CFCR Ambassador Search

What is this?

A search for ambassadors for my channel, and studio as I grow - This particular role is one that will take things to the world, showcasing new slates of projects, films and other content that’s being actively developed in the pipeline. Additionally, this role is also one that will make appearances in future content alongside other actors, hence there being a need for both a male and female ambassador. This casting is not in any set category because there is such a broad spread of content that you’ll be involved in.

Requirements:

Since this is a paid project that I am funding out of my own pocket: a significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. Simultaneously many of roles you may be involved in, are for larger than life characters who can, and at times will emote HEAVILY- as such,  there will be some roles that involve shouting and even a bit of overacting / overplaying for dramatic effect in some capacity, at some time or another. So consider very carefully if you can accomplish all of the above confidently, as this is a very exciting but very intensive, and potentially at times demanding role to be in. Not to sound cliché, but this is really going to be an adventure.

Without getting too much in the technical weeds of the requirements, an XLR microphone in a treated space, that can accurately capture the natural sound and tone of your voice, without sounding overly produced. The sweet spot in the middle. Moderate Proficiency in ANY NON ADOBE DAW (Due to legal and copyright issues, this is not something I can negotiate on. If this is a deal breaker for you, I'm sorry ☹).

Languages:

While predominantly making English based content, I’m looking for someone who has an ability to accomplish the above in a multilingual context. It does increase your odds of being picked, as the content the team creates will not solely be in English. Hence, trying to appeal to as large an audience as possible is critical for ambassadors.

Casting in Regards to Payment:

As I mentioned above- this project(s) is going to be funded directly out of my pocket and as such the audition deadline has been set significantly down the road to better assess candidates. Do not anticipate this to be a quick casting, as there will be some time for deliberations.

Payment:

Payments will be made on a per case/episode basis (i.e: when payments are made for a project will typically be sent net 30 (Usually immediately after all work is furnished, or within 30 days). The range is there as an estimate for a 12 hour session, but can either be shorter or longer than what’s set there. However, for clarification, the rate is $40 CAD/hr. Payments for international artists will be sent exclusively through PayPal, whereas if Canadian talent is selected, will be paid via E-Transfer. - if you do not have a PayPal account (Or E-Transfer if Canadian) do not expect to be paid as part of a project. You have been made aware.

A few final notes:

1.)    Discord is not required, but it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute other materials (it's also been an incredibly useful tool to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it).

2.)    Sometimes, there are technical issues that are very hard to solve, and physics has not yet allowed me to reach through the screen and fix it by hand, hence Teamviewer being the next best thing. Downloading Teamviewer is not mandatory, but nice to have in case of emergency during a session.

3.)    PLEASE DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS. Completely unnecessary. Once in production side, depending on the role at hand, the requirements will be made aware to you ahead of time.

4.) When applying, make sure to have on hand your email, full name, any social channels you'd like shared, email, because if you're selected, this will expedite on boarding and get you hitting the ground running sooner. Please do not share sensitive information in your public casting.
