One Piece Manga Fandub

Although we are currently doing the video editing ourselves, with the amount of work we are going to be producing going forward we are very open to having help with the editing. Because of the nature of the project, we aren't able to provide compensation for this role either unfortunately, but if you are interested in gaining more experience and credits to your name, or just love the content and would like to work on a project for fun, we would love to hear from you!
The editing for the manga's is going to be fairly simple, just lots of transitions and words loading as speech is being overlaid. As well as inputting the audio tracks into the video as well obviously. There will also be an opening theme song that will be played at the beginning of each episode, but once that's produced the first time there won't be a new one till the next theme comes in down the road.  Any questions please let me know!

Nami is the Straw Hat's navigator and one of the smartest members of the crew. She absolutely loves money and started out stealing from pirates, including the Straw Hats, which earned her the nick name the Cat Burglar. Nami starts out absolutely despising pirates and has no problem betraying them. Luffy shows her that not all pirates are evil though and ends up saving her, changing her view on things.

Nami has the first very emotional arc of the series where you see all the trauma she's gone through and she learns what true friends really are. Nami's emotions range kind of all over the place, from extremely confident, to angry and yelling, to broken and crying and pretty much everywhere in between so she will require someone who is capable of emoting comfortably.

Usopp is the Straw Hat's sharpshooter and also a professional liar. He has a lot of character and ranges from pretending to be tough and cocky to one of the biggest cowards. He does go through a lot of growth as the story progresses and we would like to have someone that can grow with him.

He is a fairly goofy character and a bit of the comic relief in some more serious areas of the story but also does have some extremely serious moments as well so he will require a more dynamic actor.

Sanji is one of the strongest fighters on the Straw Hat's crew and also their chef. He absolutely loves women and constantly butts heads with Zoro. He would do absolutely anything for a woman and is constantly doting over Nami, and later Robin as well. He is the most suave member of the crew but can turn on a dime to furiously yelling, usually at Zoro. 

He never fights with his hands, but is deadly with his kicks. He is the first member to go into any backstory about and explains why he is the way he is now when it comes to food. He does not care who someone is, friend or foe, if they are hungry, he will feed them period.

Coby is a weakling at the beginning of the story who wants to become a marine but doesn't have the courage to do so. He starts the story off as a cabin boy on the pirate Alvida's ship and is too scared to try and leave until he meets Luffy. Through the time he spends with Luffy in the first volume he grows a lot and goes from a super anxious and scared kid to someone who is determined to follow his dream no matter what.

Coby changes significantly later on in the series and becomes a very strong and dependable marine. There is a chance that we may have to recast him later on if the VA cast isn't able to do both his weaker voice and when he becomes stronger because they are quite different. If you are able to do both voices though feel free to do a take of a line or two with his future voice as well, since we would like to be able to keep the same person throughout.

Buggy is probably the most reoccuring rival pirate in the series and one of the first that Luffy fights. He is also the first person that Luffy encounters that has a devil fruit power like him. 

Buggy is a clown and has the chop chop power which allows his body to separate into multiple pieces at his will. He is considered to be a strong and terrifying pirate in the East Blue and is the first real fight that takes place in the manga. Buggy was also crew mates with Shanks when they were apprentice pirates and has a vast history with him. 

Buggy reappears throughout the entire series at various points and has some pretty major roles in a few different arcs. Although he does go for large sections without being shown. We would like to have the same voice actor cast to be able to stay on long term and continue to voice Buggy going forward.

Buggy is a very eccentric character with a lot of personality and we would really like to find someone who can really capture his character.

Mohji is one of Buggy's right hand men, also known as the beast tamer. He is always with his trusty lion Richie. He appears cold and cruel at the beginning as well but later on is shown he's not nearly as dangerous as he lets on.

Cabaji is one of Buggy's right hand men. He is the acrobatic swordsman. He serves as Zoro's first actual fight of the series, although it is still very one sided. Cabaji if very calm and cocky at first but becomes frustrated as the battle progresses.
He is also a reoccurring character as part of Buggy's crew.

Garp is Luffy's grandfather and a Vice Admiral in the marines. He gives Luffy a lot of tough love and has fists you don't want to mess with. He regularly would hit Luffy over the head when he would upset him. He also throws cannon balls like they've been actually shot from a cannon. 

He doesn't actually appear in the series for a little bit but he has small roles throughout but his role gets bigger later on in the series. I was not actually going to list him yet till the casting call but he also appears in one of the one shots which was an alternate version of the Romance Dawn chapter that we will also be putting out, so I am looking for his role sooner than planned. So the last 3 lines are from that one shot and not the canon One Piece.

Garp may be extremely strong but he is also definitely Luffy's grandpa, he can be completely goofy just like him and even just falls asleep right in the middle of conversations sometimes.

