Flitting Sparrowkeet Wong
open
Paid: Hourly 120 USD

For voice reference:  Torhu from Jackie Chan Adventures

At a first glance, he looks like he could either be the strong silent type, or even the dumb henchman type, but Flitting Sparrowkeet Wong is not only a master earthbender that helps teach Kyoshi the finer craft of Earthbending, but also the main teacher for how to user her iconic fans.  He has the strength to match his appearance, along with the grace of a master performer.

Wong, along with the rest of his group, Kirima, Bullet Lek and Lao Ge, are part of a bandit conglomerate called the Flying Opera Company; a group that at their strongest, was one of the most feared names in the Earth Kingdom, but with the death of both Jesa and Hark (Kyoshi's parents) the group fell on hard times.  Their numbers dwindled, and their resources depleted and are now reduced to just four members, until Kyoshi shows up at their door.

  • (Directing, frustratedly) No, no, no! It’s fan open, fan closed, high block, step back, lunge forward, leg sweep! The fan is not a weapon! It is an extension of your arm!

  • (melancholic, poetic) The peony sheds its beauty before the moon, shamed by the light of a spirit so pure - I leap to catch its petals - and mourn what I have left unsaid

  • (Observing two bandits scrapping) When the law gives you nothing to eat, you turn to the Code. Then at least you can feast on your pride.

Bullet Lek
open
Paid: Hourly 120 USD

His voice could either be a young teenager (just had his voice changed) or prepubescent.  As he's at an age where he could sound like either.

Bullet Lek, the youngest in the Flying Opera Company is a skilled earthbender, and an excellent Sky Bison handler.  He shares a unique relationship with Kyoshi.  A few years after they abandoned Kyoshi in Yokoya, they discovered him in the Si-Wong Desert, in essence, they raised him instead of raising Kyoshi.

  • (stretching and then scratching the sky bison under the chin) Ah…this is the good life. Who’s a good girl? Who’s a good girl? You are! Yes you are!

  • (smugly) I’m pretty good at spotting an undercover. And I think this is your story: Your daddy bought you an officer’s commission from a crooked governor, and the first thing you decided to do was come to us and play detective. (points to Rangi) And she was assigned to watch your back, but she didn’t do a very good job, because look! Now you’re here!

  • (melancholic, reflecting) The people of the town killed my brother to uphold the law, and in the end...it meant nothing. If the law was there to protect the village and the village didn’t survive, then what was it all for? ...I always wondered if those people felt satisfied about condemning that one boy that one time, while they fled the sandstorm that buried their houses. I always hoped Chen’s death was worth it to someone...
