Project Overview

{Welcome to the Find Love or Die Trying Fandub!}
"I'm your host Kat, and this is Find Love or Die Trying! It's the premiere of our new dating show, where ending up single... means ending up dead! Not sure why you'd sign up for this, but now that you're here, you've got 7 days to get one of the lovely ladies on your tropical island getaway to fall in love with you. If she's willing to put a ring on it, you're both free to leave. If not... well, it's in the name of the show!"

{About Find Love or Die Trying}
The protagonist wakes up in an airplane that somehow has an entire bar in it, he's awoken by Kat, the producer of the show and later meets Damian Black, the CEO of the company that makes these killing game shows. After being informed of his loss memories and purpose on the island, he's led out of the plane to the mansion, where he meets his five love interests; Yui, Terra, Scarlett, Violet and Allie.

{About this project}
This is a decently short term project, featuring an English fandub of the entire game, covering each girl's routes and endings. The series will be split into a couple of episodes, each episode covering a separate day of the game. Unfortunately, we'll have to re-record and re-edit all of the footage and write a script for each day. So that might take a while, but hopefully the project as a whole should only take 1-2 months.

{Rules}
Be 15 or above, this game contains sensitive themes.
There are no canon voices for any characters, so besides the rough descriptions I left, feel free to give your own take on the characters!
Be respectful to other auditions, you are all talented and there is no reason to belittle other actors.
Make sure you give a minimum of two takes for each line, I want a decent amount of effort into this project.
Leave your Discord in your auditions, I need to be able to contact you through Discord.

    Hello, everyone! I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who's auditioned so far. I didn't expect something so niche to receive so much support so it's truly an honor! Now just for a quick update; Currently I am working on another project of my own (hence the deadline being so far away) so I would like to make sure that project is on a stable track before I start anything else, so feel free to share this with any other friends you may know. Everyone has plenty of time! And on the topic of auditions, I should hopefully within the next week, be able to get to throwing some feedback on most of these amazing auditions. The protagonist for FLODT is typically a very down-to-Earth realist while still very emotional, he's still most of the time just "the average anime protagonist" but he has his moments to shine. Though most of the time he's very unamused because of the situation he was put in.
VOICE: I'm personally looking for a pretty average male voice. Nothing that stands out too much, but enough to be recognized as a main character.

  •  (Sarcastic) Oh, you know, the whole getting executed thing if the girl I ask says no, the little bit with not remembering who the hell I am.

  • (Exhausted to horrified) Actually, I don't think I've ever gone this fastAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!

  • (Hopeless/Empty) How did things come to this? The escape failed. I've been surrounded, beaten, shot... betrayed.

Kat (Katherine Black)

Kat, also known as Katherine Black, is the producer of the show "Find Love or Die Trying". She's typically a very snarky yet friendly and energetic person and finds any chance she can to tease the player. Being the "know all" she is, Kat's typically the main source of conflict in FLODT.
VOICE: In terms of voices, a sort of high-pitched but mature voice should do, there should be a noticeable confidence while still being able to capture emotional scenes. 

  • (Pouty) You're the star of the show! You can't just sleep through it!

  • (Bribing) ...How about this. I need my show to be successful and run according to plan. And you want your memories back, and presumably, to leave this show alive. If you'll be a good suitor for my show, I'll help you get your memories back.

  • (Empty) You knew the rules. If you try to escape the island, you die. It didn't have to be like this, but you... I'm done talking.

Damian Black is the CEO of Royal Black Media, the company that produces "Find Love or Die Trying" and Kat's father. He's a very chaotic person, and doesn't care at all for the lives of those in the shows, his role in FLODT is to instill fear into the viewers of the show, teaching them they shouldn't try to rebel against the higher-ups of the world.
VOICE: I want Damian to have a very rough, middle aged man voice while being able to capture very chaotic energy. 

  • (Proud/Boasting) I'm the CEO of Royal Black Media, the biggest network for Battle Royale games on the planet.

  • (Annoyed) Well, that's my cue. The intern ain't gonna shoot himself.

  • (Amazed) Now that's the reaction I wanted to see!

