INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for Season 1 of "Adapting to Darkness", A original story that involve, crime, supernatural and lies. We will be producing a 3d animated short series that contains 6 episodes. Each episode will be around 15-20 mins long. This project is possible with the help of our future voice actors and with our new mocap system to make creating the animation for our series much quicker and easier.
We're casting for a slew of voices to be used throughout the season. If you're not cast for a main role, and your voice matches the tone of the show, we may ask you to provide lines for supporting roles in the production.
All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be comfortable using the language.
For all roles There will be no budget at the moment, However if we grow that will be a option.
We will also showcase all of our voice actors on our YouTube channel. The showcase will be in the description and the credits.
SERIES OVERVIEW
"Adapting to Darkness " is an 3d animated 6 part series that follows Johnathan Wilson, an 18 year-old high schooler. One day his father tells him that “it’s time for you to be part of the family business”. He does not want to be apart of the business, however he doesn’t want to make his father disappointed. This leads him into a life of crime, supernatural and lies. Overtime, he starts to embrace the darkness.
Johnathan is actually not a human being, he is part of a different species and community called the Senate. The senates jobs is to enforce the rules for their kind and others like them. They also are there to ensure that the humans do not find out about their kind, using any means necessary.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
Must be 13+
The deadline for episode one auditions is December 26th, 2020. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full Season 1 script is ready to release to voice actors. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles by December 28th and send scripts to voice actors by December 31st. We need to receive all lines back from voice actors by January 15th. This is a hard deadline and a cominitemnt. If you are unable to record between January 1st and January 15th, please contact me 5 days before the due date.
Main/ Supporting Cast members: must be able available to record for all the episodes. A new script will be released one day after each deadline.
For example: episode one script deadline is on January 15th. That means that episode 2 script will be available on January the 16th.
Episode release dates/ Where to view progress
Expect that each episode will be released around a month or less after all the voice recordings are retrieved. as episode progress the release time may shorten. Also we will make sure to notify you when a new episode is out.

Aaron is Shondra's partner. They been working together for almost 8 years. Arron is around 25-28 years old and he has a jokester and personality. He has a soft part for Luna, as he thinks of her as his little sister.

One of the members of the senate. Shondra is around 25-28 years old. She's been part of the senate since for her whole life. She has a mysterious vibe about her and she is close to her partner Arron.
(Points at scars)
We got these awhile back, when we were chasing some traitors. They left a few scars but I'll rather be me then them right now

Mr. Bailey is Maxwell's father and a cop. He takes his job very seriously and most of the time works long shifts. Because of this he doesn't spend a lot of time with Maxwell. however they still have a good relationship with each other. He may look cold but he has a kind heart toward other especially his son and wife.

Max, It looks like I'm gonna be late again tonight, Tell your mom I'll be back by the morning.

Personality:
Has a dual personality, he hides a lot about himself and family from his friends. When he’s at home, he is more serious and darker, his voice also has a deeper tone to it whenever talking about his family business. When he’s with his friends, he is more goofy and light hearted, he does get serious sometimes. As he starts to get more involved with his family business (crime) he slowly becomes darker and has an internal battle with what he wants and what he needs.

The world is not black and white, it is grey
Should always try to be kind to others’ (who deserves it)
Its okay to keep secrets to protect people from harm
Wants:
Wants to not be part of the family business and lead a normal high school life

Maxwell: I kinda forgot it on the table this morning. I'll pay you back tomorrow. You know I never go back on my word.
Johnathan: (shakes his head Fine.
Maxwell: (cheers) yesss! your the best.
Johnathan: (smirks) Yeah, I know.
(awkward)
um, hello ? It's 09. Wilson sent me here to meet...
(looks at paper)

Johnathan: I can always continue this conversation with Julie. But I gotta say, It's not gonna end well.
Mr. Collins: (Panics and becomes aggressive)

Personality:
Luna has a cold and sarcastic personality. She is extremely distant to strangers and people she doesn't care about. However she is a little more open to her friends and family, but still closed off. The only person she ever opens up to is Jonathan over time.

The world all grey, there is not pure people in the world

To be the heir for her family

Personality:
Maxwell likes to joke around a lot, even when it's not the right moment. He gets in trouble sometimes for not listening in class or pulling pranks on people. Maxwell doesn't like to express deep emotions a lot. Has average grades, although he doesn’t study a lot.

That there are either good guys and bad guys when it comes to doing crimes (pranks are alright)

Wants to just have fun
Move out of his house after school and become a police officer like his father
Get amber to like him more than a friend

Personality:
She's into the arts and has the highest grades in her class which she takes seriously. Amber has an open and light personality but also cares deeply for her friends and family. Some of Maxwell’s and Jonathan's personality has rubbed off on her since she hangs out with them a lot, causing to be more carefree and less serious when she's with them. She’s always trying to solve problems before they get too much to handle
