Persona 4 Fandub
Project Overview
This is the sister dub to go hand-in-hand with my Persona 3 dub (guys if you didn’t notice the hint of a mass persona dub happening in Igor’s lines you are blind!) anyway on to the project! This will be a fandub of the game! So lots of content and we will be doing all the social links because it’s fun!
Yu Narukami is a high-school student who moved into the countryside from the city for a year. During his year-long stay, he becomes involved in investigating mysterious murders while harnessing the power of summoning Persona. At school, he quickly becomes friends with Yosuke Hanamura, the somewhat-clumsy son of the manager of the local Junes megastore; Chie Satonaka, an energetic girl with a strong interest in martial arts; and Yukiko Amagi, a calm and refined girl who helps out at her family's inn. A few days into the game, the protagonist, Yosuke, and Chie follow the "Midnight Channel" rumor, which leads them to discover the TV World and meet Teddie, a friendly creature that appears as a hollow bear costume. Using Personas, the students form an Investigation Team to investigate the connection between the TV world and the murders, and possibly capture the culprit. As the game progresses, the group gains new members, including: Kanji Tatsumi, a male delinquent who has a talent for feminine hobbies; Rise Kujikawa, a former teen idol trying to find her identity who moves to Inaba as a transfer student; and Naoto Shirogane, a young female detective investigating the case with the local police who wears masculine clothing and presents herself as male due to fear of rejection.

Due to a delay in the cast the second script has been completed and those characters have been added to the casting call!
(Like in my p3 auditions, if you are cast as Igor, you will be the Igor in both dubs, so he’ll have a nice amount of lines to do~)
While presenting himself as a mere servant of Philemon, Igor seems to be far more than this. He was originally a doll handmade by a mysterious person, who became alive thanks to a magic ritual. Because of that, Igor ponders upon the question of whether he is merely a doll or perhaps even human. Thus, he shows an interest in human beings. Further on, he creates Margaret, Elizabeth, Theodore, and Lavenza, as assistants who pursue similar questions in life to assist him in the Velvet Room.
Despite his rather striking appearance, Igor bears a calm and courteous demeanor while speaking with the protagonists. Though the well-being of the protagonists is important to him, he reserves the disclosure of certain information for more "timely" points in the story. During conversations concerning the protagonists’ actions, Igor opts for rather cryptic comments that tend to foreshadow coming events and possibly the outcome of the story as a whole, regardless of whether or not those comments are at the time understood (which may be his intent). This suggests that Igor may have near-omniscience, though by his own admission, there are things that even he can't foresee.

(Welcoming, sing-song like) Welcome to the Velvet Room.
(Monologue) My name is Igor… i am delighted to make your acquaintance.
This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter…
It is a room that only those who are bound by a “contract” may enter…
It may be that such a fate awaits you in the near future.
Now then… why don’t you introduce yourself…?
Description:
The silent protagonist of the series! His personality is ultimately based on the player's actions and decisions. His dialogue choices make him seem very neutral, as opposed to the protagonists of Persona 3, and includes some limited sense of humor along with occasional flirtatious or silly behavior. Overall, he is portrayed through his dialogue options as having a more extrovert personality than the Persona 3 protagonist. He seems to have a strong moral compass as there are several dialogue options that call out someone doing wrong or being mean. In one case, when asked to stay and help clean the basketball court, the options being either to stay or to "be an ass and leave," indicating an inclination to the former. While the game portrays the protagonist as a calm and neutral individual, one scenes shows him to be also aggressive as well. In the events regarding the decision to kill Namatame, if the player made all the correct choices, the dialogue choice "Calm the hell down!" will be shown. This shows that, while the protagonist is calm and decisive, he has limits as to how much tolerance he has. In addition, he hardly ever shows this, as shown when the Investigation Team was surprised by his outburst at Yosuke.

(Determined) People can do it. As long as they can open their eyes and look around, they'll see it. They'll see the truth!
(Explaining) My friends faced their own Shadows and came out stronger for it, but I never met mine. To make up for it, though, I've had my friends to help me mature. It's my companions that I draw strength from in all of this.
because he is a silent protagonist, most of his lines are going to be adlib based, so you are allowed to freestyle!

