and that leads me to the main point
of this description.
What I need from YOU.
As a voice actor, I don't expect you to be present 100% of the time because trust me, I understand how busy life can be.
However, there are some criteria you have to meet in order to be capable of joining this project.
First: Mic quality.
I think we can all agree that having terrible microphone quality can take a project from 8 to a 2 really fast.
Its very jarring if you have one VA with a good mic and the next shot you have a VA with lacking mic quality. So please,
make sure you have a relatively decent microphone if you are going audition. Background noise is fixable but to an extent
it gets too much so if there is background noise, please keep it to a minimum. Any sort of buzzing or interference will not
be accepted. Last thing, please keep plosives to a low degree. If you don't know that means P's B's or any sound that would
make your mic sound like this (do an example)
Second: Ability.
The characters your going to be voicing are characters that already have voice actors. I don't plan on having any original
characters, at the moment, so there is plenty of reference for what your character should sound like. Does that mean you
have to sound EXACTLY like them? No not at all. As long as you capture the feel and essence of what the characters voice
sounds like, your good to go. However, if you are able to replicate their voice very well, that is going to help you a ton.
Third: Contact ability.
This is a big one. Early I mentioned the berserk abridged series I worked on a few years ago and the reason it wasn't finished.
While yes, there were some personal life issues in the way of me working on it, there was also another issue. I had some voice
actors that were not easily reachable and who would disappear for a few weeks and I couldn't contact them. This caused burnout
and frustration and I really don't to go through that again, so I will try to make this as clear as possible.
As a voice actor I will expect you to be reachable. If you have an emergency or something come up last minute, that is
perfectly fine I understand but I can't have you randomly going ghost especially if I am expecting lines from you so
please just let me know, that's it! as long as I know what's up then it can be planned for and worked around!
Like I said earlier, I plan on having multiple videos ready to be voiced at a time so that if an emergency does happen, you can
have time to tend to it without having to worry yourself over voice lines because let's be honest, we are all just trying
to fulfill our passions, not stress ourselves out!
I will share the link to the discord to anyone who gets cast! This is to ensure we can easily communicate.
There are going to many roles that are not listed in this casting call. For that, I will most likely either ask one of the
VAs if they are available to do that voice (If I think they are capable) or I will make a subsequent casting call
for more characters. There is a good possibility that your character may only be used once or twice for a long time. If
you are interested in getting more characters so that your voice appears more often, feel free to DM me in the discord
and I will gladly get something worked out If I can.

Naruto is generally a very simple minded, easy going, cheerful person. He often rushes things, and misses obvious things such as Hinata's constant shyness around him.
In the beginning of the series, Naruto is very fun loving, often pulling pranks on fellow villagers. This usually ends in a scolding from Iruka Umino. Naruto later reveals he did these pranks because he liked the attention, as he grew up with no parents or friends. He's also very beginning when he's young, despite being largely unskilled in comparison to his peers.
As the series progresses and Naruto gets older, he eventually starts to become more serious and wises up.
As a Jinchūriki bearing the Nine Tailed Fox, Kurama, Naruto was often jeered at and avoided by most villagers. Because of this, Naruto was largely alone in the early parts of his life, and would often seek out attention by pulling pranks. This would become Naruto's main reason want to become Hokage, so everyone in the village would acknowledge and respect him. Eventually, Naruto's actions towards saving the village (And even the whole world) lead to many villagers respecting and even admiring him. In the movie, Naruto: The Last, Naruto has fans who come from all different villages just to see him.
Naruto has a strong dedication to his friends, often willing to put his life on the line to protect them. Despite his treachery towards the Hidden Leaf Village, Naruto has always considered childhood rival Sasuke Uchiha to be his best friend. In the end of the series, Naruto reveals that he cared for Sasuke so much because he felt they knew the same pain of being alone, and he constantly would chase after him because Naruto did not want to see him hurt when there is no need to.
As Hokage, Naruto seems to have grown even more mature. When Boruto was pulling pranks, Naruto knew this was because he didn't have a father figure, and spent time with him. This shows that Naruto cares deeply for his children.