Klahadore, previously Captain Kuro, is a strategical mastermind. He faked his death as the captain of the Kuro pirates so that he could implant himself into Kaya, a young heiress' life and gain her absolute trust so he could eventually have her killed and take her fortune. He is an extremely cold and calculating villain, being willing to wait years to be able to complete his plan. 

He killed her parents and became her butler, caring for her for years to the point she trusted him over almost everyone else. He is completely heartless and does not care at all about anyone else, even his own crew. Going so far as to slaughter members of his crew just to try and defeat Luffy. When his plans go off the rails he does not deal with it well and begins to snap, losing his calm and collected composer.

Jango is a very odd character and somewhat considered the secondary antagonist in Syrup Village. He is a hypnotist, but although he's good at hypnotizing other people, he has a tendency to hypnotize himself at the same time. He becomes Captain of the Black Cat Pirates after Kuro fakes his death and leads them on the charge on the village. 

Other than his character being inherently odd to begin with, he changes from a villain to a member of the marines later on. He doesn't have a large role later on but he does reappear randomly after his main arc.

Captain Morgan is the tyrant marine captain that watches over the town where we first meet Zoro. Although being a marine, the entire town and all the marines are terrified of him as he is a ruthless and unforgiving captain. He even goes to kill one of his own marines in cold blood for accidently scratching his statue of himself.

He is Helmeppo's father and doesn't even care about his own son, and thinks he's worthless and not worth his time. He is the first villain that Luffy and Zoro fight together, which is what inspires Zoro to join him.

Pepper is a young child and one of Usopp's pirates in his home town. Him and his 2 best friends follow Usopp everywhere and are even willing to throw themselves into the battle to make their captain proud.

Patty is one of the head cooks at the Baratie' where Sanji comes from. He is big and intimidating but can also be sickeningly sweet and rude at the same time to the customers. He looks at things much differently than Sanji and wants the restaurant to run properly so if someone doesn't have money then they don't eat period.

Carne is one of the top Chef's at the Baratie' and like Patty has a very business way of looking at things. He doesn't like the way Sanji acts or the way he does things around the restaurant. He would fight to the end to defend the restaurant though and fights along side Patty throughout the arc.

Boodle is the mayor of the town that Buggy takes over and is determined to fight to save his town that he built from the ground up at any cost. He is willing to give his life to save the town, although Luffy is not as ok with that. He tries to go into battle but is knocked unconscious missing the entire thing.

Sham is one of the Meowban Brothers, and serves as Zoro's main opponent during the fight with the Black Cat Pirates. He uses his claws and lanky, cat like body to attack with great speed and stealth.

Butchi is one of the Meowban brothers and serves as the second half of Zoro's main battle in the Black Cat Pirates arc. He is extremely large and uses his large size to crush his enemies, being able to split the ground from some of his attacks. He becomes hypnotized at one point to increase his strength ten fold and pretty much seems to completely go out of control.

Fullbody is a leuitenant in the marines and extremely arrogant and full of himself. He takes his date to the restaurant Sanji is at and tries impressing her by showing off, only to be embarassed by Sanji and freaks out. His role serves to introduce the restaurant, Sanji and his character and start off the new arc. 

He does have minor roles down the line with a few small appearances but this is the main arc he appears in.

Merry is Kaya's personal butler and loyal servant. He regards her care and safety as his top priority over everything else. He is also the one who designs the Straw Hat's ship, the Going Merry and gifts it to them as a thank you for saving Kaya and the town.

Merry is attacked by Klahadore and somehow manages to survive, allowing him to inform Kaya of Klahadore's plans. He is a very friendly and upbeat person.

Being a manga about pirates, there's obviously a lot of different pirate crews. Rather than casting multiple people for every single crew and having them either be done or sit around after waiting forever, I'd like to cast a few different people to give some extra range and have those people designated to do the different pirates from all the different random crews. So we will be picking a few people and casting them as the extra pirates.

Because this role will include so many different random characters, if you can show your different range and try and do different voices for as many of the lines as you're able to so we can get a good idea of your range that would be great. Feel free to experiment with emotions with them since the pirates will range in age, strength, temperament etc. 

There are a lot of various marines throughout the series, and although there are some with more major roles, the majority of them are extras and in some chapters there is a lot of them. We would like to cast a few people that have some range to be able to voice multiple marines in the chapters they appear in, to keep them all from sounding too similar. 

They range in age as well as professionalism, strength and courage so feel free to play around with some different voices to give us an idea of the range you can do.

There are a huge amount of extras in this series and so we will be needing a few people with some range to be able to cover a lot of the extra people. We need both males and females but there is definitely more male extras however. We will be casting multiple people for this role to decrease all of the extras from beginning to sound too similar. 

This role will be covering all random extras that aren't included under marines or pirates, such as towns people, bar patrons, chefs etc. So feel free to show off your range and do different voices and characters with as many of the lines are you can. The more range we can have amongst the extras the better.

