Modern Magicians is a brand new virtual alt-pop band!
A good virtual band needs an awesome set of unique characters—the Modern Magicians band features FIVE MAGICAL MUSICAL SUPERHEROES, each with their own backstory, instrument, and special abilities.

THE CASTING CALL
These animated characters need YOU to bring them to life! And because we just launched a LIVE Kickstarter campaign, we'll primarily need promotional material (like videos of the band thanking our backers and introducing themselves.)
We're hoping each role will be a very easy $50. We're making a small series of 30-second promotional videos. for our LIVE Kickstarter to introduce the world to this new band concept. This project is small and new, so there are very few lines. It's a light workload!
If you're thinking about submitting...submit! We'll will be making casting decisions fairly quickly so get in there!
DEADLINE
Because of the nature of running a LIVE Kickstarter campaign, our biggest and only huge ask is a fast turnaround time. PLEASE make sure you can record during the week of Monday, October 4th and submit by Thursday, October 7th @11:59PM if you are submitting for this project.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I'm really nice! Like, really! I promise. All we ask for is:
- A clean recording with a few different takes (I have a Drive folder for these)
- Meet the deadline
- Have a lot of fun because you're a voice actor and that's an awesome job, dammit!
I know it's a music Kickstarter, but don't worry...you don't have to sing for this one! 😉

It's rare that I'll ever need line re-takes after submission! If I do, I'll let you know soon and exactly why.
I really want to keep this light, low-key and fun! I'm excited to meet you!
Note that these are not necessarily permanent roles. That said, if you're cast you're always a Magician, and as the project grows we may call on you again! We're lucky and grateful to have you.

Jacques also goes by "Tyranny" and "Hell Himself". Yeah, he's THAT GUY. He represents judgement, both positive and negative.

Kenneth Clark is a go-getter burning the candle on both ends. He's the guy who actually wakes up at 5am, reads a new book every week, and flosses daily.
He represents ambition, and will be doing the bulk of our spoken Kickstarter promo. He is clear, concise, confident, and believes in himself, his magic, and his message.

A sensitive soul, Wally is shy, introverted and nervous. When he speaks you have to keep asking him to repeat himself.
His speaking voice is almost like a whisper, and it seems like he's afraid to take up space.