Yui is the average childhood friend stereotype in Find Love or Die Trying, although it's very heavily hinted that Yui and the protagonist got up to "the funky" in high school. She's typically a very shy yet kind person, but only came onto FLODT for the money.
VOICE: For Yui, I believe a soft, sort of high-pitched warm voice would suit her best.

  • (Flustered) It hasn't been that long, has it? It's me, Yui! Yui Fushikawa?

  • (Embarrassed/Trying to cover up miserably) Everyone has things from high school they'd rather forget, right! Ha. Ha. Ha. Yep, yep, yep. Mmhm.

  • (Neutral, switch to crazy) Well, actually, the whole trying to date 5 girls at a time thing came out of nowhere, but... life is full of surprises, I guess. It shouldn't take long to remove them from the equation.

Terra! The typical gamer girl that everybody loves or hates, she usually spends most of her time lazing around the mansion and playing video games. Though she has her moments, she's also implied to be some social media icon under the name "Terra Byte"
VOICE: Terra's voice should be somewhat tired, medium pitch voice that can still express good amounts of energy. 

  • (Pretend dying) Tell my followers... they were... the best... Bleh

  • (Nervous) So... I guess what I'm trying to say, is...You're pretty cool, and I hope we can keep doing this, even after the show is over.

  • (Overhyped) LOOK OUT WORLD, TERRA'S COMING! AND SHE ALWAYS WINS!

Scarlett, the mad scientist herself was found reading some suspicious books in the library at the start of the game, though she's quite the sweetheart. Her main goal in FLODT is to help the protagonist get his memories back, and having the running joke of making banana and brain loving zombies in the process.
VOICE: I think a mature and deep voice suits Scarlett best, but make sure you can pull off absolute crazy too.

  • (Laughing it off) The bad thing is... Applying too much turns people to rabid monkey zombies, hell-bent on eating human brains... And bananas.

  • (Insane, screaming) This is payback for you guys acing your introductions!!

  • (Melancholy) Don't worry about it. I may not be able to help them, but... It doesn't mean I can't help you and your partner escape from this madness.

Violet is implied to be a descendent of royalty, and while she may seem like an unlikeable and harsh girl on the outside, she's actually quite the good person. Her main passion is baking, and she's unbelievably passionate about it, though she tends to find herself disappointed in it because of her family deeming baking as a "low-life" hobby.
VOICE: Violet should have a high-pitched yet harsh and confident voice. 

  • (Polite into snappy) One... These ribs are well done. They were supposed to be medium rare! Remake them all before the hour is up.

  • (Petty) The spaghetti tonight will be, how to say, a little different. I hope you don't mind.

  • (Crying) After Viola died, I did my very best to live up to the standard she set for my parents. You can probably guess how that went.

Allie, from an outside perspective she's your typical energetic sporty girl, but once you get to know her it turns out she has an underlying secret just waiting to be told. Allie loves her dark humor though, and tries to be as physical as possible also, she later plays a very big part in the story.
VOICE: Allie's voice should be somewhat of a very upbeat and determined voice, lying somewhere in a high-pitched female voice.

  • (Energetic, teasing) Come on, come on! Keep it up! We'll have you in tip-top shape in no time, soldier! Wow, you're running even faster than my dad did when he left.

  • (Annoyed/Snappy) Believe me, I looked for a safe place as hard as I could. That's why I got the roller blades and the boat earlier - to find a safe place to talk, as fast as possible.

  • (Intimidating) No matter what, don't tell anybody what happened here. Not even a little bit. Not even if you think you can trust them. Are we clear?

The brothers five are the inside joke of FLODT, but play the role of the show assistants. Since they are minor characters, I've just gathered them all here.
VOICE: I will be casting 5 different voices, one for each brother so just provide any male voice you like. 

  • (Presenting/Excited) To give the world top tier enjoyment! To protect our ass from unemployment! To make the world believe in fate and love! We work like slaves for the shills above! We're the Brother's Five!

  • (Disappointed) I guess we're not important enough to finish our intros.

  • (Upset) I knew we should have just worked in accounting!
