Project Overview

Hello! My name is Noelle, and I'm looking to cast voices for my ~3:50 min thesis film at the School of Visual Arts titled The Bewitching Beast Brigade.

In The Bewitching Beast Brigade, Three young heroes set out to defeat a monster that's recently been terrorizing the local community. Are they in over their heads? Or will they find a way to overcome this stark challenge that lies before them and defeat the monster?

This project is on a STUDENT BUDGET!!! (4 Dollars per line, see characters for specific line counts)

Melony is an enthusiastic, optimistic, and determined young girl. All her life shes been adventurous and ambitious, wanting to discover everything this strange world she lives in has to offer. In the Bewitching Beast Brigade, Melony acts as the leader in the group, confident they'll be able to stop the beast that's been terrorizing the local community.



  • Melony has a fairly feminine peppy young voice, very energetic when she speaks,Think Ivy from Lackadaisy or Luz from the Owl House!

  • Has around 15 lines

  • MUST have good microphone quality  

  • 3 takes max per line for audition

  • Please keep audition on a single file with .mp3 or .wav format. Take pauses between each line.

  • May also need to record some general "battle chatter" (i.e: Grunting, coughing, groaning, screaming, etc!)

  • Needs to be available to do possible retakes, in case of script changes.

  • 18+ VAS ONLY!

Amy is an ambitious and determined young girl who wants to become the best witch she can be. She shrives to overcome her challenges through hard work and dedication, yet she's often doubtful of her own abilities and struggles with self-worth. In the Bewitching Beast Brigade, Amy acts as a strong yet worried member of the group, fearing they may be too in over their heads to stop such a strong Monster. 



  • Amy has a fairly feminine young voice, she comes off as concerned and methodical when she speaks, but she still has a bit of spark, energy, and charm in her voice. Think Vee or Willow from The Owl House!

  • Has around 5 lines

  • MUST have good microphone quality  

  • 3 takes max per line for audition

  • Please keep audition on a single file with .mp3 or .wav format. Take pauses between each line.

  • May also need to record some general "battle chatter" (i.e: Grunting, coughing, groaning, screaming, etc!)

Penny is a serious and reserved young girl, but can still crack a joke and be lighthearted at times. She the only human in the group and has no magical powers, but she doesn't let this get the best of her. She's tomboyish in nature, rugged and dirty, and isn't afraid to fight back and fight hard. In the Bewitching Beast Brigade, she is the undeterred and level-headed member of the group, confident and grounded in her own abilities to get the job done



  • Penny has a fairly raspy and androgynous voice her, think stereotypical Tomboy. By default, I believe she has an American accent but I've also sometimes imaged her with a more Irish, Scottish or Nordic interpretation, so those are also welcome!

  • Has around 5 lines

  • MUST have good microphone quality  

  • 3 takes max per line for audition

  • Please keep audition on a single file with .mp3 or .wav format. Take pauses between each line.

  • May also need to record some general "battle chatter" (i.e: Grunting, coughing, groaning, screaming, etc!)
