Hello! I'm Maya Amano (Ms. Dreamcast), and I'm running a dub of the first fifty chapters of Beastars alongside SwiftSky!
About:
Beastars (ビースターズ ) is a manga created by Paru Itagaki, the daughter of Grappler Baki's creator, Keisuke Itagaki. The story focuses on an anthropomorphic grey wolf named Legosi who falls in love with a female dwarf rabbit named Haru, and goes through many ordeals in order to try and be with her. This can range from trying to solve the murder of a fellow classmate to trying to capture a known and wanted criminal mastermind. The manga is, as of the posting of this casting call, at 170+ chapters and has no sign of stopping soon.
Audio Quality:
We want your audio to sound really fine and clear. No to minimal background noises, static, and no voice effects minus basic noise reduction. Please do not use built-in laptop microphones or smartphone mics. While some have been able to make them sound good, most of the time they aren't up to the quality most casting directors want. USB mics are allowed, but XLR microphones are recommended and encouraged due to the higher quality of sound it can provide. If you are able to sound good with a USB mic, feel free to audition for a role!
Communication:
All communication will be done with Discord. Any concerns or problems with using Discord or with the server the project is running in can be directed towards me and SwiftSky on the Discord.
Future Plans:
We plan on dubbing all of the manga but we plan on focus dubbing for every 50 chapters. If a character appears later into the manga that first appears in 1-50, you will have that role even with a new casting call for 51-100.

Legosi also referred to as Legosi, is a male gray wolf and the main protagonist of Beastars. Though feared and misjudged by others for being a tall carnivore, he is rather quite mild-mannered, docile and awkward. Legosi has assigned himself to solve the mystery of the murder of Tem and is later exposed to the prejudices of the world he lives in.

Haru is a main character of Beastars. She was the former group leader of the Cherryton gardening club and is currently studying botany at a university.
Due to some scenes, we recommend being 18+ in order to audition.

(calm, seductive) Relax... It's my first time with a carnivore. Oh, your stomach's the same color as your facial hair. What a beautiful cream color. I wanna see how far it goes.
(a solemn melancholy) I am about to die, so shamefully that it's almost funny. I was abducted by some weird group of mobsters. I did to live life to the fullest as a female and a small mammal.
Louis is a main character of Beastars, being the deutragonist to Legosi. Louis was the head member of the CHerryton Academy drama club and was the candidate for the title of Beastar. He also served as the head of the Shishigumi for a time. Louis appears to be arrogant and self-righteous, but underneath him lies his insecurity about being physically weak.

Jack is a main character in Beastars. He is Legosi's close childhood friend.

Bill is a male Bengal tiger, a second-year student and actor in the drama club at Cherryton Academy. He serves as the main antagonist of the Drama Club arc. Later, he's a side character.

Juno is a main character in Beastars and is a member of the drama club on the actor team. An Affable she-wolf, she wishes to become the next Beastar, competing against Louis.
(Confident) It's okay... The Meteor Festival will be a success. For sure.
(Contemplative) Why does this bunny sound so mature...? She's all white and so small. She talks like a grown-up, but sound like a child... She's the polar opposite of me... Why do I have to lose to her!?
(Making a speech) The day before the festival, he knew that his fellow schoolmate went missing, and spent the following night risking life and limb to save her. Even despite the recent tragedies that have happened... I want to show you that THIS is what a carnivore is really made of. Tremendous strength, hidden potential, and absolute splendor!
Gouhin is a main character in Beastars. He works as a doctor and therapist for carnivores in the Black Market.
(gruff, angry) That's only because you've developed a personal interest in a rabbit!! That's extremely dangerous.
(Gruff) Hmph... O Sad Wolf. Be thankful that I found you lying down in the back alley. No one can see us from here.
Chief Lion was a character of Beastars and the main antagonist in the Meteor Festival arc. He was the leader of the criminal group Shishigumi, until he was killed by Louis.
(Scolding) A bunch of big lions ganging up on a little bunny... Shameful.
(Prideful) There's no use for senseless violence when I just want to enjoy my meal.
(Anger) Come over here...!! Right where I want you! I didn't want to have a violent meal, but you leave me with no choice...!!
The shishigumi is a gang of lions that run the Back Alley Market. Since no named lions other than Chief Lion really appear in 1-50, the lions are just unnamed minions.
(a little peeved) I thought you were gonna get something good... This urchin is not gonna fill his stomach.
(prideful) We're the shishigumi, and the Back Alley Market is our stronghold.
(angry, in a fight) Hey, Old Guy. Don't take us lightly. We're pros!!
Els is a recurring character in Beastars. She was the secret love interest of Tem before he was murdered by a carnivore student.
(quiet, but panicked) During club, he was looking at me the entire time... He had the look of a predator.
(calm, talking to a friend) Now that I think about it, There's no real reason why Legosi-kun would want to eat me, and he was always weird. Maybe I'm getting worked up over nothing.
(angry, a bit betrayed) You pretend to be a nice guy, and when you're hungry, you treat us like food...? How dare you? How dare you? I'm not the kind of animal that... you...
