First Aid Spray - Resident Evil file readings & monologues.
Project Overview
First Aid Spray is a highly successful Resident Evil centric podcast that launched in November 2018. Part of the show has always been it's contributions and interactions with listeners, the RE community and the voice over scene. Discussions in each episode are broken up by readings of files from the Resident Evil games by actors both experienced and new.
All files included will be featured in episodes over the next twelve months.

"Tricell Researcher Miguel's Journal - No. 1" and "Tricell Researcher Miguel's Journal - No. 2" from Resident Evil 5
Prompts: Miguel's journals, whilst talking about his scientific studies, are personal and show a range of emotions including irritation, excitement and amusement. Miguel at times displays somewhat of an ego and a feeling of superiority and "aboveness".
Note: Male, no accent specific although the name implies Latin American so that's a bonus.. There are two files by the same character so we'd like for you to record both.
The place was abandoned long ago, so there's nothing there of any value to us. Not one piece of lab equipment remains, at least nothing that still works. I can't say I'm surprised because I half expected this.
Anyway, the important thing is the Progenitor virus.
If we didn't need that virus for our research, there would have been no need to come to this run-down Umbrella facility anyway. We already have samples of the T-Virus, the G-Virus, the T-Veronica virus and even the Las Plagas parasite. We have everything we need for our research.
"Plant 42 Report" from Resident Evil (1996 original)
Prompts: Sarton is an Umbrella scientist writing a report for either his superior or his own notes. It's very cold and formal.
Note: Male, no accent specific.
There are two ways in which Plant 42 gathers nutrition.
The first is through its root that reaches into the basement.
Immediately after the accident, a scientist went mad and broke the water tank in the basement. Now the basement is filled with water.
It is easily imaginable that some chemical elements were blended in the water and promotes the incredibly fast growth of Plant 42.
Voice of "Scrapbook" from Resident Evil (1996 original)
Prompts: This file is a collection of newspaper clippings rather than a journal or letter and therefore isn't written or read by anyone specific. Since there are news stories some officiousness is preferred.
Notes: No gender of accent specific.
RACCOON TIMES MAY 27, 1998
ANIMAL ATTACK? WOMAN MUTILATED
May 20. Around 10 PM a 20-year-old young woman's body was found by a passer-by on the left bank of Marble River in the Cider District of Raccoon City.
Raccoon police assume it to be a grizzly or other animal's doing because there are teeth marks along her mutilated arms and left foot that show considerable power. Since she was wearing a hiking boot on her remaining foot, it has been determined that she was attacked in the Arklay Mountains and fell into the river. They are hurrying to identify this woman.

Prompts: A note found on Leon's person at the start of RE4, perhaps written by a superior. A mission statement.

Name: Ashley Graham
Age: 20
Daughter of the United States President.
She was kidnapped by an unidentified group while on her way home from her university.
The kidnapper's motives are still unknown. Although there's reliable information that the perpetrator is an insider.
Only a handful of people know about this kidnapping. It's been kept under wraps mostly due to the fact that we can't determine who the traitor is.

There will be two files to read for those who are cast.
Recently there has been information that a United States government agent is here investigating the village.
Do not let this American agent get in contact with the prisoner.
For those of you not yet informed, the prisoner is being held in an old house beyond the farm. We will transfer the prisoner to a more secure location in the valley when we are ready. The prisoner is to stay here until further notice. Meanwhile, do not let the American agent near the prisoner.
Voice of "Managament Trainee's Diary" from Resident Evil Zero
Prompts: Since the nature of the file is quite short and literally transformative, the entire file is included in this audition. If your audition is strong enough we can just use that file. An Umbrella employee who starts out irritated, then becomes concerned, then succumbs to infection as they write. Pace yourself.

Rumor has it that there's something dangerous about those leeches.
It is true that when Dennis just touched one he got ill with a fever.

Voice of Elliot Edward from Resident Evil 2 (2019)
Whilst Elliot does appear on scree, he has so few lines that we aren't too strict about the idea of a voice match. Because of the relative shortness of this file it is the entire audition line. If the audition quality is high enough we may just be able to use that.
Prompts: A tired police officer at the end of his rope, looking for any means of escape.
Notes: Male, American/Canadian accent.

It's down to just me and 3 others. No weapons...no ammo...and too many skirmishes have drained us mentally and physically. We're not gonna make it... Officer Phillips once suggested we escape through the sewers. Apparently, there's a secret tunnel under this place left over from its museum days.
I brushed her idea off before, but now, it's not sounding all that bad. Yeah, there's no proof there's even a tunnel or that the sewers aren't infested with zombies, but I don't wanna sit here and wait to die, either.
It's a long shot, but I'm gonna try to find out what I can about that tunnel.
