Project Overview

About This Project

Welcome to my CCC project on a skit, "Her Manipulation." This is a very quick voice acted skit I'm making for my YouTube channel, meaning it'll only be about 3-5 minutes or so. This skit is about Aiden, a young boy in high school who just got stood up by someone he thought was finally interested in him. This will be made in the app Gacha Club. This is a very short term project, with only one and a half week to turn in lines. Please don't audition if you're not okay with that.

Auditioning Requirements:

1. You must be 13+ to audition.

2. Please include your discord tag in the description! This is going to be our main way of communication. If you don't have discord, please include your email so I can send you the script there.

3. Please send your auditions in only mp3 or wav. For an mp3, using 320 kbps is highly preferred to prevent any processing issues on CCC.

4. Even though this project isn't paid, I do expect good quality microphones! XLR's are preferred, but as long as the audio sounds good it will be accepted.

5. Please show emotion in your lines, and read the character's description! It will give you a much better feel of how to act out the character.

  • Project Cancellation

    Hello everyone! I'm very sorry to say this, but this project is going to be abandoned for a more well-thought-out project that I'm currently working on. This skit was something that I doubt will turn out the best it can be. Instead, I'm going to be working on a new 15-minute mini-movie that is fully paid, per project, with a much more fleshed out (somewhat similar) storyline. Thank you for auditioning, all of the auditions were incredible and very much appreciated. I look forward to the next project, and I deeply apologize. Thank you!

Aiden is the lead in this skit. He's a 15 year old teenage boy. Aiden's considered a nobody at his school, most people don't know who he is and he's brushed off aside. Despite that though, Aiden has major self-esteem issues. 

From having family trauma at a young age, Aiden has a mindset where anything bad that happens is his fault. He doesn't really care about what others think about him, but he more cares about what he did to cause what others think of him. He is much more focused on himself rather than others - hence why he always thinks everything is his fault.

I imagine that Aiden would probably have a softer, average voice. An example would probably be Shuichi Saihara from Danganronpa V3, but softer and less upfront. 

Aiden is pronounced "Aye-den."


  • (Aiden has been standing in the rain for about 5 minutes waiting for his date to arrive, and she still hasn't.)

    (Self-condescending, worried) "Oh, she's late... should I text her? I don't want to sound needy though. This is my first time finding someone that's actually interested in me... and I already managed to blow it. Great job, Aiden."

  • (Aiden just got told he was a funny person, which he has never really heard before.)

    (Surprised, flustered) "Ah- What-? Really? I'm not that funny... but thanks...!"

  • (Reflecting after his date just stood him up)

    (Breaking down, angry at himself) "I planned that date for three days, and she stood me up... what did I do wrong?"

Cheryl Burdany is the other lead in this story, alongside Aiden. Cheryl is a 15 year old high school student. She is an average student academically, but considerably popular. However, Cheryl has many self esteem issues. This leads to her only caring about how she looks, and uses it to give her a reason to be extremely cruel to others. 

Despite her innocent appearance, Cheryl is extremely cruel because of her insecurities. To her, showing any vulnerabilities to anyone would be awful because of how much she cares about how she's perceived - so she'll go to any length to show that she's strong and someone to be feared, loved, etc. To do this, Cheryl acts innocent then later stabs someone in the back. She also thinks that it is just plain fun to manipulate people because of the rush.

I expect a higher-pitched and bubbly voice for Cheryl. There needs to be an appealing feel to her voice that "draws you in." Despite how cruel Cheryl is, she should not sound evil, rude, or villainous in any way. Some voice references could loosely be Aoi Asahina from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.

Cheryl is pronounced "Share-ill."


  • (After Aiden struggles to make a joke and calls it bad)

    (Pretending to be interested) "Aiden, you're so funny! You really haven't noticed that before? Have some more confidence in yourself!"

  • (Cheryl is about to ask Aiden on a date, knowing full well she's going to ghost him and not end up showing up.)

    (Bold, sweet) Say... do you maybe want to go out or something? Like... to the cinema?

  • (One of her friends asks her if she feels bad for betraying Aiden)

    (Hesistant, trying to convince herself she doesn't feel bad) "Why would you even ask that? Of course not. Aiden is... no different. He's no different from everyone else I've betrayed."
