Hello there and welcome to my Melty Blood: Type Lumina Fandub Casting Call!
The video link in the 'Explainer video' section is just from one of the previous games in this series that I made a few years back, not linked to this project at all! Though some of the characters appear in both games, none who were in that video appear in this game!
What is Melty Blood: Type Lumina?
Melty Blood is a fighting game series, with Type Lumina being a reboot of the series, and the overall 5th entry in the Melty Blood fighting game series. The game is entirely in Japanese with English subtitles, much like the previous games in the series.
Project Notes
What is this project about? - This project will look at fandubbing the character's short stories, victory quotes and their super attacks. As well as possibly looking at intro and outro dialogue too.
How long will this project be? - This will be a longer term project lasting into the winter due to having several scripts per character to record, albeit they are all quite short. In terms of recording, it should only last a month or 2. In terms of production and final episodes being made, it should hopefully be completed by the beginning of 2022 at the latest.
Mic Quality - Though an expensive microphone is not required, it would be more ideal if you had as best as quality as you can manage. Please try not to record in an echoy space, or have too much background noise. Other things like pops are also preferred to be kept to a minimum.

The casting will take place on October 12th. If the deadline needs to be extended after that, it will be extended for another week. And then we will see how we have gotten on with casting from there.

P.S. Akiha and Kohaku's roles have both been cast as they appeared in a video I made a while back. Everyone else in the game is open!
Arcueid is the main heroine of the game.
Voice Type - Medium to high, cheerful and friendly, mischievous.
Arcueid is a vampire who has been sleeping for most of her life, she is over 800 years old. Despite this, she acts much more like a child and is not the best at interacting with others. Her voice should be light and cheerful, with an innocent but strong feel to it.
Alright! Let's see what your made of! But if your weak...don't think you'll stand a chance against me!
Ugh! Having to fight you is so annoying! Why can't you leave me alone! I just wanna sleep!
Um, excuse me but...who are you? I don't remember anyone like you. Have you just arrived in the last 100 years or something?
Ciel is another heroine of Melty Blood.
Voice Type - Medium to high, often serious, hot headed and work focused, but she still likes to enjoy herself a have fun while off the job.
Ciel falls into the big sister role. She is kind and caring, always wanting to help her friends and those around her. When she dawns her Executor persona, she becomes cold and harsh.
It looks like the town is overrun with monsters again. As members of the Church it is our job to annihilate them. But it looks like I'm working alone tonight.
Not only did she show up late, all she did on our first meeting was shop! I mean, seriously, we're supposed to work together to save this town!
What a great night's work that was! Now I can celebrate with some yummy food!
Hisui is a maid at the Tohno Residence and the sister of Kohaku.
Voice Type - Medium to low, softly spoken, very serious/almost emotionless.
Her quiet nature makes her true feelings difficult to read, and her formal way of speaking has lead Shiki to see her being rather mechanical.
I apologies , my lady, but sometimes it is necessary to take such drastic actions in order to maintain order within the House.
Once this job is complete, we must hurry to the next one, sister.
If excessive force must be used, then so be it. I will make sure to attend to you in hospital as well once I knock you out.
Shiki is the main protagonist.
Voice Type - medium pitch, typical high schooler voice.
Shiki maintains a calm and friendly outlook. However he become startled and panicked quite easily. Causing him stress and panic attacks.
Woah! What are you doing!? Haven't you heard of taking it easy against your friends?
Do you mind if we call it a day? I can still fight, but I don't want you getting hurt.
I felt it...something in my heart! my senses changed, I could feel danger...something was fast approaching! ...This nightmare isn't over yet!
Voice Type - Deep or medium, softly spoken but with a sinister tone.
Despite he looks, Kouma is actually calm and soft spoken. However I would like him to sound 'evil and menacing' while keeping a very stoic and calming voice.
I shall pray for your soul.
I have got to say...I do envy your carefree attitude.
I will send you off to a peaceful place in due time. However, the travel there might not be as peaceful.
Voice Type - High pitched, childish and bratty.
I would like Miyako to have 2 different voices for 2 different personalities. The first, being for line 1, is a shy and softly spoken voice. Nervous and worried. The other for lines 2 and 3 is a confident and outspoken voice with an aggressive and proud tone behind it.
O-Okay! H-Here I go! yeah! Gotta focus and pull myself together! Big brother is watching me!
Shiki is MY brother, you hear me!?
I am the definition of perfect! Yes! Me and me alone! Ahahaha!
Voice Type - High pitched
Despite being in her late 20's, Noel has a very youthful voice. She often comes across as cheerful and flirtacious, but she can explode into emotional melt downs. She can be quite unstable. She also screams...a lot.
This is my real job! Teaching is just a hobby!
Teacher by day, fighter by night! That has a nice ring to it, doesn't it! But of course I'm not talking about myself or anything hehehe!
Argh! WHY!? Because of my lame job I can't ever get a cute boyfriend!
Voice Type - Deep and powerful
I would like Saber to have a deeper voice that commands attention. She should sound like a warrior but with a caring side, knowing when to quit for the sake of her opponent.
Make sure that you fight me with everything that you have! The time for battle is here, make no mistake, I WILL win!
It would seem that I was able to end this fight without gravely injuring you. Please do take care who you challenge in the future. Not everyone will be as generous as I was.

Voiced Type - Medium pitch, sadistic
I would like Roa to have a crazy voice. Kind of psychotic. But also being eerie and sinister.

Red Arcueid is effectively evil Arcueid. Her personality is colder and more cunning,
She does not have to be voiced by the same person who voices Arcueid.
Voice Type - Medium pitch, softer, sinister, seductive.
My, what a pathetic creature you are. Humans are all the same.
Wow, your even more broken than I am. That's actually quite impressive.
Being a vampire has its disadvantages, sure. But I don't really think about them ahahah!
Vlov will have the most amount of lines as he is the end boss.
Voice Type - Deep, softly spoken, sinister, emotionless.
Vlov speaks in a very deep voice, with a reserved tone and sadness to his voice. However, when it comes to fighting maintains a cool and evil presence.
You will not make it out of this battle alive.
I do not need to know your name. It would serve me no purpose, just as it will serve you no purpose after this fight.
