Coffee Talk FANDUB
Project Overview
Howdy there! I see you have taken an interest in this project I have here! Let’s get to the rundown of what I have going on.
Coffee Talk is a 2020 visual novel game by Toge Productions where you play as a barista, serving a variety of drinks to customers while listening to their problems. Set in a modern fantasy time in Seattle, Washington, you get to learn about the struggles and disagreements that these people go through in their lives.
I love this game very much. It’s cozy, the characters are relatable, the art direction is wonderful, the music is amazing, and of course. The stories are one to not miss. Not even for a second! And since voice acting has become a bit of a hobby for me, I figured. Why not do a fandub of this?
TAKE NOTE! This is a non-profit dub! I want this project to be for fun, while also trying to have things be a little professional y’know? I would highly recommend playing this game if you wish to have an experience for yourself! If you prefer to gain your experience of it here, then that is perfectly fine too!

The Requirements:
Those auditioning for this project must be 18 years or older.
Your microphone must be at a decent level of quality. I’m not looking for anything perfect, but something where there is little background noise, little humming, etc. And this can be done with a USB or an XLR mic!
This is a visual novel. You must be willing to stay a part of this project long term and meet certain deadlines.
Communication and cooperation is key! Please be able to respond when you are needed regarding this project.
These characters do and will have a wide range of emotions. As such, I expect you to be able to provide the same when reading your lines. This includes your tone of voice too.
This game contains discussions of discrimination/racism, self-harm, and sexual assault. If you believe you will not be able to audition due to the chances of possible triggers, I completely understand.
And most of all. Please meet your deadlines!!! It means a lot to me when you do. However, if there is any reason why I should extend yours. Let me know as soon as you can and we’ll extend a separate date for you that works best! I know things will happen in our lives and I don’t want you to feel super pressured.

The Auditioning Process:
You can audition for more than one character!
Use either Audacity or Adobe Audition to record your lines. And make sure the channel is set to Mono, not Stereo.
Do at least 2 to 3 takes on each piece of dialogue provided to the character you are auditioning for.
Please have your audio files be formatted to .mp3.
Please name your audio file as this -> yourusername_charactername.mp3.
When submitting your audition, be sure to provide your Discord name in the description, that way there is a form of communication if you are picked to be the character.

The Deadline:
The cut off date for auditions will be April 1st, 2025 at 12 AM Eastern time! You will have plenty of time to take part in this if you are interested! I hope to hear everyone’s amazing voices! Thank you for taking the time to read through all of this! Now, get to choosing your characters!
