Just to clarify on my my last update! I will have everyone cast by Monday, however there are some I will be casting before then.

Project Overview

Here's a little bit about the world this is based in:
Candilanderz takes place in a world called “Treet,” home to beings that are completely based on types of desserts, candy, and other sugary snacks. The comics follow a cast of these characters through their day to day lives and all the shenanigans they get into. Eventually, their worlds become more intertwined as they get to know one another, establish connections and help one another overcome the many obstacles that are thrown their way. These obstacles range from things like putting up with a job you hate to dealing with turf wars and finally saving the world from dark magic. In a world where your favorite sweets are sentient, anything can happen!
This will be an ongoing project and more characters will be added as they appear in the comics. Before you audition, please make sure to follow these guidelines:
1. If you are cast, you MUST be committed and patient.
2. Good mic quality is an absolute MUST. I won't be accepting any auditions if I hear too much background noise or the quality just isn't great.
3. You must have discord or be willing to get one if you are cast. This is the easiest way for me to communicate with you.
4, If you are cast for a role, make sure you are someone who can have lines in on time. Should this become an issue, the role will be given to someone else.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
I've included voice references for some of the characters, however you do not have to match that particular voice exactly. They are
mainly there just to give you an idea of what I'm going for in terms of tone. You are also more than welcome to use a totally different voice
entirely if you think it would fit better :)

THE BLACK LICORICE DEMON
Kale is a talented artist with a pretty jaded outlook on the world (mainly because he had a hard time finding a job). People find it hard to tolerate his brutally honest and sometimes rude way of handling things, but Kale doesn’t really care. With the help of his childhood friend Marne, Kale snags the position of Avalee’s assistant. While the pop star’s lifestyle drives him up a wall from time to time, she can be helpful when it comes to getting him to lighten up.

Marne moved to Sweetcloud (the capitol of Confectia) when she turned 18 and opened up a shop based on her two big interests: Comics and Music. Very quickly, it became the go to place for all band/idol related merchandise. Marne is very self-reliant and likes to be in control of everything she does. She is also a huge fan of the band “Sugar City Rocks”.

Devon is the guitarist for the Pop Punk band, “Sugar City Rocks.” He’s known for being a party animal being the center of attention. Devon is a massive flirt, but never goes on dates. Why? Because he has his heart set on a certain little pop star. He does his best to maintain his reputation of one of the SCR "bad boys", but he's really just a sweetheart with a soft spot for all things cute.

THE CHOCOLATE ELF
Ivan is the bartender at a well-established restaurant and lounge called “Heartbox.” Heartbox is frequented by celebrities and socialites, so it’s no surprise that the staff at the venue is known for their outstanding hospitality. Like the others that there, Ivan is charismatic, charming and friendly (all on top of being attractive). Make no mistake though, he is no pushover. So much so that the managers will let bouncers leave early if Ivan is working.

Pearl comes from a very wealthy family. Even though her parents spoiled her, they made sure that she upheld good morals and was always kind to others. She was a very sheltered child and was rarely allowed to leave her family’s estate unsupervised. Because of this, Pearl began to get all of her social interaction through MMOROPGs. She is a closet fangirl who obsesses over shows, comics, and musicians (Avalee and SCR especially).

Nes is a distinguished member of Zack’s staff. In public, he acts like a simple bodyguard, while behind the scenes he assists Zack with all of his schemes. Ability: Ban-shriek - Nes’ high-pitched shriek causes sugar levels to rise. For creatures that have low sugar levels, the sudden increase will make them pass out. For those with higher sugar levels, it will just cause them a lot of pain.

Trix is a fan of Zack’s music and agreed to help him out as long as he gives her VIP access to all of his concerts and appearances. She is sassy, clever, quick witted and likes to have a good time.

Ability: Cereal Shift - Trix can shapeshift into anyone she pleases as long as she has something that belongs to them on her. The only thing that does not change is her voice, but this has yet to pose an issue since she is very good at mimicking others.

The Wolf Toffee Kumos are an organized crime group. As much as Luca hates to admit it, that’s his family. Unlike his brothers and sisters, Luca is very shy, timid, and honestly wants nothing to do with his family’s “business.” Because he is good at sneaking around however, the young kumo was put in charge of delivering banned artifacts and other illegal goods to buyers. Lately though, he’s been screwing up orders.

Giovanni is Luca’s cousin on his mother’s side. He is violent, merciless, and a brutal fighter, making him the perfect candidate for carrying out all the jobs Luca can’t. Since Giovanni has to remain in control when in the presence of his family, he fights in an underground fighting ring called “The Arena” to release his anger. Giovanni has remained the undisputed champ since he joined.

Ability: Toffist - Turns his fists into hardened toffee. While it’s a pretty basic ability at a glance, Giovanni’s raw physical strength, fast reflexes and natural combat sense, turn it into a force to be reckoned with.

Much like the Wolf family, the Mamushi Macha Nagas have a strong presence in the Cane Forest. Unlike Luca, Ren is proud of his roots and isn’t afraid to let people know it. He is extremely aggressive at times, which can get him into a lot of trouble, however his family believes he just needs the proper guidance. Ren is more than happy to take on tough jobs so he can consistently prove that he is the best.
Age: 22
Ability: Tailblazer - Allows Ren to increase his speed exponentially for as long as he keeps moving. If he stops, it will take some time before he can reuse it. Since he is physically fit with a high endurance level, this really isn’t a big issue.
