Pretty Cure/Glitter Force Max Heart Clip Dub project - VA
Project Overview
Type of group: Long commitment, Casual. This project will last for years because I expect to just casually do the edits when I have time then release them. Members can stay on for as long as they like I will kick inactives and such out. I will be following how Toei has a different voice actor for each Main Cure but support or villain characters can be applied for as many time as one likes. With that being said, support characters can upgrade to Precure characters if you haven't been one yet; there's like 60 of em and that's only counting the main ones.
Type of Dub: The dubbed will be localized but I will keep original naming or at least their meaning of things as much as possible. Introductions, Transformations, and Attacks will automatically be added to scenes to be dubbed upon first reveal but other scenes will have to be selected based off of importance to plot or if there is no plot points then just fun scenes. The monster's name will be localized so the meanings can be represented as decently as possible since they are a pun in Japanese. Each clip shouldn't be longer than 5-6 minutes and each episode can have more than one clip dubbed depending on plot or interest in a scene.
Software: Discord for easy, quick communication & Google Drive: Docs for Lines and Sheets for organization of group/releases. I love organizing things in sheets so be prepared o3o~
Audio Quality: It doesn't have to be high quality, but no headset mics. An average mic or even using a mobile device is fine as long as there's no audible sound being bounced back. Please use noise removal and try to set your audio somewhere between -12db to -6db. So far I'm the sole editor so any little bit of less work helps.
Release Frequency: Between One Episode a Year to One Clipisode a Month. If we somehow are ahead of schedule by like 5 Clips or something, I will do special releases on select dates based off of character's b-days. Type of Commitment Needed: This is suppose to be a stress free project so but I am easily excitable so I can continuously work on the project during my free time for a full week or get tired and need to rest for a full week/month; it really depends . If you are busy for any reason just says so on Discord on the #Vacation channel, just send a message when you are busy then send another message when you are officially back. I will tag people when they have lines for certain episodes. Afterwards keep track and record at your own pace by referring to the Work Progress sheet I will share out.
Franchise Info: Pretty Cure/Glitter Force is a magical girl series that is directed towards little girls and produced by Toei Animation. The series has been going on for 15 years now and has 16 seasons with over 700 episodes. It primarily depicts middle schoolers transforming into Pretty Cures (Italics because there are elementary schoolers, high schoolers, and even a grandma) after meeting one or multiple fairies, that tends to be the mascot of the series, then they fight forces of evil that basically has something to do with said fairies' world. So far only the 9th and 10th installment were dubbed by Saban under the name Glitter Force but has since had it's rights moved to Hasbro, while the first installment was dubbed by a studio in Canada. It's a very basic description but it also has a lot of heart at times which is why it's able to attract an older audience as well. You may watch the first installment subbed on Crunchyroll, the sound quality is bad but it's supporting the franchise..
Series Info: The first installment we will be clip dubbing is Pretty Cure Max Heart. It is a sequel to the original and introduces the third precure, Shiny Luminous, to the original two, Cure Black and Cure White. It takes place after the Dark King has been defeated and is reborn as a boy named Hikaru. He is taken care of by his minions who wish to see his resurrection. The series starts off with the Queen of Light splitting up her life, heart, and will into our world. The new precure Hikari represents the Life of the Queen and together with Cure Black, Nagisa, and Cure White ,Honoka, they will look for the 12 heartiels that represents the Queen's Will in order to restore the Queen of Light.
**Ep 1 is basically completed with SFX, afterwards it might take another 2 or more months for the next episode to be edited. Characters who appears in this episode is Nagisa, Honoka, Rina, Shiho, Anger, Mepple, Mipple, Pollun, Elder, Wisdom, and Seek.

Extra day for recording
I did have work today so I didn't get to see the auditions until late. I decided to push the Deadline back for another day til when I have the day off, but I am compiling a list of possible VA for each role and starting discussion on the candidates. Hi everyone! Thank you all for auditioning! I have decided to make and upload a video that gives a bit of the example of the lead characters. Since the team does feel that the acting doesn't seem quite right for a few of the lines. The video is just a cut of clips with some of the lines of the main characters with subs on who's line and which line number since the clips are in Japanese. I have also extended the deadline to the 13th of August.

Nagisa is one of the main characters and her alter ego is Cure Black. She's the Captain of the Lacrosse team at Verone Academy and the energetic one of the group. She is carefree and not really the type to think ahead. She does get angered easily if something annoys her and isn't against getting a bit physical in the process. She has a variety of emotions that are usually exaggerated so be prepared for those.
Pitch is medium, medium high with a clear voice. She usually speaks in a carefree tone.

Honoka is one of the main characters and her alter ego is Cure White. She's the President of the Science Club at Verone Academy and the smart one of the group. She's not particularly nerdy or shy, in retrospect she is quite willful at times. She is normally quite nice, but because of her serious and passionate nature she can be a bit forceful on those who show a lack of concern for something. This is however her way of caring for someone and wanting them to try their best at something.
Pitch is medium-high to high. Her voice is soft but not in a shy way. Her voice gives a kind feeling but has a bounce to it with conviction that stems from her passions.

Hikari is a first year student so she is about 2 years younger than Nagisa and Honoka. She is the Queen of Light's Life with the power to transform into Shiny Luminous with the help of Pollun. She is basically a normal middle schooler with a very mild-tempered attitude. She didn't have a life before taking the form she has now, so she is only just getting used to being a human. But she fit in quiet easily and is a very nice girl.
Pitch is medium-high to high. She is like Honoka and soft-spoken but even more so. She always sounds conservative when she speaks but it's a warm, comforting feeling.