Grew up… the only survivor of his clan, after a brutal massacre that left the rest of the Uchiha clan dead. Sasuke is cagey about the details of the event, but one thing's clear: he's "going to restore my clan, and kill a certain somebody."
Living… in the Hidden Leaf Village, in a world where supernaturally powered ninja are common. Sasuke's one of them, and while he's still training to be a full-fledged ninja, his intelligence and talent have already placed him at the top of his class.
Profession… ninja. Considered a prodigy by many, Sasuke excels at every subject in the village Academy – every subject, that is, except cooperation. For that reason, Sasuke is forced to join Team 7 after graduation, where he has to work with slacker Naruto and academic Sakura. Sasuke has a bad attitude and a bit of a superiority complex, but he also possesses the skills to back it up. Seeing your entire clan murdered by your beloved older brother is pretty good training motivation. This ninja won’t stop until his enemies are dead.
Interests… improving his skills, brooding, and revenge. Unlike the rest of his team, Sasuke has few things he genuinely enjoys. As he puts it, ""I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything." Instead, Sasuke focuses all his energy on becoming strong enough to avenge his clan.
Relationship Status… single. Sasuke's aloof demeanor and good looks make him a magnet for many women, including Sakura, but he sees romance as merely another distraction from his main goal.
Challenge… wreaking revenge on the man who killed his clan. Sasuke loved his parents dearly, and since their murder, he's been fixated on avenging their deaths. Only 12 now, he's nonetheless filled with determination to kill his clan's murderer. But in his quest for vengeance, Sasuke may run the risk of becoming like the man he hates.
Personality… cynical, antisocial, and resentful. As a child, Sasuke was kind and cheerful, but that all changed when he was witnessed the massacre of his clan at age 7. Now, Sasuke's only goal in life is revenge, and he'll do whatever he needs to get it.

Relationship Status… single, but deeply in love with Sasuke. An aloof, enigmatic loner, Sasuke gives no sign of returning Sakura's feelings. But as with all bad boys, Sasuke's coldness only makes Sakura more determined to win him over. As she declares to him, "I would do anything for you! So please, just stay with me!"
Challenge… becoming a ninja capable of helping her friends. While Sakura has the intelligence and talent to be a formidable warrior, she's currently outclassed by Naruto and Sasuke's sheer raw power. As a result, she often ends up on the sidelines during battles, unable to help much beyond moral support. This comes as a hard shock to a girl used to placing in the top of her class, but Sakura's determined "to take the lead" and prove worthy of fighting alongside her teammates.
Personality… intelligent, courageous, and compassionate. Though her quick temper might make her easily irritated with others, Sakura has a kind heart underneath, caring for her friends above all. With her sharp mind and willingness to sacrifice herself in battle, whatever Sakura lacks in power, she makes up for in intelligence and bravery.

Kakashi has a dynamic personality. He was shown to be a very stern and serious ninja when he was much younger. He strictly followed orders and scorned anyone who disobeyed them. This caused some friction between him and his then team-mate, Obito Uchiha. Obito was eventually mortally wounded in battle and this caused a change in Kakashi's attitude. He now has a more carefree and laid-back personality. His personality is further emphasized by his generally lazy expression, aloof manner, relaxed voice, and minimalist attitude. However, Kakashi can still be as emotionless as he was during his youth, often speaking bluntly about sensitive topics. In serious situations, he is shown to be extremely serious and calculating. During battle, Kakashi is known to first send out clones of himself in order to study and analyze his opponent. Despite his increasingly growing reputation and prowess as a ninja, Kakashi has shown no signs of arrogance, and is rather modest about his abilities.Kakashi is often late for appointments because he of his frequent visits to the memorial where Obito's name is engraved, where he loses track of time. He once said that he lost everyone that was close to him. This has caused some reluctance to allow himself get attached to people or allow people get close to him. Despite this, he cares deeply for the members of his team and his friends.
(Tired) "*Sigh* "Time to get back to my book. I will see you all tomorrow."