(makes some kind of appearance in p3 but it sounds minor so this shouldn’t be concerning)
HAS A SOCIAL LINK
Description:
Margaret is a professional and quiet individual, and significantly more mature than her younger siblings Elizabeth, Theodore and possibly Lavenza, although she shares Elizabeth's sense of humor. However, she does show an angry side to her in Persona Q when Theodore accidentally gets her hair wet. She is highly concerned about the relationship Elizabeth established with the protagonist of Persona 3, as she decided to leave the Velvet Room in order to find a way to rescue him from his fate. This also makes it clear that Margaret is highly loyal to her master Igor.

(Matter-of-fact) Truth is a thing which only appears to those who have observed, considered, and made a choice. At the end of the path you chose lies the truth... Believe in it, and continue without faltering.
(Matter-of-fate, dismissive) My name is Margaret.
I am here to accompany you through your journey.
We shall attend to the details another time.
JUSTICE SOCIAL LINK
Description:
Nanako is a mature and kind person for a girl her age though has moments of childish innocence such as when she wonders if the weather reporter "decides" the weather. Her refreshingly honest way of thinking and speaking is noted by many characters in the series. She is selfless and tries her best not to hurt anyone's feelings, such as when she stomached all three of the omelets made by the Investigation Team girls and stated that they were all good, despite clearly having some distaste to them. She tends to be shy around strangers, but becomes friendly once she warms up to them. She is quite responsible and reliable, and has handled a lot of housework, such as cooking, doing the dishes and laundry in her home ever since her mother passed away. Dojima notes that she resembles her late mother not only in appearance, but also in personality.
Nanako most notable quirk is her love for Junes, in both singing its slogan and in visiting their Inaba branch with her family and friends. Even when given the choice to pick a location for a vacation, her go to answer is always Junes. She also idolizes several famous people starting with Rise Kujikawa as well as her "Risette" character, she becomes a fan of Marie, the new Inaba Weather Girl, and even has adopted Marie's catchphrase.

(Singing the commercial song) Every day's great at your Junes!
(Concerned) … are you okay?
Did you get carsick?
You don’t look too good…(Explaining) He… investigates stuff.
Like crime scenes.

Hierophant Social Link
Description:
Living alone with his daughter, Dojima is shown to be a hard working detective, although he often becomes a workaholic. Adachi notes that he is a particularly harsh supervisor to him, but Dojima is a seasoned detective and takes his job seriously and is merely training Adachi for their line of work. While he loves his daughter, he has difficulty being a father to her, especially in wake of his wife's death, whom he states that Nanako resembles in both appearance and personality. His wife's death weighs on him heavily and he is obsessed with catching her killer, even at the expense of spending time with his daughter. By the end of the story, Dojima has fully recognized the protagonist as an important member of his family and openly welcomes him back into his home whenever he comes to visit.

