In a modern society crawling with cryptids behind the shadows, the stories of several individuals, factions, and secrets intertwine in a fated series of events. Welcome to Hell.
Heathens is a 2D indie animation project and we're gonna be making its 7-minute-ish introductory short film 'Hellhounders'. It's mostly a plot-driven story about 3 demons, the rest of the circus society, and the inevitable shit they get caught up in.
Though I’d like to expand upon this more in the future, I don’t know how far we’ll end up going with it, so your voices may be long-term or just placeholders for now! If you're afraid your voice won't fit, we have plenty of characters for later that we might find yours to be suited for, so apply anyway! :))
Please Keep in Mind:
You can apply for more than one character, but only be accepted for one.
Clear and clean mic please, no background noises and such.
Moodboards are only guides! Feel free to do your own interpretation :)
Rates are $4 USD per finalised line. Amount of lines currently listed may be changed but not by much.
Submission Guidelines:
- Please submit in .wav format.
- No limit to the number of takes, but please do at least 2, label them (if submitting via email), and state what takes they are in the recordings before you start.
Label: Character_YourName_Version.
Audition through the Casting Call or submit your auditions to the email provided in the Google Docs version.

Relaxed, casual but cautious dry tone, always a little bit alert. (Deadpan/dry tone transitions into whatever an unhinged ‘angry smirk’ sounds like whenever something goes wrong or there’s a fight).
