Doki Doki Wrestling Club: Episode 1
Project Overview
Doki Doki Wrestling Club is a video crossover story between Doki Doki Literature Club and the WWE, very much like my previous work, the Danganwrestling series, which crossed Danganronpa with WWE. Please check it out Danganwrestling to get an idea of what kind of project this will be!
For this first episode, there are only female roles open for casting. Male roles will certainly open up for the future episodes.
Plot Summary
The basic plot of Doki Doki Wrestling Club has the Literature Club entering an essay contest to win a tour of the WWE training facility. They end up getting in the ring and competing in a tournament to win a wrestling contract for the company.
Project Details
Doki Doki Wrestling Club is planned as a multi-part video series, however only Episode 1's script has been completed. Some roles will extend to future episodes, some may only make one appearance, and new roles will open up for future episodes. But let's worry about that once we get there!
The visual element of the project is already completed. I just need voices.
Please keep the following in mind when auditioning:
-
Quality audio recordings are important. I'm no audio engineer, but I'd like to keep the quality consistent throughout the work. A good mic is important, but at the very least, make sure your voice is clear and that there is no background noise. - I'll provide some samples of what some of characters' voices should sound like, but don't worry too much about matching it exactly
- Audition for as many parts as you like!
- I recommend doing multiple takes on each of the audition lines
- I may extend the deadline if necessary, but I'd like to get roles and recordings done soon since a bulk of the video work is already done.
-
I prefer to communicate through email because I guess I'm an old man that doesn't know how to use Discord (though I'll try to set one up for this project). So if I cast you, I'll ask for your email address, and I'll provide mine.

Those who are cast for the roles will be credited in the video and in the video description, along with any profiles you'd like to promote (Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, etc.)
If you've got any questions, hit me with a message! Maybe I'll set up a discord if I can figure out how that works, lol

Man, it took me forever to find out how to post an update to the project page...anyway. Thank you everyone for your auditions! I know it was kind of a short deadline, but I was very happy with the submissions I received. I'll be going over them all and will have casting done for most of the roles very soon, before the week is over. The two Australian roles are still open, so I'll try and extend the deadline a little bit if anyone still wants to try out for those. If I still can't fill those roles after that, I'll figure something out!
As the main and point-of-view character of the story, Sayori has the most lines out of all the characters. Sayori is the Vice President of the Literature Club. Unlike the rest of the club, she is still learning about pro wrestling. She secretly suffers from depression, but still wants to make her friends happy.
Her voice should be playful and energetic. Though some lines will call for a more solemn voice.
(perky)
"Welcome to the Literature Club. My name is Sayori, the club's Vice President."(dejected, depressed)
"Me, though...I'm not confident enough in my writing, let alone my wrestling knowledge. But, I don't want to let anyone down."(excited)
"It's...exhilarating! So this is why everyone in the club is so into wrestling..."
Monika is the president of the Literature Club. Her confidence and talent has everyone look up to her. If you've played DDLC, you'll also know that she can also be quite...antagonistic.
Her voice should be very confident, like a leader. Always with a tone of cheer and optimism, even when she is talking about very dark things. It's almost kind of unnerving.
(excited)
"So, it turns out WWE is holding an essay contest to win free tickets to a show and a tour of the Performance Center!""Oh yeah! They had these metal railroad spikes and started stabbing each other..."
(cheery, slightly sarcastic)
"You nailed it, Yuri! I always took you for a 'Knife Pervert.'"
Natsuki is the smallest girl in the Literature Club, but probably the toughest. She likes cute things and mainstream wrestling programming like the WWE. She is also abrasive and argumentative.
Her voice should be small and cute, but also stern when she's angry (which is often).
"Well, there's 3 hours of Monday Night RAW. Then 2 hours of Smackdown Tuesday night, then an hour of 205 Live* right after."
*note: "205 Live" is pronounced "Two-Oh-Five Live," with "Live" as in "we're going live on the air."
(gleeful)
"No! It has to be John Cena so that they know we're big fans!"(frustrated, yelling angrily)
"We live in Japan! You don't gotta tell us about Japan all the time!""
Yuri is the most "sophisticated" girl in the Literature Club. She tries to act mature, but she's really an awkward, quiet girl. She's also a snob when it comes to wrestling, preferring Japanese strong style to the watered-down WWE product..
Her voice should be soft-spoken and calm. But she does have an intense, "crazy" side to her as well.
"It seems a little childish to talk about John Cena like that. Your hero worship should be reigned in a little."
"What about Roman Reigns? A valiant, tragic figure that has had to endure many hardships and undue toxicity from fans because of the decisions of an elderly man estranged from reality..."
(crazed)
"WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT THE CUTTING?!"
One of the executive officers in charge of the WWE and the chairman's daughter.
Her voice should be very confident, kind of loud, slightly annoying. She is the spokesperson of a company, so she sounds like she's always trying to sell you on something.

"Hi! Hello! Are you our lucky winters of the WWE Essay Contest?"
"Here at the WWE is where we started the Diva's Revolution, with our upcoming all-women pay-per-view, Evolution."
(frustrated)
"Mark, wait, you're getting crumbs all over the place!"
A side character with a few lines.
An obnoxious, annoying, Australian wrestler who thinks she is better than everyone, aside from her inseparable partner, Peyton Royce.
Billie and Peyton are basically interchangeable, so if you audition for one, you may be cast for the other!
Her voice should have an Australian accent.

"Look, Peyton! This itty bitty loli anime girl, thinking she's too good to entertain us."
"Ooh, look at her, Peyton! She's going bonkers! A lot like another purple hair we got around here!"
"We took quite a wallopin'. I was expecting just a tsundere*, not a yandere*, too!"
*note: "tsundere" is pronunciation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSc9-q5GMqQ
"yandere" pronunciation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpNdymgr09M
A side character with a few lines.
An obnoxious, annoying, Australian wrestler who thinks she is better than everyone, aside from her inseparable partner, Billie Kay. Likes to mock people with bad impressions.
Billie and Peyton are basically interchangeable, so if you audition for one, you may be cast for the other!
Her voice should have an Australian accent. She has a slightly rougher voice than Billie Kay.

(excitedly)
"Oh my GAWD. Lookit the little anime girls!""Oi...the anime gals ain't half bad, yeah?"
"All by yourself, little girl? You're no match for us. Find yourself a partner and we'll show you why they call us...Iconic!"