(Touching, realization) This town is my town. It's the place where you and Nanako live. That's why I'm gonna live on, protecting this place. As a detective... as a father.
(Meeting for the first time in years) Well, you’re more handsome in person than in your photo.
Welcome to Inaba.
I’m Ryotaro Dojima.
I’ll be looking after you.
Let’s see… I’m your mother’s younger brother… and that about sums it up.(Dad joke) You probably don’t remember, but we’ve met.
I’ve changed your diapers before, you know.
Aeon Social Link
Description:
When Marie is first met, she seems to be a very cold and antisocial individual. She is sullen, cranky, sarcastic, irritable, very foul-mouthed and often prone to mood swings. She will not hesitate to voice out her opinion or express her thoughts, regardless of how it would make everyone feel. The team is also weirded out when she politely apologizes, commenting that she never seemed like the type who would say sorry.
However, as the protagonist proceeds in her Social Link, it becomes apparent that her "lack of emotion" is basically just her way to deal with her own shyness, insecurity and naïveté. Without memories, Marie is unaware of many aspects of the world and modern conveniences, such as not knowing what an electric outlet is (calling it an eclectic loutwit). She has an innocent side as well. This is also why she wants the protagonist to show her Inaba: She wants to learn about the world and who she really is.
Voice type: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ekrj4CMwac
(Tsundere, but genuine) You're going to make new memories with me, right?
(Pleading, upset) That's why...! That's why I left! Because there's no point in seeing you...! We'll just hurt each other! ...It's okay. It's all okay. I've already made enough memories of my own... Fun... Happy... Memories... If you're not going to leave now, then I'll have to make you leave by force. Please, just understand...
(Embarrassed) shutupIhateyouyoustupidjer
(This is a very unusual character as i need both a masculine and feminine voice, I can cast two different voice if need be but if you can do both that’s a bonus)
Description:
In the events of True Ending, the attendant is revealed to be the human form of Izanami after being confronted by the protagonist who retraced his steps of his first day in Inaba. Upon the attendant's reveal of being the human avatar of Izanami, she transforms into her humanoid form of Izanami, where she bears a red gleam within her eyes, and is portrayed as a woman dressed in a draping white robe. Seeing the potential in the protagonist, the attendant decided to awaken the protagonist's talents of invoking Personas via their handshake. The gas attendant also mentions that the protagonist was not the only one she awakened, many others, such as Tohru Adachi, and Taro Namatame have been awakened by her as well. It is also revealed there that the gas attendant herself was the very person to spread the urban legend of the Midnight Channel, as the Midnight Channel projects images within humanity's desire, she hopes that, through the Midnight Channel, she would come to understand humanity's wishes better.

(Talking to a child) It’s in the back, to your left.
You know which way’s left?
The side you don’t hold your chopsticks in.(Making small talk) Does it surprise a city boy to see how little there is out here?
There’s so little to do, I’m sure you’ll get bored fast.
You’ll either be hanging out with your friends or doing part-time jobs.
Speaking of which, we’re actually looking for part-time help right now.
(In Golden he appears early in the story disguised as an extra 🤷♀️ found out by mistake, who would have guessed. The same male voice as the gas attendant so feel free to scroll up and try for both roles!)
Hanged man Social Link
Description:
Naoki can't move forward from the death of his older sister, Saki. He is emotionally distant and numb to his classmates and neighbors due to being pitied and gossiped about respectively. At times, he is unsure if what he is doing in school is right or wrong due to his classmates lacking the heart to fault him for his actions due to his family situation. He hated Yosuke (possibly because he encouraged Saki to work for Junes) and therefore the protagonist for being friends with Yosuke.
However, once the protagonist starts talking to him, he appreciates how the protagonist listens to what he has to say and doesn't force advice on him. He eventually feels grateful to the protagonist for helping him to move forward with his life and tosses his hatred for him and Yosuke aside.

(Realization) There's a river separating us... Sis is gone, and I'm still here. Sis has crossed on over to the other bank, and I'm still on this one... No matter how much I cry or piss my pants, I know Sis isn't coming back...
Outrage) WHAT!?
No, it wasn’t leftovers!
I was making sure to save it for later!(Disappointment) I was really looking forward to eating it…
(Like Naoki, Saki in Golden shows up early disguised as an extra)
Description:
Much of Saki's personality is unknown and left in ambiguity as she is given little screen time, and she dies early in Persona 4 so her true feelings are unknown because she is deceased and unable to speak for herself, so the player is left to rely on comments from her co-worker Yosuke Hanamura and her brother Naoki Konishi about her. Naoki, however, sees her as a playful yet surprisingly mature individual, and after coming to terms with his feelings, realizes that he misses her dearly.
At first, she seems like a kind person that was nice and supportive to Yosuke. However, it is revealed that she was actually annoyed with Yosuke and quite stressed about her life, with a lot of pent-up angst and a desire to get away from it all. It is also revealed that she believed her family, friends, and neighbors had resented her all along because she worked at Junes, the giant store that was slowly driving her family's liquor shop out of business.

