Project Overview
Mega Evolution. A powerful form of Pokemon evolution that is within Kalos region lore… Even though it also happened in Kanto… Some people think that Mega Evolution breaks the metagame. Some people wish for even more forms of evolution. There are so many questions left to be answered. Like, will Game Freak cease to give Mega Evolutions to Pokemon that are already overpowered, and give them to Pokemon who need them, like Dunsparce? Though many people compare Mega Evolution to Digimon. I think comparing the two is useless.
There are a few requirements you must meet in order to audition here.
1. You need to be able to emote.
2. You at least need a decent mic.
3. Be ready to re-record takes when needed.
4. You need to be able to perfom Foley (Foley being sound effects)
5. You should have access to Skype

Astrid is a character that only appears in the first episode and doesn't show much personality. (That does not mean you have to go monotone.) I really don't know what else to say about her...
Astrid: [Energetic] Okay. If I have to. Go, Absol!
Astrid: [Confident] Good thing I won’t lose. Absol! Dark Pulse!
Astrid: [Happy] Oooh~ Pretty colors~
Mairin is a clumsy girl with a very forceful attitude, often tripping over her own feet and believing Alain to be her boyfriend contrary to many objections (Alain included). She may appear to be a child, but she is actually a eighteen-year-old woman who suffers from Loli Syndrome. There is no known cure to this condition, and she often gets flustered whenever it's brought up.
I reccomend a somewhat mature voice to hint at her true age.
Mairin: [Happy] My names Mairin, and this is my partner, Chespie. The two of us started our Pokemon journey a few days ago. By the way, what’s your name?
Mairin: [Angry] Shut up! I’m a cute red-headed Japanese girl! Notice me!
Mairin: [Confused] Wait, am I seeing things? Is that a Shiny Charizard and an Absol with wings?
Chespie is Mairin's main Pokemon, guidance counselor, and only friend.
I reccomend a cute, child-like voice for this purely non-speaking role.
Chespie: *Happy Chespie sound*
Chespie: *Concerned Chespie sound*
Chespie: *Disappointed Chespie sound*
Steven Stone is a man who has a major obsession with stones. Due to the radiant looks that he was born with, he was elected Vice President of The Society of Bishonen, or Bishie Society for short, second only to Wallace in his skin-tight wetsuit. He is an effeminate man that is popular for being both attractive and the Hoenn League Champion in Hoenn and beyond.
I recommend giving him the voice of a smooth lower tenor.
Steven Stone: [Neutral] Excuse me, sir. But are you Alain?
Steven Stone: [Dramatic] As the Vice President of the Bishie Society, I dub thee an honorary member!
Steven Stone: [Casual] Tia? Yeah, she is facing rough times right now. That's what happens when you insist on cuddling a Garchomp with Rough Skin.
Cynthia is a young woman with a facination for mythology and archeology, leaving Steven to collect the stones. She is very proud of herself, tends to put on a more composed facade when working as the Sinnoh League Champion. When she isn't working, she acts more like a teenage girl.
(Though she does not acually appear in the Mega Evolution Special, she will appear in this abridged series for a running gag.)
I recommend her voice to be more of an Alto, something more mature to fit with her appearance.
Cynthia: [Angry] Steven! Where are you!? I've been waiting for over an hour now! I swear, I'll break your entire stone collection if you're not here in five minutes.
Cynthia: [Excited] I can't remember the last time I was put in a corner like this!
Cynthia: [Glad] How terrific to see you again! I've got to tell you... My Pokémon are excited to battle yours. Would you care to be my opponent?
Alain is a stoic young man that works for Lysandre. Being the main protagonist, he will have the most lines, contrary to him being stoic. Be prepared for a lot of deadpan.
His name is pronounced Uh-Lahn. But everyone calls him "Alan" or "Elaine". The only reason why he works for Lysandre is because he can pronounce Alain's name correctly.
Alain: [Deadpan] Alright, you crossed my line of sight. That means we have to battle now, right?
Alain: [Cocky] Alright, here’s the deal. Loser has to pay for reforestation.
Alain: [Deadpan] Mairin, are you trying to act cute by falling down all the time?
Dragon Tamer Louis is another one-shot character that only shows personality in his limited amount of actions. He is a large, gruff man with a parasol, so I suggest a deep, gruff voice to go with it.
Dragon Tamer Louis: [Confident] I am Dragon Tamer Louis, and my Mega Garchomp challenges you to a battle!
Dragon Tamer Louis: [Angry] Tch, you and your stupid little fesshin’ assessory is no match for my Gare-champ!
Dragon Tamer Louis: [Over-the-top Despair] No! How did you defeat my Mega Garchomp!?
Malva is a woman that somehow balances being part of a crime cyndicate, being a newscaster, and being part of the Kalos Elite Four.
I recommend her voice to be more of an Alto, something more mature to fit with her appearance.
Malva: [Sultry] Did you miss me, honey~?
Malva: [Confused] A giant rock? What are you going to do with a giant rock?
Malva: [Sultry] *Mischievous giggle* My Houndoom has Flash Fire. Flames are simply meals for this little one.
