Fallout 4 Mod - Fourville: The Creators Update
Project Overview
This project is a content update for my recent mod, Fourville. It will add three new characters and will focus on the Church of the Four in the aftermath of Vault 4 opening. I have set a month deadline for auditions, but because the mod is already out and this update also contains bug fixes I'll be casting on a rolling basis. If I hear someone who I think it's perfect for the role, I'll look to cast sooner rather than later.

Father Ben is the leader of a church in Vault 4 known as The Church of the Creator. The church believes in a Creator who created everything and everything, and has preordained the path of all their lives. When he first meets the player he will declare them The Catalyst, an icon in their religion who is said to be able to operate outside The Creator’s plan as their agent. After this he will enlist the player to collect donations from settlements around the Commonwealth. After the player has brought enough donations he will inform them that the money has been stolen by a trader and asks the player to bring it back. In reality, he believes that the trader is a blasphemer against The Creator and has sent the player in the hope they will kill the trader. When the player returns from the quest Father Ben will suddenly turn on them. He reveals that he is envious that the player has a higher status in the church than he does.
Father Ben has 91 lines.
Line 01 Context - A friendly greeting. The player has entered his church for the first time.
Line 02 Context - Awestruck. He is declaring the player an icon of his religion.
Line 03 Context - Threatening and sinister. Father Ben has turned on the player and is preparing to kill them.
Welcome, stranger. It seems fate has brought you into our church today. He can I help you?
You mean... you already had the book? Then there is no other explanation: you are The Catalyst!
You're so gullible. All I had to do was act the awe-struck, wide-eyed vault dweller and you were ready to do whatever I wanted. Any last words?
Bartholomew is a wandering trader who has spent his life roaming the Commonwealth selling his goods. He is involved in the storyline of Father Benjamin, leader of the Church of the Creator inside Vault 4. Father Ben accuses Bartholomew of stealing donation money from the church and sends the player to recover it. The accusations are false and Father Ben hoped that the player would kill Bartholomew to stop him asking questions about how Vault 4 is run.
Bartholomew has approximately 39 lines.
Line 01 Context - A friendly but cautious greeting. He is meeting the player for the first time.
Line 02 Context - Fearful and paranoid. He knows that the people of Vault 4 have sent someone to kill him.
Line 03 Context - The first sentence is casually spreading gossip. The second sentence is a little more fearful when he recounts blood-chilling howls heard in the foothills.
Hey there, stranger. You new to these parts? Don't think I've seen you on the caravan trail before.
Oh shit, you're the one who's been hanging around Vault 4. I bet they sent you after me, didn't they?
Some settlers told me to avoid Sunshine Tidings Co-Op. They say there's some kind of monster in the hills round here. I didn't used to believe it, but then I went there after dark. Let's just say howls like that, they stay with you.
The Former Father of the Four was the leader of the Church of the Four, a cult who worship Vault 4 as a God, calling it The Four. He held the post of Father of the Four before the player arrived in Fourville. The current Father of the Four, Jared, became his protégé and manipulated him into declaring him the new Father of the Four. Suspecting that Jared was not a true believer in The Four, he laid a trap for him. This holotape is his last recorded message to Jared where he explains his reasons for trapping him. The Former Father appears only in holotapes.
The Former Father of the Four has 6 lines.
All three lines are part of the same speech where the Former Father of the Four explains to Jared why he is trying to kill him. He is old, weak, and filled with regret at having allowed himself to be manipulated by Jared.
Dear Jared, if you are listening to this holotape then I am dead, you are next in line to be Father of the Four, and have come to the bunker as I hoped you would.
I hoped that I would never have to make this tape, I hoped that there might be something, anything, I could do to change the course of events. But there was not.
It seems now to be inevitable that you will ascend to become Father of the Four, and I can think of no one more profoundly unsuited to the role.
