Packhowl is in the process of developing The Madness of Chartrulean, an indie sci-fi audio drama podcast that will launch in 2022
Principal recording for the entire first season is complete and we're now looking to fill several minor/background/extra roles. This would be a great opportunity for emerging VA's who want to lend their voices to a fun, collaborative project. The rates for each role are listed with the corresponding part. Additionally, all voice actors will receive credit on the production website (see example).
Audition deadline is August 28th! After that, we will make our considerations by September 4th and notify those we would like to cast. Final recordings will be due by September 18. Multiple people may be cast in certain roles to add variety, especially anything labeled Background.
We want you to have fun with these -- the more life and energy you bring, the more authentic the universe will sound. Most parts call for Standard American or British RP. On that note, we encourage applicants from all over the world, so long as you accept PayPal.

The Story
Chartrulean has been gifted with an extraordinary mind. Because of his significance to Arcas’s religious authority, the Jhardeho Order, he was born into a messianic role he did not want. His ultimate rejection of that role led to his exile. But a threat to their world called him back. His discovery of a new controversial form of energy ends a war, but being the “most powerful man on Arcas” isn’t something he is prepared to handle on his own. With the help of a friend from his past, the boy he saved, and the woman he loves, Chartrulean must discover that in order to save the world, he must first save himself.

Once cast, you will receive full scripts and a pronunciation guide.
Record a few takes of each line. Audio quality should be clear with no echoes or other environmental sounds. Professional microphones preferred.
If there are technical problems or mispronunciations, we may ask for pickups.
Submit one .wav file with all takes. Label the file with your name and the part. Recordings should be 44,100Hz mono.
You will receive a Google Drive link where they can be uploaded, or you may email them. Email address will also be provided if cast.
Payments are made via PayPal upon receipt of final files.
