Darktide Skit
Project Overview
Hello! My name is Charles Romano, and I’m excited to share that I’ve recently started my YouTube journey! You can find my channel here: Charles Romano YouTube Channel. While I’m just getting started with YouTube, I’m passionate about creating engaging content, and I’m focusing on producing small voice-over skits. One of the first projects in the works features one of my all-time favorite games: Warhammer 40,000 Darktide.
The idea of this skit being one of the last conversation's a reject unknowingly has with her Ogryn comrade right before an operation. For context, Ogryns are massive, muscle-bound soldiers within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, known for their imposing size and strength. Originally bred as a labor force, they now serve as elite shock troops in the Astra Militarum, the Imperium’s vast military. Despite their limited intelligence, Ogryns are fiercely loyal to the Emperor and their comrades. Their loyalty is unwavering, and they often form deep bonds with their squadmates, displaying a childlike innocence alongside their brutal combat prowess. This loyalty makes them invaluable in the heat of battle, where they fight with an almost unthinking devotion, charging into overwhelming odds to protect the Imperium and those they serve alongside.
Sorry for the delays! Holidays have bee absolutely killer with my main work and i have not been able to keep up! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

You’re a Reject — a soldier in the endless, brutal war of the Imperium. Survival is your only goal, and trust is a luxury. In this galaxy, friends are rare, and those you let close are often the ones you lose. You've seen betrayal, loss, and the relentless cruelty of battle. Everyone you fight beside could be gone tomorrow. That’s why trusted friends — like the hulking Ogryn who’s got your back without question — are a rare and valuable commodity.
An Ogryn’s loyalty, even if it’s simple, is something worth holding onto. They’re dependable, unlike most, and in a world like this, that’s as close to a treasure as you’ll get. But such bonds aren’t easy to come by. You’ve learned that the hard way.
You fight because you must, but also for the comrades you can trust — even if that trust is fragile. Those rare connections are what keep you going, and in the end, they’re worth more than any glory or recognition.

Easy, Ogryn! You’re going a little too far ahead. We can’t afford to get separated again. I won’t be able to drag your bulky self out of trouble this time.
Okay, what did you do with the ammo I gave you? Don’t tell me you ate it or something, ya lug!
Yeah, and I bet they think you’ve got the brains of a rock. I’d be more scared of your fists than your brainpower, though
