HELLO ALL! IT'S OFFICAL, OUR TEAM AT CARAVAN PRODUCTIONS ARE DOING A COMIC DUB OF THE HIT WEBTOON "JUST A GOBLIN"
Synopsis:
For centuries, adventurers have slaughtered monsters for sport and hunted goblins for their body parts and linens. But why? This is the question, Nog, the goblin inventor, has been trying to answer. After accidentally unlocking an arcane power that allows Nog to "level up" and grow in strength, he finally discovers the confidence to chase the answer to his question. Nog will set on a perilous quest across the world with his best friend, Gubble, to discover why humans hunt goblins! Can monsters and adventurers live in peace?
Our Quest at Caravan Pro:
We hope to bring the story of this Goblin based adventure to life with vocal performances and visuals that are surely able to invigorate and expand upon the audience of this already large community!
What you need to know:
Just a Goblin is a webtoon owned series created by Brandon Chen, Inuupen, and JKSManga. We have creator permission to make this series so long as we credit the original webtoon and do it as a non profit project. While we at Caravan Pro. are going to put in our 100%, we understand if the non profit aspect dissuades you. The dub as of current is planned to go up to the ending of the Troll arc right before the timeskip, if the series proves successful we will continue on after that!Submission date:
The deadline for auditions will be JULY 2nd, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PST
What our requirements are for the auditions:
Auditions need to be submitted in .mp3 (mono) or .wav (mono) format
Please limit each audition line to three takes
Do not add in any sound effects, as we just want to hear the raw character sounds
We will be judging the audition deeply on audio quality and background noise.

We have met with an amazing lot of you in the call-backs, and while we'd love to have cast you all in main roles. There is a limited number of them...
... good thing we have a ton of extra roles that we'll need help with! Keep your eyes peeled as you may not be out of this race just yet.

The auditions for the project are officially over, now we'll be going through and messaging who we think will best fit the roles of these amazing characters.
Actors will be approached within the week if they've been selected for a call-back so keep an eye on your contacts!!
But this isn't over yet. If you haven't been cast in this chunk of the "Just a Goblin" dub there's is a chance for after the troll arc, so keep an eye on us until then!
Wonderful auditions so far! But this quest isn't over yet! Initially we had planned on wrapping up the auditions by tonight! Yet, CCC has made our deadline expire before what was initially set.
Giving us at Caravan Pro. time to think about the deadline. We've decided to extend until Sunday night at 11:59 P.M. PST.
So for any of you who wanted to audition but got cut off, now's the time for action!!!
Gubble is the deuteragonist of the story and is very much so an important role!
Gubble is Nog's best friend. She'll support him through thick and thin, even though she finds him to be a bit of an oddball and is very blunt about it. She is caring and more open minded than most other goblins. Yet she also maintains their brutally honest attitudes and inherent strength, as she is one of the strongest hand to hand fighters in the story.
[Upon seeing Nog's human catching inventions] THESE ARE SO COOL! But... Why do their names suck?
[Casual dialogue] Okay, so we still need weapons right? Adventurers need to be good fighters.
[Sharing a dream] I've been thinking about it a lot, you know... Whether all of this is worth the trouble... But after meeting some of these adventurers... I think I'm starting to understand what you mean. Maybe there is a future... where goblins and adventurers can live in harmony.
Pip is the User Interface assistant to Nog. While Pip looks like a ghost they're a little bundle of information that just can't help but describe literally... every... skill... in detail. Assuming that Pip is the system as a whole, whoever is cast as them will also get to read the system narration as well.
I imagine their voice could be played in either direction of masculine or feminine, and we of course welcome anyone of any vocal range to try for them!
[Explaining] "Analyze" is a standard skill that you start with. It can help you find your friend.
[Excited to matter of fact] I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding the system! ... But threatening me is pointless, I can't die.
[System narration] You do not have enough strength to use this weapon. Using the weapon will result in it being Ineffective. Attack power of the weapon will be lowered by 50 percent.
HE'S COMING IN HOT! Tyros is an adventurer in a guild known as the Red Ravens.
He's known as the strongest adventurer of this guild, as shown by his constant skill, leagues above others. He often displays a selfless attitude and is friendly to any potential new comers to the guild. Although through all of his heroics, he has an underlying thirst for a fight that allows him to go all out, instead of nerfing himself for small missions.
[Heroic] A little bird told me you guys needed help. Glad I made it in time!
[Friendly] Sorry, Guild master. There was a situation, but we made two new friends on today's hunt. This is Nog and Gubble.
[Amused, threatening, thirsty?] This guy... You're still conscious...?
I NEED HEALING!! But in all seriousness Lora is the responsible healer of the Red Ravens guild. When the going gets rough she'll stick it out and try her best to succeed (even though she seems to just be starting at this whole adventurer thing).
