Fire Emblem Three And A Half Houses [FE3H Abridged] - CCC #3

Project Overview


Fire Emblem Three and a Half Houses is an abridged series based on the video game, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The series will cover all four routes including the side story, so spoilers ahead as expected. In this series, we follow Byleth, a professor who is aware that the entire series is nothing but a dating sim taped with chess elements. There are twists, romance, comedy, unnecessary musical numbers, and much more. 

As of this post, we have four episodes, two minisodes, 5 songs, and 1 short. Though we are currently working on Chapter 4 and Paralogue 3, we are preparing for our development on Chapter 5 and 6. For this round, we are looking for someone to voice Gilbert, Judith, Monica/Kronya, and Miklan. Though most of them are minor characters that appear once, a few may appear again later in the future (i.e. Gilbert and Judith). There will be more characters as the series goes on, so be on the look out!

In addition, we're also looking for editors and writers to join the group! Though most of the scripts have been written, we still have some paralogues/minisodes and additional chapters we'd like to include in, so it would be great to have more help in that department. As for editing, it'll primarily be for the paralogues and/or blooper reels.

RULES:


  • Be okay with spoilers (it is recommended that you played the game or have a good idea of what you're in a store in terms of story)

  • Be okay with cursing

  • Have a clear mic (USB are fine)

  • You can audition for as many characters as you want and no impressions are required

  • A maximum of 3 roles per VA (extras do not count)

  • Three takes per line in .wav or .mp3 format

  • Have a Discord (Please be sure to tag it in your audition!)

  • If you audition for the editor role(s), please include what editing software(s) you use. 

  • If you audition for the editor role(s), please ensure that your software contains the following: key frames, hold/freeze frame, color correction (i.e. brightness/contrast, tint, etc.), green screening, multi-layers, and can render at HD 60 FPS. (It doesn't have to be Adobe Premiere, but something similar with the following above would be nice).

  • All writing samples should be up to date and comedic (bonus if it's a FE Parody or Abridged work).


  • Must be 16+ to audition!

The videos must be contain key frames, hold/freeze frame, color corrections, multiple layers, etc. Ideally, the best type of videos to best describe this are comic dubs, fan dubs, abridged/parodies, or even explainer videos that includes key frames and multiple layers. Please include what software(s) you're using to edit your videos. It's really important for me to know, even if it's not Adobe Premiere. If it does NOT contain any of the requirements I'm looking for (and check the rules and description for that), then your audition will not be considered. Gilbert is a knight that works for the Church and neglects his child support. He's just a free man, trying to do whatever he can to lend his assistance... even if it's mediocre. He is also Annette's Father, but he denies it whenever it's brought up. He appears a few times during the pre-timeskip, but becomes a part of the Lion Gang during the timeskip.

Judith, also known as the Hero of Daphnel, is a commander for the Leicester Alliance, who often gets mistaken as Claude's mother, despite his actual mother still being alive and well. With every "boy" she utters, it gets more aggressive. Though she makes a minor appearance in the pre-timeskip, she appears again during the timeskip as a ally for the Golden Deers.

Monica was a student who attended the Black Eagles class, but mysteriously went missing. After a year of not checking the basement, they find her unconscious and completely different. Little do they know, she's actually a spy for Those Who Hop In The Darkness (TWHITD). She likes to do a little stabby-stabby.

Miklan is Sylvain's older brother, who hates him because he was cast aside for being crestless. Now, he roams in Conrad Towers, preparing for a flood and whacking people with the Lance of Ruin, which he just found. Of course, fate takes a twisted turn for him... Oh yeah, and he throw adult tantrums. In his serious moments, he acts much like his original voice from the game, but when something throws him off, he's at his true voice aka a man child.

After we finish a chapter, we make a blooper reel, which often post between 2-3 weeks after said upload. These blooper reels highlights mistakes from anything that was uploaded after the chapter prior. For instance, any bloopers for Paralogue 3, Chapter 4, or extra videos will go into Blooper Reel #5. They typically range from 8-10 minutes, but can be much shorter than that, if not much can be highlighted.

This position require you to have an editing software that allows you to do key framming and multiple layers, which will be heavily used to make whacky and fun looking edits. If you have any samples that follows that, please share it. If selected, you'll have training sessions on how to edit this way.

This is a position for the Paralogues only, also known as the minisodes for the series. You'll be responsible to use key framing, green screening, edit textboxes, use a lot of text, and add in additional sound effects. You must have multiple layers as you'll need them for the text boxes, expressions, and key art. It is good if you have hold/freeze frame as well as color correction. These episodes will range from 5 to 8 minutes, but no longer than nine.

Please send any samples that may be similar to this work or similar to the qualities I'm looking for. If selected, you'll have training sessions on how to edit this way.

As the title implies, we're looking for additional writers to help us with the remaining Paralogues/Minisodes and Chapters. It's good to have some basic knowledge on Fire Emblem Three Houses. As long as you have access to Google Docs, anyone can apply. Of course, we're looking for writers that specializes in comedy and/or abridges/parodies (BONUS if you've written FE Parodies or Abridges in the past). Paralogues ranges from 5-7 pages while Chapters range from 14-23 pages, but mostly in the sweet 16 mark. Writing episodes is a group effort, so you won't be alone!

Please send in any samples you have! If you don't have anything on you, but you'll like to try out anyway, here's a prompt: "After losing the Mock Battle, Byleth (F) tries to give a lecture to the Black Eagles, in hopes that it'll improve them as a class. Of course, it doesn't work in the way she wants it." (At least 3-5 Pages long).