Mepple is the mascot fairy to Nagisa so she can transform into Cure Black. He is in love with Mipple which she reciprocates and the two would usually act lovey dovey with each other. Mepple is spoiled in his own way and usually butt-heads with Nagisa, but they are very close and they understand each other quite well. He finds Pollun annoying because he always gets in the way of his time with Mipple.
His pitch can be medium-high. Just throw in a bit off arrogance to the way he talks

Mipple is the mascot fairy to Honoka so she can transform into Cure White. She is in love with Mepple which he reciprocates and the two would usually act lovey dovey with each other. Mipple is kind like Honoka and unlike Mepple who gets annoyed at Pollun, she gives in to him. There are times when she gets angry at Mepple though. She has a very nice relationship with Honoka and would worry about her if anything seems off.
Her pitch is High. She also has a bit of softness to her voice with comforting tones to the voice or a mother-like tone.

Pollun is the mascot fairy to Hikari. He is quite childish and would even cry and complain if something doesn't go his way. He always wants to play and would try to get people to play with him. He does mature later and becomes a dependable older brother to his little sister who appears later in the series.
Pitch is medium-high and higher. He does speak like a child due to his personality with a bit of naivety in his voice.

Original name is Seekun, I'm just simplifying all the fairies name to what they represent rather than a corruption of it that was in the original series.
She's one of the 12 Heartiels that represents the Queen's Will. She is the seeker so she is adventurous and curious. She'll be important throughout the series because she will help look for the other 11 Heartiels which will be cast at another time. She is in a sense like the leader of the 12 Heartiels so she is a bit more serious with her task than some of the other Heartiels.
In the original she has a high-pitched, innocent toned voice. You may be flexible but try to keep an innocent, inquisitive demeanor.
Ohh, Huh, Uh, Hun, Mmm. What is this? (She's observing a mirror)

Like Shiho she is a close friend of Nagisa and on the same Lacrosse team. She's more calm and cool-headed compared to Shiho though but she isn't quite or mellow. She likes to gossip especially about romances, boys, rumors, and even horoscopes. She's not the annoying character that just spreads rumors though. She's usually talking about such stuff with seriousness and interest in an informative matter.
Pitch is medium. She pretty much just normal so I would say just say the lines with the instructions provided.

He is a lackey monster who always appears and only says 1 phrase before being defeated. When he is defeated, he pops from a giant monster into small little stars that's runs away saying Sorry!
Pitch should be low with a growl, but when saying Sorry he sounds like he took in some helium.

Pitch is medium low. He's old so obviously make him sound elderly. He has a relaxed tone so just pretend you're soaking in a hot spring while saying his lines xD

Wisdom is the Guardian of the Prism Stones. He arrives on Earth with Elder to basically talk about plot points. He leaves after the 5th or so episode and probably won't return for lines until the very end or at all. He's gives of a mysterious vibe like a mysterious traveling fortune teller but is pretty much like the Elder in many ways.
Pitch is medium to medium low. I really don't know exactly what I want for his voice in English. The only image in my heads is a handsome mysterious traveling fortune teller that is ready to tell you your next plot point to continue a story. That is about all I got so be creative xD

Akane is a graduate of the Verone Academy that Nagisa, Honoka, and Hikari attends. She has a good relationship with Nagisa because she used to be the captain of the Lacrosse team. Now she runs a cafe truck that sells Takoyaki along with other goodies like Crepe and Ice Cream. She is passionate about her job and does it because she likes seeing her customers being happy after trying her food. She is strict when it comes to lacrosse and good at shouting orders, whether as a coach or for her cafe truck.
She has a medium pitch and is older compared to the other listed characters. She has a voice that shows that she does things her own way with confidence and conviction but also warm and welcoming to others. Basically like an older sister who has graduated college.
Oh yeah that’s right. Anyway she’s my, she is my… cousin! She is my cousin! (happy then confused then happy confident)
Since we are living together, she’s helps me out when she’s free. (Normal)

This little boy is the embodiment of the Dark King. He's not all that evil and in all honestly he barely talks as seen from the audition lines. He mostly laughs and makes reaction sounds. He's just a kid that likes to play while having big, scary bodyguards with him.
Pitch.. I can only say high because he's a little boy. Pretty carefree and really just wants to play, but his voice is quite soft-spoken when he actually says words though.

He's essentially Hikaru's nanny. He and the tall one are a pair that takes care of the kid. This one has more of a temper and has a squeakier voice.
Pitch is medium-high. In the original it's more raspy and squeaky but I'm honestly fine with whatever fits the character. This one has more confidence and authority over the tall one, but cowers in fear against the other main baddies.
Make sure to put him down gently on the bed so he doesn’t wake up again. (Whispering, commanding)

He is one of the 4 warriors of darkness who is protecting Hikaru so their King can be revived. His only goal is to revive the king and is generally the serious, brooding one out of the four but is normal in the fact that he can also be obviously troubled over certain things. It is noted that none of the four warriors really cares about Hikaru just the fact that he is the key to reviving the Dark King so they protect him however possible.
Pitch deep. He's like the leader of the group and is usually stern and commanding.
