What is this project?
Hello, I am Gitaroo. I am the creator, director, lead writer, and artist of the prospective Danganronpa Fan Series: 'Brave Danganronpa: Coward's Paradise'. Brave DR follows the overall structure and premise of the mainline Danganronpa Video Games, but with an original cast and story. Brave DR is aiming to be a video series on YouTube, with animations and editing to emulate the experience of the games' storytelling.

Where is the project currently at?
Currently, the entire plot is roughly planned out with general story beats and character fates set in stone. The Prologue Script is completed, and is currently in the midst of editing and finalization. I am currently in the preparing the visual portion of the presentation, that being art, typesetting, and preparing things within the editing software for the final presentation.
I am currently working mostly alone on these aspects due to personal preference, save for a small number of consultants and editors. However an aspect I cannot do alone is bring the characters to life with voice acting, and I have found myself in a place where I feel I am prepared to open up auditions and ask for volunteers to assist me in this endeavor.
What will be expected of Voice Actors/Auditions?
Voice actors will be selected based on the merit and quality of their performance and how well it fits with how I wish for the character to be portrayed. Those with poor microphone/ environment quality will be less likely to be cast, so please take this into consideration. I will not be pre-casting or dual casting any roles. due to personal preference. No roles will be cast prior to the deadline.
As for the workload, it will be similar to the mainline game entries in that for a majority of the runtime the voice acting will be limited to short voice clips selected to match each line save for rare full lines that will be fully voiced for emphasis. The trial portions will be fully voice acted. The overall total of lines will be dependent on the character due to the nature of the story, but I cannot reveal estimates due to not wanting to reveal fates at this time due to spoilers.
Voice Actors should be capable of cutting their own lines.
Development and staff communication is to be done on Discord, within the dedicated staff channels you will be invited into upon casting. Please be able to communicate over this channel should you be cast, please include your discord tag alongside your audition. I also ask for co-operation, dedication and responsibility over the course of the projects lifetime should you be cast, and to make sure not to leak details of the development outside.

Biography
Hiroto is a young man who in his childhood admired the masked superheroes he saw on television and developed a strong sense of 'justice' and began donning a red motorcycle helmet and taking on the moniker of the vigilante 'Revenger Red' on several occasions to help people and stop crimes around his hometown. While he's embarrassed about how passionate he used to be, he still has a predilection towards 'saving' people.
Personality
Hiroto is an outwardly serious average young man who is often exasperated by the absurdity or difficulty of his peers, often retorting in a dry and frank manner. His cool demeanor is often broken because he is commonly flustered when he finds himself in awkward situations, or finds himself unable to speak honestly. His affinity towards retorts aside, he is an amicable person and has a tendency to speak in a passionate tone when he is trying to help people. This passion carries over to when he's upset as well. having quite a bit of steely fierceness when he feels he needs to call out wrongdoing.
Voice Description
Hiroto should have a medium young adult male voice that carries an air of approach-ability. Despite his passion and inspiration coming from fantastical sources, he himself is something of a grounded realist. Hiroto tries to obfuscate his gentleness with a facade of aloofness, but it is nonetheless present in the way he speaks to people with an air of reliability. He will sometimes speak in a passionate tone when he is sufficiently riled up. Hiroto's voice actor must be to display this wide variety of reactions and demeanor as the lead character he will have all kinds of interactions between the rest of the cast. As the lead and viewpoint character, Hiroto will have substantially more lines than most other characters.

Biography
A natural athletic genius born with perfect reflexes and motor control. It's near impossible for him to make mistakes. Excelled in any sport he played with little effort, but settled on golf as his game of choice because he didn't need to rely on teammates who weren't able to keep up with him. His charismatic nature, success in his field, and silver tongue make him very popular, but they hide his true darker personality.
Personality
As the other students are soon to find out, once the public eye is off of him he displays his true colors. He is arrogant and cunning, and sorts people into winners and losers when he meets them and treats those he considers 'losers' with contempt and mockery. He is intelligent but trusts almost no-one but himself and dislikes co-operating with the rest of the group. The only qualities he seems to praise are self-reliance and ambition.
Voice Description
Kazuya should have a smarmy, medium to medium low voice. I have considered a slight raspiness to his voice. Kazuya is an intelligent person, and he knows it best so the smugness in his voice should be pronounced but not to the degree that he sounds pompous. He rarely raises his voice when speaking normally but should have a tone like he is talking down to everyone. Despite all of that, he is still a smooth and persuasive speaker which lends well to his scheming and manipulative personality, occasionally even speaking flatteringly when he wants to. When mocking people he lets the facade drop and really tears into them with his arrogance and contorting his face as he jeers them and cackles.

