The Lady Behind The Curtain - SVA Animated Student Film
Project Overview
Hi, I'm Marilyn and I'm an SVA student looking to cast a voice actor for my 3rd-year animated film, The Lady Behind The Curtain! I'm looking for one VA for both roles, as both characters are different versions of the same person. Synopsis, deadline and requirement details below!
DEADLINES
Auditions will close at 12am on September 28th, 2024. However, since I am on a short deadline, auditions may close before that date if I find a good fit for the roles earlier.
The voice actor who gets cast will be notified as soon as auditions close.
Recording of final lines must take place by October 1st, 2024. Recording will likely need to take place on either September 28, 29, or 30.
Payment will be sent as soon as I receive the final recording.
SYNOPSIS
A young woman finds herself in a brightly colored 1950's bathroom, only to realize that there are no windows or doors. When an alternate, more perfect version of herself comes out from behind the shower curtain, the real woman learns that she may never find a way out.
Film runtime: 90 seconds
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to voice both characters with a transatlantic accent. (example of a transatlantic accent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgrL-8RRyJE)
Must have access to professional audio recording equipment.
Must apply to both roles to be considered!
Must be able to participate in a live recording session, preferably over Discord.
Must be able to record by October 1st, 2024.
Payment will be sent through either PayPal or Venmo.
Payment is a flat rate of $50 for BOTH characters ($25 each). Recording session is estimated to take 1 hour or less.

The Woman is a young woman who speaks in a transatlantic accent. She has an innocent manner, but speaks in an increasingly worried tone as the story progresses.

The Alternate Woman also speaks in a transatlantic accent. She sounds a little older and more mature than The Woman. She is constantly smiling as she speaks, and is supposed to sound uncanny and "fake." Think of how people would talk in 50's commercials.
