RECASTING Two Roles (Voice Actors) for Halo Machinima: Sandguardians
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION / PROJECT OVERVIEW
Hello! My name is Intro-Mind, a content creator who posts videos on my YouTube channel. I'm currently in need of recasting two major roles for my ongoing Halo machinima series, "Sandguardians". A protagonist role and an antagonist role.
The series is a coming-of-age story, greatly inspired by "Red vs. Blue" (of course) but it isn't a cloned copy. Power Rangers, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings also act as inspirations, containing lots of sci-fi action, comedy, and drama. You can view the series on my YouTube channel or read more about it on its own Fandom site. Right now I'm currently producing Season 4 (11 out of 15 episodes have been released). There are four episodes left and I'm in need of two actors to take over these roles.
CHARACTER OVERVIEWS
Brigadier Bernard is the sadistic and intimidating commanding officer of the ONC. He is a clever, manipulative, and somewhat sarcastic antagonist, usually not very intimidated by others and possesses good leadership skills. His strengths are his use of intimidation and emotional manipulation to overpower his enemies.
Dr. Iamo Kasam is the stern and logical freedom-fighting protagonist, specializing in data analysis and leading mission briefings. He can be very serious and unforgiving, seemingly the type of person who puts more focus on things rather than people. He has a low tolerance for incompetence and expects individuals to perform to a certain standard.

The deadline to send in auditions will be April 28, 2023.
FINAL NOTES
This project has always been a passion project of mine and is unpaid. I don't want to waste anyone's time, so if this affects your decision to audition I completely understand. I'm very lenient on things and never want to spam actors for lines or micromanage, due to all of us having our own responsibilities. We've all got stuff going on and I don't want to bog anyone down with this.
Again, please send in your auditions in either .mp3 or .wav format by the deadline, April 28, 2023. I'm excited to hear them!

Brigadier Ernest Bernard is a sadistic, confident, and manipulative high-ranking soldier for the corrupt ONC organization. Intimidating and determined, Bernard is a no-nonsense soldier who is willing to do unethical actions without question in order to win. He is very loyal to his superiors and cares for his comrades. He is known to strike fear into the series' protagonists, due to his use of mind games, torture, and sadism.
Bernard's goal is to become the ideal soldier; to prove himself to his superiors. He'll do whatever he can to prove his loyalty, including putting himself in harm's way or giving his life if it means his superiors can gain an advantage. Although, his privileges stop him from realizing that he's being played and putting his trust in the wrong people.

Inspirations for the character include:
- Red Hood (Batman: Under the Red Hood)
- Locus & Felix (Red vs. Blue)
- Slade (Teen Titans)
- John Walker/US Agent (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier)
Line 1 Context:
[One of your enemies is spouting out some 'freedom' spiel and you're sick of it! You express not only your anger towards them but your disgust as well. You try to make them understand why they're a problem and why they deserve everything that's coming to them.]
Line 2 Context:
[A freedom fighter delivers a passionate speech about injustice and all you can think is: "Are you serious?" You see it as a joke, pathetic, and a bit disgusted honestly. So bringing them down a peg satisfies you.]
Line 3 Context:
[You're rallying your men up for an ambush against the enemy. But deep down, this attack is very personal to you. You want the enemy to suffer and you inspire your troops to share this mindset.]

Wow. That… that speech almost brought a tear to my eye. Seriously, I nearly pissed my fucking pants, it was so funny. I love how you insects are so passionate about the bullshit you're spewing. You think you've suffered? You think you're owed 'freedom'? (cocks gun) Close your eyes. I'll set you free.
Alright men, listen up. Our enemies are housed inside this fortress, past the gate. We've got orders to take them out clean and quick. No nonsense, no bullshit. Personally though… we're gonna do this dirty. I want to see their guts, I wanna see brain matter, that shit you don't recover from after you get home. But we're stronger than that. We're soldiers! Let's not just make the bosses proud, let's have some fun.

Dr. Iamo Kasam [EE-YAH-MO KE-SOM] is an analytical and stern individual who specializes in Data Analysis & Reverse Engineering. He is the de-facto leader of the Guardians, a team of freedom fighters, and takes lead during mission briefings & delegating duties. His serious demeanor & lack of social skills comes off as cold and intimidating, though he deeply cares about his friends. His coldness stems from losing so many of his loved ones, so he aims to avenge them by winning the battle against the corrupt ONC. This isn't a game to him and he has no patience for slackers.

Line 1 Context:
[You are commanding a team of troops to destroy an enemy base. You've worked rigorously on this plan, checked your Ps and Qs, considered all possible contingencies, and gone through it over and over again. Sadly, your second-in-command just screwed it all up in one fell swoop. Now they must improvise. You are not happy.]
Line 2 Context:
[You have all the evidence you need to expose the organization that's killed your loved ones but no people behind you to support you. You can't do this on your own. The only thing you can do now is vent.]
Line 3 Context:
[You're reminding your team of why you all fight. You tell them the injustices they endured; get that fire burning inside them. You focus on inspiring them because you believe in them.]

We finally have all the data we need to dismantle the ONC but no support! No one on the ground scouting and no numbers to fight back! Do you understand? We are all that's left!
I want everyone to remember what we're fighting for. I remember us raiding the ONC after countless layoffs, horrible working conditions, and incontestable discrimination. All we wanted was respect. And they called us radicals. Terrorists. But we know who we are and why we're here.