Biography
A boy skilled in audio engineering and operation of audio equipment of all kinds. He has worked behind the scenes for various up-and-coming musicians, priding himself on working to bring out the most out their performances so that they can shine as much as possible. He has a mindset that his role is one that belongs 'backstage' and shouldn't draw attention to himself or interact with the talent.
Personality
Hibiki is a energetic and excitable mood-maker. He gets very passionate and talkative to a great degree when topics he's interested in are brought up, especially music. He is very interested in trendy things and whats 'cool', and the way he acts seems to be trying to imitate that. While he's friendly and upbeat normally, he's prone to mood shifts into self-depreciation due to his complex. Becomes a nervous wreck when thrust out of his comfort-zone or faced with strong personalities, and is quick to panic in stressful and dangerous situations.
Voice Description
Hibiki should have a medium-high voice. Hibiki is a talkative person who's normal speaking voice has an upbeat cadence and casual tone. Hibiki is an expressive and emotional person so he has a varied set of moods his actor must portray, including being comically downbeat and joking at his own expense, nervous stammering, and raising his voice to yelling when he's panicked or angry sometimes to the point that his voice becomes shrill.

Biography
A half-Italian boy who grew up working at his parent's trattoria. His love of desserts led him to practice and eventually become head of the desert section. He became famous after winning many dessert competitions, being called the 'Little Prince of Pastries' and will soon open a shop of his own in Japan.
Personality
As his youthful stature and appearance suggests, Yukio has a Innocent and child-like air to him. He loves nothing more than to watch the smiles of people eating his food, and believes even little things like that go a long way to improving someone's day. He has great pride in both his culinary abilities and his heritage, and aims to be a 'respectable Italian gentleman'.
Voice Description
Befitting of his appearance, Yukio should have a high voice befitting that of a young boy. He speaks with a gentle and optimistic tone. Yukio has a polite and formal way of speaking, rarely using contractions and addressing his peers with 'Signore' or 'Signora'. Yukio has a habit of singing while he works, but it will be limited to speaking certain lines in a melodious rhythm and simple 'la la la~s". Yukio occasionally uses Italian words, so ability to correctly pronounce them is important. A light Italian accent would be appreciated, but is optional. Given his tone, I am open to female voices auditioning for him as well.

Biography
A teenager with ferocious strength and instincts. He sent gangs and thugs that provoked him to the hospital with horrible injuries. This got him noticed by people involved in underground fight clubs where he's allowed to let loose against 'maniacs' fighting to kill just like him.
Personality
Daigo is a rough and wild person, his manners are almost non-existent and can be considered rude and brash. . He believes that fighting is a form of communication, and that there isnt a better way for two strong people to understand each other than by crossing fists .While violent, he has a sense of honor. He believes that the 'strong' live in their own world and they shouldn't be involved with 'weaklings' because they'll eventually hurt them.
Voice Description
Daigo should have rough, boisterous medium low to low voice. Daigo rarely uses an 'indoor voice' and has a leaning towards shouting and aggressive forward speech, even sometimes performing loud growls. Because of this he carries a slightly menacing tone, but on occasion this falters and he can even express lightheartedness and guffawing. Daigo should have a growl/snarl to his voice to really emphasize his 'wildness'.

Biography
Son of the head of a pharmaceutical company. He studied constantly and observed the procedures to one day become a doctor. He was forced to use his knowledge and skills to save lives when he was caught in a warzone in a remote country, and was recognized as a surgical prodigy.
Personality
Ichirou is almost always seen lethargic and apathetic to his surroundings. While mildly cold and anti-social, he believes 'life' is something precious and should be preserved no matter what. Becomes super-humanly focused when there's someone he considers a 'patient' in front of him.
Voice Description
Ichirou should have a lethargic, medium-low voice. Ichirou is often very direct and dislikes making pointless statements. This will cause his speech to come across as cold, and even monotone at times. He tends to nod off and snore when he is uninterested in the topic at hand, and when forced to speak regardless he adds in cranky and irritated tones to his speech. On rare occasions, he speaks with a uncharacteristic confident and determined tone.

Biography
Lives in a poor urban area, he practiced and became skilled enough on a skateboard to make TV appearances on extreme sports television shows. He uses the money from sponsorship to support his 3 younger siblings after his parents fell ill.
Personality
In contrast to his punk-like appearance, Daisuke is an earnest and emotional guy who is good at housework and taking care of kids. He values hard work and family values above all else. He does tend to get emotional and easily angered by people who he finds 'difficult' or are in direct opposition to his values.
Voice Description:
Daisuke should have a medium-low voice. Daisuke is a friendly, 'big brotherly' figure. His voice should carry an undertone of reliability while mostly being relaxed and down-to-earth. When things take a turn for the serious he can take on a stern tone to his voice and gets emotional easily.

