Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back! - Casting Call | Pokémon Retranslated
Project Overview
Part of the "Pokémon Retranslated" project created by SwordGuy17, a fan-project hoping to re-dub and altogether re-translate the entire Pokémon franchise from start to finish (or at least to whatever's current at the time).
We hope to find voices for Skylar, Sweet and Umio (known in the original translation as Corey, Neesha and Fergus) that closely resembles the Japanese one in terms of attitude and tone, but we're open to different interpretations.
Please do at least 2 or 3 takes on each line.

Skyler was one of the few trainers who made it to New Island. He survived the storm and made the journey by flying on the back of his Pidgeott. Along with Sweet, Umio, Satoshi, and his friends, Skyler witnessed the revelation that Mewtwo was trying to destroy the world.

Sweet left Kanto Harbor on the back of her Dewgong despite Voyager's warnings. She braved the storm conditions and was one of the few Trainers to reach New Island. Sweet was one of the Trainers who battled Mewtwo.

Umio was one of the Pokémon Trainers who were able to make it through Mewtwo's storm and reach New Island, along with Satoshi, his friends, Sweet, and Skyler. He got there using his Gyarados. When Mewtwo revealed itself to be the one who invited all of the Trainers to New Island, Umio was the first to speak out against it, claiming that a Pokémon could not be a trainer.
