Hello! This is a project to create an abridged series for the 2006 DEEN adaptation of the popular visual novel Fate/Stay Night. Our main motivation for this project is that we've noticed a huge amount of abridged series emerging for all the different Fate incarnations. However, to our knowledge there has only ever been one attempt to abridge perhaps the silliest and most easily lampooned adaptation, and then it was nearly a decade ago.
Our goal is to make a modern, high quality abridgement of the first and cheesiest Fate anime to date. Voice directing will be done via Discord call with the directors. If you're cast for a role, and you personally feel uncomfortable with that method or just don't have the time, one or both of the directors will read your lines the way they want them emphasized, then send their recording to you for reference.
Casting
While most of the main cast has already been accounted for, there are several secondary-to-lesser main characters that are still in need of a role. Not to mention the likely multiple background and random one-line characters.
Pricing
Pricing can be negotiated on a person-to-person basis depending on character importance and performance quality. As default, all actors playing lead characters will be paid $20 per episode, secondary characters will be paid $10 and minor characters $5. Nameless characters/characters with very minimal dialogue are unpaid, but don't let that stop you from auditioning. There could always be new characters we decide to add later!
Requirements
- At minimum access to home-standard high quality recording equipment (a Blue Yeti is the most popular, but feel free to use whatever is your personal preference)
- Necessary free time to be able to record lines and do retakes during the semi-regular time period where each episode's script is finalized
- A basic understanding of the Fate series and more specifically this adaptation. If you're very interested in a part and have the time, watching the series for yourself to get a good idea of the character and context is the best way to get on our radar.
Most importantly don't be afraid to have fun and throw your own spin on things!