Biography
Goro grew up in a temple school where the grueling work around the temple and the visits to a legendary hot springs built his body like a boulder. He soon became a rising star in the youth sumo scene, with some saying his path to achieving the rank of 'Yokozuna' being inevitable.
Personality
While gruff in looks and speech, he's big-hearted and jovial, and tries to remain level-headed no matter the circumstances. Has difficulty with expressing himself, so while he's kind he also speaks frankly/bluntly. While not especially learned he is more logical than he lets on.
Voice Description
As suggested by his stature, Goro should have a deep, low masculine voice. Goro has a strong presence, so his voice should have a good amount of volume to it. Goro's normal tone is mildly gruff, much more mature sounding than his peers, but also calm sounding, leaning to his nature. When he is serious he has a stern, powerful, even intimidating tone. He is no stranger to lightheartedness though, retaining his deep voice but with a jovial tone and hearty laughter.

A girl extraordinarily skilled in sewing and designing clothes, and a member of her school's Handicrafts Club. She began selling clothes she designed through an online boutique where they became popular in cute-chic fashion circles. Values above all else 'cute' things, loves frills and stuffed animals.
Personality
While she's timid and has little confidence in her talent she's attempting to change for the better and is trying to become more assertive. She is bad with meeting new people and crowds. Paradoxically she loves cute and glamorous things but has a complex about standing out, feeling that people will think that she's being presumptuous or that she doesn't suit them. She's something of a romantic, idealizing romance novels and fairy tales. When she's upset she's prone to grumbling but mostly keeping her frustrations to herself.
Voice Description
Hana should have a medium high to high -pitched soft spoken voice. Her normal demeanor is a shrinking violet type character who has trouble speaking up and is easily flustered, often stuttering and speaking rapidly in such cases. However she is also a mildly moody person who has fits of gloominess, stubbornness, and even pouting, during which she speaks in a similar pitch but under her breath. When she is happy and comfortable though, she will display a cutesy, bubbly voice as she speaks dreamily.

Biography
A strange girl who refuses to talk about her talent or past to anyone, allegedly because its more 'romantic' to keep it a mystery. She is well versed in both flowers and human anatomy, and very interested in macabre subjects.
Personality
She's affable and friendly, seemingly almost never without a smile even in distressful situations, though she sometimes makes inappropriately dark comments. Her unnerving cheeriness and dedication to remaining an enigma makes her difficult to read and causes her to be slightly isolated from the rest of the students.
Voice Description
Anko should have a medium-high, affable voice. Anko is almost always in a mischievous mood, and is fond of teasing and peppering her speech with giggling though this comes across more unnerving and inappropriate than approachable. In line with her enigmatic nature Anko is fond of flowery speech and her whimsical, evasive tone should be prevalent in her voice. On occasion, she makes logical and dark statements in a nonchalant manner, contrasting her normal flightiness.

Biography
A half-American girl who always loved drama and theater when she was young. While she grew up in a rural town she was scouted and lived in America for sometime attending a special school for training entertainers. After undergoing nonstop training she became a famous high-school actress and featured in many films across several genres.
Personality
Stella has an image in her mind of what a 'celebrity' is supposed to act like, and tries to carry herself as such. This includes being well-liked, so she tries to be as amicable and sociable as she can. However, she has limits to her patience and gets mad when people are difficult or the situation puts her at a loss.
Voice Description
Stella should have a amicable, medium pitched voice. Stella tries her best to maintain the 'air' of a celebrity, so she speaks with a camera-friendly 'like able' tone. While she fits within the 'popular girl' archetype she's relatively down to earth and shouldn't come off as haughty at all. Befitting her talent she should also be able to be a little dramatic and antics of the more difficult students will cause her to take a troubled and annoyed tone.

By day, she's a normal quiet high-school girl, but she moonlights as the host of bizarre livestreams where she creates mayhem in abandoned buildings and open wastelands with her homemade explosives all while acting as a preppy idol/magical girl hybrid.
Personality
Honoka has an outrageous, almost bipolar personality. Her 'idol' persona is almost overly peppy and cheerful, and extremely passionate about her 'art' and 'appealing' to potential fans. Contrasting this is her personality she has when she meets any kind of opposition or is upset, being rude, crass, swear-happy, and aggressive.
Voice Description
Honoka will require a VA able to capture both sides of her personality, so they will need to range from a medium-high pitched, peppy voice to a low pitched, gravelly one. Honoka's 'idol' personality is fiery, enthusiastic, and 'cutesy' to a manufactured degree. However she should also be able to dip into a much lower, rough. gravelly, and punk-ish. almost masculine tone. She tends to switch between the two on a dime, sometimes within the same sentence. Getting her second, lower tone correct is more important so I am willing to accept a more medium tone for her idol-persona if need be.