Lora herself has a very group mom vibe about her, she's typically the first to acknowledge the needs and interest of the other characters in the story and is swift to cast criticism on those who act out of line. Despite this, she's very calm in her way of criticizing and shown to be an intensely kind hearted individual.
[Stressed, but determined] N-no I can do this! I promised Tyros I was ready to become an adventurer...! I'm going to heal you and we're all getting out of here together!
[Serious] If it weren't for those gnomes, we would've been dead by the time you got here!
[Calm, genuine] Were you interested in that clock, Nog? Maybe I can get it for you as a gift.
Aria is the gal with the gall!
Much like every other DPS ever, Aria is quick to throw herself into battle and impress everyone with fictitious big numbers. Though she seems to lack a filter and is very honest with what she's thinking, she tends to be very self sacrificing for her peers if they find themselves in any hint of danger.
[Unfiltered/ Blunt] Lora's talking about how gnomes are usually prepared. But look at you guys! You don't even have potions. You'll make the guild look bad walking around like noobs.
[Whining] How much farther? I'm starving!
[Serious] Everyone's going to die at this rate... Leave me. Just take the gnomes and save yourselves!
EVERY GOOD PARTY NEEDS A TANK and Edward is not that tank.
Friend to Lora and Aria, Edward is shown to not be keen on taking hits even though he's the tank for his team. Luckily when he bails he knows exactly who to get to save the day.
[Absolute. Fear.] I CAN'T DO THIS!!!
[Apologetic] I-i'm sorry, I regretted it as soon as I left. But I Brought Tyros!
[Shock and awe] This is crazy... I've never seen an adventurer with such agility...!
A friendly yet gruff guild master. Sephir is the man in charge of the Red Ravens. He definitely seems like the exhausted older male role model we've had who takes his job seriously... but doesn't mind taking shortcuts every now and then.
[Explaining] As a reward for saving our adventurers, Tyros has agreed to a special exam for you two. It is much quicker than the adventurer exam... and requires less paperwork.
[Friendly and greeting] Tyros! I was afraid you would be late!
[Intimidating and judging] Is that so?
*Goblin Slayer op*
Goliath is the monster hunting brute of the Red Ravens. Most known for hunting goblins in a sadistic manor just because they are easy kill. He's a dark looming aura to Nog and Gubble, but to every other adventurer he's a loyal teammate they love to be around. In his own twisted way he genuinely cares about the other Red Ravens, and he expresses it through his actions with few words.
[Smug and confident] Ah. You know what they say... I'M THE BEST AT HUNTING GOBLINS!
[Blunt] Kill him. You're new to the guild, aren't you? You can have the first kill for tonight.
[Sadistic] Goblins are just so ugly, filthy and stupid... and when I butcher them and hear their shrill screams... I JUST HAVE SO MUCH FUN!
A member of Goliath's crew, he seems to have a gentle giant presence going for him as he supports Goliath's rampage on Goblins... gentle as in he tries to include the newbie and be understanding of their lack of goblin slaying knowledge.
[Benefit of the doubt] Ahaha well he is a noob, right?
[Convincing] Well, wait a second. This is Nog, he survived the one minute challenge against Tyros! They say he's one of the fastest in the guild.
**PANIC YOU'RE GOING TO DIE BY AN ANGRY FOREST BEAST**
The straight man to Goliath and his goblin genocidal gang.
Nathan is definitely the most vocal out of Goliath's crew, from pointing out the flaws in the team's performance, to being alert for everyone. Nate is definitely the type of player who micromanages what the people are spending resources on.
[Reasoning to a hulk] Well, yeah. A goblin bit his finger off. Why don't we just do the raid with us three?
[Passive aggressive] Hunting has been hard tonight for some reason...
[Pure. Anger.] WATCH WHERE YOU'RE CLIMBING, NOG!
She'll put a spell on you... for a price~
Kuara is a witchy alchemist who uses the materials the adventurers get for her to make potions. She's a stern business woman first and a hospitable vendor second, so new shoppers beware you're in for a harsh stare.
[Judgmental] The red ravens, huh? I don't recognize you two.
[Overly friendly] Goliath... It's been a while since you've come to the shop.
[Blunt] Pay up.
Bah! Hogwash says the Elder!
The Elder Goblin is the prime example of the ancient "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mindset. He adamantly doesn't tolerate Nog's wants to use better tactics to understand the adventurers, instead he'd rather us the classic 100% proven strategy of send more people at the bad things that outta show em.
[Leaderly and announcing] We'll send more goblins on our hunts! Our sheer numbers will overwhelm our enemies!
[Cracking up] BAHAHAHAHAH! That's the stupidest idea I've heard!
[Serious] If you insist on continuing to play adventurer with the enemy... You will not set foot in Rektoros again.
Some of you may not want to be a part of the longer scale project with lengthy roles, or some may just want to have a hat somewhere in the ring to be able to support us vocally at anytime. This slot is for those who want to be picked up at a future date to help us fill in the roles of any characters we don't have on the audition page.
