Opossum!
Project Overview
Opossum! is an animated miniseries that follows the life of Blake, an anxious opossum just trying to make it through university. Follow them and their friends through all their misadventures in the bustling city of San Francisco!
One of my big goals with the series is to bring light to my experience with anxiety in a silly way with silly little animals! I truly want other people to be able to visualize what people like me go through on a day-to-day basis, and how we overcome it!
This is my first time attempting something like this, so bear with me as I figure out the ropes.
Making my own series based on my characters has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so excited to finally be doing it! It’s still in the early stages, so everything you currently see could be very different by the time production gets going!

Brief character bio: Blake is an 18-year-old opossum who attends UCSF and is majoring in game design! They’re lesbian, genderfluid, and have severe anxiety. She was adopted after her adoptive mother found her in a garbage can. They’ve endured bullying at every grade level and hope that college will finally be different. They’re Afro-Latino coded.
Info about their voice: Blake’s headcanon voice is Dipper from gravity falls. (Click here to get a sense of what Dipper sounds like.) They always sound worried, are pretty soft-spoken, and have many voice cracks. He also stutters a bunch.
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: I’d preferably want their voice actor to be a queer person who’s either black, Latinx, mixed, or another POC as it reflects their character, but it's not required! It is also highly preferred that you can speak at least a little bit of Spanish! (Preferably Mexican Spanish)

Brief character bio: Rowan is a house crow/alligator demon hybrid exchange student from New Zealand! He's Blake’s roommate and closest friend. He loves partying and girls, what more could a guy need? He’s that one guy that knows everyone. Like Blake, he’s majoring in game design. He's 19 in half-demon years (38).
Info about his voice: His headcanon voice is Antwan from Free Guy. (click here to get a sense of what his voice sounds like). He has a New Zealander accent. He’s also mixed/black coded!
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: I’d prefer a black VA or at least a POC! You don't have to be from New Zealand, but be able to at least somewhat mimic the accent!

Brief character bio: Saffron is a 20-year-old Bengal tiger who attends UCLA with Blake! She’s one of Rowan’s friends and Blake’s main love interest. She’s a sapphic transgender woman. She’s majoring in biology and really loves plants. Saffron is Indian/South Asian coded.
Info about her voice: Her headcanon voice is Cerise Hood from Ever After High. (click here to get a sense of what she sounds like). She has a soft and raspy-ish voice. Despite this, your voice does not have to be “feminine” to voice her! If you’re a trans gal with a deeper voice you can still audition for her ^^
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: Just like Blake, I’d want a voice actor that reflects her race and queerness! I will highly favor transfem VAs over cis ones.

Brief character bio: She's a 20-year-old Ermine, one of Rowan’s friends and Meghan’s girlfriend! Goofy and carefree, just like Rowan she loves to have fun. Vivian is majoring in automotive technology. She’s Chinese American coded.
Info about her voice: Her headcanon voice is Wendy from Gravity Falls. (click here to get a sense of what she sounds like). She’d probably sound something like your typical California girl lmao.
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: I’d rather have a VA that reflects her race, but it isn't required. She's also pansexual, so a VA that shares her sexuality would be preferred!

Brief character bio: Meghan is a 23-cycle (11,500 year) old jaguar demon straight from the underworld. She doesn’t actually attend UCSF and only goes there to visit her girlfriend, Hanako. Rowan considers her his friend, but it's dubious to say she feels the same. Everyone is scared of her due to her stoic nature, and humongous build. She’s very quiet and reserved and does not take crap from anyone.
Info about her voice: Her headcanon voices are Jasper from Steven Universe and Ramona Badwolf from Ever After High. She speaks in a very monotone and bored manner, and almost always sounds irritated.
What I'm looking for in a voice actor: Anyone can voice her, though someone who shares her sexuality (bisexual) would be preferable! Just try to fit her voice description as best you can.