Biography
A girl with a strange 'sixth sense' and awareness of spirits she doesn't understand herself. Very passionate about studying the occult and demonology in order to one day be able to find definitive proof of the existence of the paranormal.
Personality
Ume is usually deadpan, and tends to keep to herself because she's aware of her 'creepy' demeanor and interests. She is almost always absorbed in her fascination with the supernatural. She dislikes socializing, and gets easily flustered or upset. Has a penchant towards snarking or being sarcastic under her breath.
Voice Description
Ume should have a hushed, high-pitched voice. Ume almost always speaks in a low volume under her breath in an almost whispery voice. Befitting her eerie appearance she has a gloomy murmuring tone but with a pointed sharpness when it comes to her pessimistic, sarcastic remarks. Tends to mumble when flustered, and extend certain words in a 'spooky' manner.

Biography:
An overtly ambitious member of her school's newspaper club. Mitsuba uses her investigative prowess and network of blackmailed 'slaves' to get what she wants. Her goal is to write 'definitive' articles, stirring and informative enough to become synonymous with 'the truth' and to be able to spread information free of bias.
Personality:
Sassy and snide. Very nosy, especially when she feels someone has something to hide. Hates secrets and lies above all else. She's spunky and determined, and relentless when it comes to grilling people for information being extremely forward. Brash and aggressive when she doesn't get her way.
Voice Description:
Mitsuba should have a snooty, high-pitched voice. Mitsuba is spunky, bossy, and very sure of herself and her voice should reflect that. She has a persistent, nosy attitude and speaks rapidly and with snide confidence when she's pressing for info. She's also rather impatient, opting for attempts at harsh and biting remarks when annoyed. Ironically, she herself is a rather bad liar and when put on the spot is prone to flustered stammering.

Biography
A prodigious competition archer from an old traditional Japanese family, she has begun training to eventually take part in the Olympics. Rei goes to an all-girls school where she's the idol of the school, where her skills, appearance and stoic demeanor earned her the title of 'cool beauty' and she has a large fan base.
Personality
In reality, the 'cool beauty' persona she's famous for is a result of her natural glare and difficulty talking to people, so despite her fans she has no friends and spends most of her time alone. Behind her stoic expression, she has a strange sense of humor and often breaks into awkward bouts of laughter.
Voice Description
Rei should have a medium-low, stoic voice. Due to her difficulty talking to people, Rei usually speaks in stunted, brief statements in a emotionless manner that make her come across as cold and intimidating. She does this to avoid talking at length, where the facade slips and she reveals her awkward flustered speech patterns, frequently pausing and tripping over her own words. She also has a strange sense of humour, and she attempts to stifle and muffle her own laughter when it comes out.

Biography
A manga artist who wrote an award winning drama series, and is the author of a currently running shonen action franchise under a pen name. She's from a wealthy family and attended a prestigious all-girls school where they were trained to be "proper ladies", closed off from commoners. She only recently received special permission to leave and mingle with modern society.
Personality
Urara is an eccentric person who speaks and acts in a 'proper' manner due to her upbringing, but is very friendly and does her best to keep 'unruly' people in line. She has a pace that's hard to keep up with. Having lived in a closed community for most of her life, she is incredibly curious and inquisitive and finds herself fascinated by new experiences and her peers.
Voice Description
Urara should have a posh, energetic medium-high voice. Being raised in an affluent environment, Urara speaks with a very proper and polite vocabulary. However this does not hamper her giddy and mischievous manner of speech. When encountering things that she finds uncouth or 'illicit' she responds with either a bossy, admonishing tone, or loudly decries it with comical offense. I currently am envisioning Urara with a posh, light British accent.

Biography:
A bizarre, chipper machine which claims to oversee the Last Hope Sanctuary as the curator where the students are trapped in. They are made up of tiny nanomachines, so they can reform and shape themselves at will.
Personality:
Monochrome is extremely proud of themselves and refers to how advanced and state-of-the art they are often. On the other hand, they look down on the students to an extreme degree and justify their cruelty because they consider the students sub-human. They may act cutesy, but they are quick to remind the students how much they spite them and how eager they are to see their numbers whittled down.
Voice Description:
While Monochrome themselves is gender ambiguous, for their voice I'm aiming for a high pitched, even child-like feminine voice. Monochrome is chipper and brimming with self-satisfaction. They talk about themselves and their ideas with an almost childlike giddiness which contrasts the actual cruelty in the content of their words. When being threatening they speak with a flat, sadistic, cruelty even with their light voice. Their voice will be run through filters to give an electronic feel to their voice.
