Against the Currents is a YA LGBTQ romance manga project about the curious and ambitious high schooler Mayoko Tetsuya and the cheery, confident Aiya Himawari who are both striving to answer the all-too-painful question of: "What the *** am I gonna do with my life?".
Against the Currents' main story is still a work in development, this project is a ONE-SHOT including the MAIN CHARACTERS of this story. This project is a COMIC DUB/MANGA DUB of it, so we just need voice actors.
We only need Mayoko Tetsuya's voice for this one shot, but feel free to send a submission for Yoshiki Kurasagi and Background Characters so i can reach out to you in case i make any new projects with them.

Mayoko Tetsuya is a curious and ambitious highschooler. Albeit talented academically and aspires to be an architect, she is not entirely confident about what she wants to be or do after graduation. This has begun to take a toll on her, especially since she's entering her last year of high-school.
She has a medium-low FEMALE voice and should sound androgynous or boyish.
Try to have as little noise as possible, but if you cant do that, its okay :)
[Judging, Snarky, Sarcastically] "Yeah Yoshiki, you should definitely take steroids. It's not like youre in high-school and still going through puberty."
[Curious, Enthusiastic] "So you know somebody? What's her name? What's she like? "
[Shocked, Surprised] "EEEEHHHH??????!!!!!!!"
Aiya Himawari is a bold and empathetic high schooler who recently transferred to Edogawa High School. She makes friends very easily with her charm and takes pleasure in helping others. She is Mayoko's love interest and is not entirely sure of her sexuality.
Aiya Himawari should have a Medium-High FEMALE voice. Bubbly and Soothing.
Note: We already have a voice actor in mind but I'd like to have her role reopened to have more options.
[Friendly, Casual] "Yesterday's Biology homework wasn't too difficult but that doesn't mean you should just, you know, take it for granted"
[Frustrated] "Oh God, why did I say that in front of her... [under her breath] God, I hate myself.
[Casual] "Mayoko!~ Heya! Your friend Yoshiki told me about you."
Yoshiki Kurasagi is a sporty and high strung highschooler, best friend of Mayoko Tetsuya and have been since middle school.
Yoshiki Kurasagi doesnt think much about what he wants to do after high school, let alone turning in his homework. He's well known among his peers in school and has a reputation for being competitive.
Yoshiki Kurasagi should have a Medium-Low MALE voice. Brash but warm. You get the idea. TROPEY.

[Warmly, Friendly] "Hey! You must be new around here! The name's Yoshiki. Yeah, I know. Yoshi, Mario, yada yada."