Rock Lee is the epitome of hard work and determination.
For many years, this youth with little to no promise continued in his training to someday become a ninja--despite the fact that no one really believed he could ever succeed. He had no skill in controlling his life force (chakra), and therefore couldn't perform even the most basic of ninja techniques. Even his hand-to-hand combat skills were below average.
Yet, after training those hand-to-hand skills for years with heart and focus, Rock Lee has become one of the better known genin in Hidden Leaf Village. He only knows taijutsu (hand-to-hand), but his skills are considerably tough to handle...the speed his body is able to maintain is unnerving, as is his iron will to succeed.
Lee is the spitting image of his young sensei (Gai, the rival of Kakashi); he idolizes the man. His intensity and excitement with his training spread to all aspects of his life (which you can imagine makes him an interesting character to watch). His rosy red cheeks and large, round eyes give away whatever emotion he feels instantly.
An innocent and sweet kid at heart, Lee is on a team of three with a girl weapon specialist named Tenten, and a famed genius of a specialized hand-to-hand combat style, Hyuuga Neji. Neji's fatalistic nature and constant mockery of Lee reinforce the boy's determination to prove himself.
It is this determination that makes Rock Lee great. After years of being taunted by everyone, Lee is willing to destroy himself to prove one thing: that if a person is determined enough, they can overcome any trial.
Lee goes into a drunken frenzy whenever he takes even a small sip of sake. He basically can't have any ever since he ruined a restaurant at one point after the smallest sip. The whole entire event of being in the restaurant was with Gai and was meant as a celebration for Lee's accomplishment of Primary Lotus.
Rock Lee has another fighting style that is seen later on in the series (after the Fifth Hokage arrives). Lee ends up in a fight with Kimimaro and just as it seems hopeless for Lee to win, he drinks a so-called medicine given to him by Gai-sensai. A few seconds later Lee is drunker than Jiraiya at a frat party. At first Kimimaro couldn't figure out why he was having a hard time fighting Lee until he took a wiff of what was in the bottle: sake.
Gai explains to the Fifth Hokage that Lee knows the Drunken Fist Style. Apparently, Gai took his squad to a restaruant to celebrate and during that time Lee accidently drank Gai's sake instead of water. Lee then trashed the restaruant and when Gai woke up he and Neji tried to restrain him. Gai realized that he can secretly give Lee a bottle of sake in order to unleash his drunken fury.
Lee is also called "The Green Beast of the Leaf" by American fans, and called "The Green Beast of Konoha" by Japanese fans.

Guy believes that "hard work without believing in yourself is worthless", and as such trains by repeatedly jumping sideways and hitting mitts in an effort to better himself. Guy, and by extension Lee, lives his life by his own "My Rules" philosophy, which involves setting tougher goals for failure so something good comes of it. For example, he vowed to walk 500 laps around Konoha on his hands if he lost a contest with Kakashi, and proceeded to do so upon losing, even though people stopped paying attention eventually. Lee's willingness to train in the same manner as Guy seems to have caused him to surpass his master's stamina, as by the end of Part I Guy has difficulty keeping up with Lee, lamenting that he is not as youthful as he once was.
Guy is the self-proclaimed rival of Kakashi Hatake. Kakashi, however, is indifferent to their rivalry, which annoys Guy to no end. Guy randomly challenges Kakashi to contests of skill, and has a acquired a record of 50 wins and 49 losses in doing so. Given that the contests that make up this figure are so varied (ranging from Rock, Paper, Scissors to sumo-wrestling), this it is not much of an achievement on Guy's part. Nevertheless, Guy is proud of his record. In his rivalry with Kakashi, Guy has developed an effective counter against Sharingan users: by focusing on their feet, Guy can both predict the movements of the enemy and negate the Sharingan's necessity of having eye-contact. Currently, Guy is the only ninja who can use this technique.
Guy has many mannerisms unique to him in the series that are meant to be seen as corny and old fashioned, a reference to common clichés of "youth" (seishun) anime. He is best known for his "nice guy pose", which consists of giving a thumbs up, winking, and smiling with teeth so white they give the proverbial "ping". This action is often used by both Guy and Lee to indicate commitment to a statement they had just made, their highest form of a promise. Guy's teacher-student relationship with Lee also carries distinct attributes, such as when Guy will punch Lee for a slight infraction of a rule. After Guy assigns Lee an arduous training task as punishment, meant to recapture Lee's focus and discipline, the two may then burst into tears and embrace, in brief regret for the strong blow Lee was given.
(to Neji) "I was a failure when I was your age, but now I can even beat Kakashi, the elite genius. It's only a matter of time until Lee finally surpasses you!"

Outside of his initial feelings towards his clan, Neji has been shown to be extremely serious and mature for his age, and to have great self-control. In battle, he is able to stay relatively calm in most situations and carefully look at the situation at hand. As stated by Tsunade, Neji has excellent instincts, both on the battlefield and as a leader. When forced to make difficult decisions on missions, he shows himself able to make a decision through keen observation and analysis.
With this example of overcoming "destiny", as well as finding out the truth about his father's death soon afterwards, Neji abandoned the concept of inescapable fate. No longer bound by the idea that he was stuck at his current status, Neji resolved to become strong enough to never again lose a battle. To do so, he began putting more emphasis on working well with his team, and started to value a mission's successful completion and his team-mates' safety over his own betterment, even encouraging Rock Lee to continue pursuing his own dream. In addition, Neji began trying to remedy the estranged relations between himself and the main house members, most particularly by being kinder to his cousin Hinata Hyuga. His efforts seem to be effective, as he begins training with Hiashi, and, in Part II, even starts to wear traditional Hyūga robes.