There are various animals and sea creatures throughout the series and we would like to have one or two people that can do a variety of different animal sounds to cover them. 

Some of the creatures at this point are a dog, a giant sea king, a lion, and some random odd animals.

Zeff is the head chef at the Baratie' and although him and Sanji butt heads constantly, they care deeply for each other and have a very strong bond because of their history together. Zeff saved Sanji's life because he has the same dream as him that he was never able to achieve. He becomes the only father figure Sanji has ever had.

Sanji feels indebted to him and refuses to leave but Zeff forces him to go chase his dream. He was once a fearless pirate but because of Sanji he was forced to give up the life of a pirate and decided to start his own sea restaurant after but of them nearly starved to death stranded at sea.

Don Krieg is the next major antagonist of the series, and the most ruthless and cruel yet. He believes strength comes from not just power but the strength of the weapons and tools at your disposal. His crew are all just tools to him and he doesn't think twice about killing any of them if they dare disagree with him. Even his right hand man, who has proven his absolute loyalty to him many times over, he doesn't hesitate to shoot with deadly poisonous gas. 

He is the first pirate that they encounter that has actually experienced the Grand Line, which is the destination of the Straw Hats, and is easily the most challenging boss Luffy has fought yet.

Gin is the right hand man of the pirate Don Kreig. He is known as a demon due to his inability to feel empathy. However after Sanji saves him by giving him food when no one else will, he becomes indebted to him and when ordered to kill him by Krieg, he comes close but just isn't quite able to. He would lay down his life for Krieg, and his sense of loyalty goes so deep that he would even kill himself if he was ordered to.

Pearl is one of Don Krieg's top commanders and is constantly surrounded in an impenitrable pearl shield. He is very confident and cocky at first until the first sight that he has bled, and then he completely snaps. He is Sanji's first actual battle in the series, so he plays a fairly significant role.

Mihawk is the strongest swordsman in the world and Zoro's goal to defeat. He is unbelievably powerful and although thinks it's a joke that Zoro challenges him, he ends up gaining respect for him as a swordsman and challenges him to surpass him. He has a consistent role throughout the series, bigger in some parts and smaller in others.

He is one of the warlords of the sea so he comes up for quite a few events and later on during the time skip his role is much bigger again. So we would like someone who is willing to continue on this role throughout.

Higuma is the leader of the mountain bandits and appears in the first chapter of the manga. He does not appear past that point but he plays a very significant role at the start of the story. 

He is incredibly arrogant and cocky and thinks that no one can stand up to him. He tries to assert his power over Shanks and the pirates and believes they're weak for not fighting him just because.

Lucky is one of Shank's leading crew members. He is usually busy eating, drinking and having fun, but he is no one to mess with when he's needed.

Yassop is Usopp's father and one of Shanks' main crew members. He left Usopp and his mother when Usopp was little to become a pirate. He is an amazing sharpshooter and known all across the seas and one of the best shooters in the world.

Woop Slap is the Mayor of Luffy's home town. He appears in the first chapter and then randomly every so often throughout future chapters. He cares deeply about Luffy but does not like the fact that he wants to be a pirate. He is regularly annoyed throughout the series by Luffy's growing name as a pirate.

Gyoru is a minor character that runs a fish stall in Luffy's home town. He is very friendly to him and not bothered at all by his new ability.

One of Alvida's pirates that appears fairly frequently in one chapter. Him along with Peppoko and Heppoko have the biggest roles amongst Alvida's crew and are the one's that discover Luffy ended up on the island with them.

One of the main crew members from Alvida's pirates. He finds Luffy with 2 other crew members and informs Alvida that they are there to capture her.

One of the 3 main pirates on Alvida's crew, he discovers Luffy along with the other 2.

Koushirou is Zoro's sensei that taught him swordmanship. He was also the father of Zoro's rival who died before he could beat her, who is the one that drives his goal to become the worlds best swordsman. He does have a smaller role, because he is mainly shown in flashbacks, but he does have an important role as he is a big part of who made Zoro who he is. He is shown in present day a few times keeping track of Zoro's path. 

Ripper is the new marine captain after Morgan is defeated and is also the one that ends up allowing Coby to join the marines. He is thankful to Luffy and Zoro for freeing them from Morgan but is required still to kick them from town since they are pirates. 

He is a minor character that is a good friend of Boodle. He leads the townspeople to go to his aid.

ShuShu's owner, who passed away from illness. Now his dog protects their pet store with his life, refusing to move from in front of it.

One of 3 of Buggy's pirates that get robbed by Nami. They are picked up by Zoro and try to rob him of his ship and are quickly put in their place.

This pirate has a small role, but introduces the power of Buggy's devil fruit. He lost something valuable and Buggy ruthlessly kills him for his error.