(Her true feelings inside, no one can hear it) Who cares about Junes, anyway? Because of that store, our business is ruined, my parents hate me, the neighbors talk behind my back... I wish everything would just disappear.
(Meeting Yosuke, possible butt kissing) Parents are parents. You're you...
(Brushing it off as if it unimportant) Really?
Sorry about that.
Well, I’m going to work.
See ya.

Chie has strong sense of justice and a fierce desire to protect others. She is known to defend classmates, children, and strangers from being threatened and attacked by local delinquents. Even when outnumbered, she does not hesitate to intervene and speak out. Though reckless in putting herself into dangerous situations, she is willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of others; when a delinquent threatened her loved ones, Chie gave him the opportunity to hit her freely in exchange for leaving everyone else alone. Chie wants to protect Yukiko and the protagonist most of all, and they serve as strong motivators in her wanting to become stronger, constantly training her kung-fu moves and challenging herself physically. Though nominally fearless, Chie has some specific childish fears: she is terrified of ghost stories, thunder, locusts (and possibly other insects), and being in the dark.
Chie's biggest insecurity is her femininity, which is one aspect of her unhealthy relationship with Yukiko in which both of them are secretly guilty of hiding their true feelings from one another. After years of being with Yukiko who is treated as wealthier, more popular, scoring higher grades in school and having more male admirers, Chie gradually develops an inferiority complex in comparing herself to Yukiko and is jealous of all the male attention Yukiko receives. Chie's brash personality seems to makes it hard for boys to approach her romantically despite the fact that some students, including sports captain Kou Ichijo, secretly find her attractive. As a result she comes to believe herself to be undesirable, especially compared to Yukiko. This causes her to derive satisfaction from Yukiko's need to rely on her for confidence and support at the beginning of the game.

(Speech before her persona awakened) The people back then, the things they did, their culture... it's all connected, and it's tied to me too. It's not just something that happened a long time ago in a faraway country. Real people laughed, cried, and... died there.
(Determined) You don't know SHIT about how I feel! Yukiko might DIE from this, for crying out loud! I'm going, and that's that!
(Awakened) Oh, and it's new, so it's clean! It makes a matching pair with mine. Hahaha... ...I think this "power" of mine is what I wanted all along. The power to protect everyone... I understand now. I'm not supposed to use it to become more self-reliant... I'm suppose to use this power to protect people... Yukiko, my friends, my family, this town... and you.
Morooka also appears to have a grudge against women as well as the protagonist. He treats his students rudely, and places the protagonist on his "Shit List" within the first few minutes of meeting him. When the protagonist tries to ask about the information on joining clubs, Morooka instantly judges the protagonist's motive for joining clubs as to meet girls.
Voice Type: http://youtu.be/VzMLX_zV9Ek
(Aggressive in the King Moron Style) Now listen up! This town is miles away from your big city of perverts and assholes, in more ways than one. You better not even think of getting involved with the girls here, let alone abusing them! But what do I know... it's not like the old days. Even here, kids grow up so damn fast. Every time I turn my back, you're fooling around on those damn phones, checking your life-journals and your my-places...
He has major creep factor so you can be as creepy as you want to be with his stalker tendencies...
Mitsuo is a teenager who suffers from psychological issues. He has poor self-esteem due to ridicule for his appearance, and in turn his social isolation and lack of friends. This makes him self-centered, delusional, attention-dependent and aggressive. Mitsuo is immature, and often throws tantrums if something upsets him, such as tripping over a garbage bag or being rejected by Yukiko. If anyone tries to confront him about his life's emptiness, having no friends or accomplishments, he lashes out into a state of anger and ignorance. Although he is so often alone and looked down upon, Mitsuo has an extreme need for attention, whether it be positive or negative.

(Confronting his shadow, angry or aggressive) What...? What's that supposed to mean!? I'm... I'm not nothing...
(Unusual confidence) You’re Yuki, right?
(Nervousness going into emptiness) Y-you want to go hang out somewhere?
