This project is the first of a number of projects involving this character from the 1980's UK sci-fi series Blake's 7.
Kerr Avon is a computer expert who joins a team of dissidents on a salvaged alien spaceship. The dissidents are led by the charismatic Roj Blake, who is a damaged revolutionary intent on bringing down the 'Federation' regime. Avon does his level best to snipe at and challenge Blake at every outset, acting as a truthful but self-serving voice of 'reason'.

I am an amateur audio drama producer and have made many stories for this fandom. There are many more I'd like to make, that are being written now by fans of the series but I need an Avon voice. This delivery doesn't have to be an imitation of Paul Darrow's Avon but it does need to be Avon-esq so the emphasis and manner are important. He was a RADA actor and spoke with good diction and pronunciation.
If you can make this work, there will be many stories to be involved in.

OK, I have completed the review and assessment of each of the auditions and the standard has been impressive for such a difficult role. Thank you to everyone who auditioned, I appreciate the time spent and hope you had fun with it in the process.
The mentality of 'you have to be in it to win it' is never more relevant than in these kinds of castings. I will be in touch with shortlisted actors by the end of November and hope to have decided, by then on the final selection(s). As mentioned, there may be more than one person who can take part in this multitude of stories.
Also, there is an opportunity for other parts to be fulfilled by some of you if you are interested.
In the meantime, I'll leave the project open until the due date.

Thanks for auditioning, I'm in hell and it's full of Avons. (That's a Vila line from the series, in case anyone is confused).
Confirming I will re-listen to all submissions before the end of October and approach those who I feel will work with the part. There is opportunity for more than one of you to play Avon in various stories. It does take time though, so patience is necessary.

At this point, I will be issuing casting calls by way of shortlisting around the end of October. This is a very difficult role to fill and opportunities may be provided to more than one actor as there are so many stories to make. I'll make a decision on that when these casting calls have been completed.

Yes, one that seems to be about to land about half a mile from this base. Vila, should our uninvited guests survive that landing, they may come and investigate the entrances to this base. Make sure they can't get in. (thoughtful and then ordering)
